Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Altec Lansing Solo Jacket IMW375 Bluetooth Speaker. You can use this speaker
to listen to audio wirelessly from devices such as smart phones, computers, iPods, tablets and most other
Bluetooth sound sources. Furthermore you can pair two Solo Jacket speakers to your Bluetooth device
simultaneously for true stereo sound. Please read this manual carefully FIRST in order to get the most out of
your speaker. Please note the Solo Jacket speaker is rated IPX67 waterproof, shockproof, dustproof. The Solo
Jacket can be submerged under water 3 feet for up to 30 minutes but the waterproof cover on the back must
be fully closed otherwise any damage caused by water will not be covered under warranty.
Important Safety Precautions
When using your speaker basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR SPEAKER.
2. Never expose your speaker to high temperatures.
3. In order to avoid the risk of electric shock, never attempt to open your speaker or repair it without the
assistance of certified professionals.
4. If you do not intend on using your speaker for an extended period of time, please unplug the AC power
adapter from the power outlet and also disconnect it from your speaker.

Charging Your Speaker
1. Connect one end of the included USB charging cable to the IMW375 DC input jack. Then plug the other end
of the cable into an available USB port on your computer to recharge your speaker’s internal rechargeable
battery.
NOTE: The internal battery of your speaker takes approximately four hours to charge when completely drained.
2. When charging, a red LED light will illuminate to indicate that the unit is charging. The red light will turn off
when your unit is fully charged.
Remarks : The USB port is for charging use only, no data transmission functionality
Understanding the LED Status Indicators
Power and Bluetooth Indicator Light
Blinking Green LED = Your speaker is powered ON and ready for Bluetooth pairing with another Solo Jacket
speaker for true stereo sound.
Blinking Blue LED = An individual Solo Jacket speaker is ready to be paired with your Bluetooth device for
MONO sound, or a pair of Solo Jacket speakers are ready to be paired with your Bluetooth device for STEREO
sound.
Charging Indicator Lights
Solid Red LED = Charging
Red LED OFF = Battery fully charged.
Powering Your Speakers ON & OFF
1. Press and hold the “POWER” button for 3 seconds to turn on your speaker. The LED light will start blinking
slowly and the speaker will say, “Powering On”. Now you are ready to pair your audio source with your
IMW375 speaker.
2. Press and hold the “POWER” button for 3 seconds to turn off the unit. The speaker will say, “Powering Off”
Power Saving Mode
The IMW375 will enter a power saving mode if no audio is played for 30 minutes. Press and hold the power
button for two seconds to wake the IMW375.
Setting Up Your IMW375 Bluetooth Music Receiver
Bluetooth Device Compatibility
Your speaker connects with all Bluetooth devices that support the A2DP profile including iPads, iPhones, iPod
touches, and most smart phones, laptops and tablets.
Pairing a Bluetooth Device with Your Speaker
Press and hold the “POWER” button for two seconds to turn on the unit. The speaker’s LED light will start
blinking slowly. Now you are ready to pair your Bluetooth device with your IMW375 speaker.
1. Go to the Bluetooth Manager of your Bluetooth device.
2. Search Bluetooth devices and select “IMW375” to start connecting.
3. Enter “0000” if your device asks for the PIN code.
4. Once paired, the speaker will say, “You are now paired, enjoy” and the Blue LED light will turn on steadily.
5. Although the speaker can only stream audio from one device at a time, it is capable of being paired with up
to eight devices. This means that you only have to enter the PIN code no more than one time for each device.
Playing Audio from Your Bluetooth Device
1. Once your Bluetooth device is paired with your IMW375 speaker, simply start playing the music, movie or
game and all the audio will automatically be played through the IMW375.
2. Press “POWER” to play/pause the audio.
3. Press + or - to adjust the volume level of the unit.
4. Keep in mind that the IMW375 has a 30 foot Bluetooth wireless range.
Note: The volume controls on your media device work separately from the volume controls on the IMW375.
When there is an incoming call:
1. Press the “Power” button to pick up the call.
2. Press and hold the “Power” button to reject the call.
3. During the call: Press the “Power” button to hang up the call.
To Disconnect Your Bluetooth Device
Turn off the paired Bluetooth device or press the Volume “+” and “-“ buttons simultaneously to disconnect the
Bluetooth device from your speaker. Your speaker will power off automatically.
Reconnecting Your Device
If you move out of range or turn off the Bluetooth feature on your device, the unit will disconnect from your
device. To reconnect, simply access the Bluetooth Manager on your device and select IMW375.
You will not be asked to enter the PIN code again.
Out of Range or Lost Signal
If your Bluetooth device is out of range (beyond 30 feet) of your speaker or if there is something blocking the
Bluetooth signal, the LED light will flash slowly to indicate that the Bluetooth connection with the Bluetooth
device has been lost.
To avoid a lost connection:
1. Move the Bluetooth device back into range of your speaker (within 30 feet), and/or make sure there’s a clear
line of sight between the unit and the Bluetooth device.
2. If the connection is lost, the connection will need to be reestablished. Follow the directions under
“Reconnecting Your Device”.
Playing music from a non-Bluetooth device
The IMW375 includes a 3.5mm Auxiliary Cable. To listen to music from a non-Bluetooth device, plug on end of
this cable into the Aux In jack located on the back of the IMW375 (you will need to open the waterproof cover).
Plug the other end of the cable into the 3.5mm headphone jack of your non-Bluetooth device. Set the volume
on the device to ¾ volume and begin playing music. Adjust the volume on the IMW375 to a suitable listening
level.
Waterproof Feature
The IMW375 has an IPX rating of 67 meaning it is waterproof at a depth of 3 feet or approximately 1 meter for
up to 30 minutes. You MUST have the waterproof cover on the back of the IMW375 closed and fully sealed to
achieve this level of waterproof. Failure to do this voids the warranty.
Pairing Two Solo Jacket Speakers with Your Bluetooth Device for True Stereo Sound
With the purchase of an additional Solo Jacket speaker, you can pair both speakers to your Bluetooth device in
order to get true stereo sound. To do so, follow the steps below:
1. Press and hold the “POWER” buttons on both speakers simultaneously for 5 seconds. The speakers will say,
“Powering On” and then emit a beeping sound to indicate both speakers can be paired to your Bluetooth
device. A green LED light will start blinking on both of your speakers.
2. Both speakers will begin to pair together automatically. The speakers will audibly emit a voice saying, “You
are now paired, enjoy,” and the Green LED light will stay illuminated steadily. Note that the pairing process will
take up to 30 seconds.
3. After the successful pairing of both speakers, you will see a blue LED light start blinking on one of either of
the two speakers. You can now pair your speakers to your Bluetooth device.
4. Pair your speakers with your Bluetooth device.
a. Go to the Bluetooth Manager of your Bluetooth device.
b. Search Bluetooth devices and select “IMW375” to start connecting.
c. Enter “0000” if your device asks for the PIN code.
d. Once paired, the speaker will say, “You are now paired, enjoy” and the Blue LED light will turn on steadily.
5. Play Audio from Your Bluetooth Device
a. Once your Bluetooth device is paired with your IMW375 speakers, simply start playing the music, movie or
game and all the audio will automatically be played through the two speakers.
b. Press “POWER” to play/pause the audio.
c. Press + or - to adjust the volume level of the unit.
d. Keep in mind that the IMW375 has a 30 foot Bluetooth wireless range.
