For best washing results and

energy savings, sort the laundry

carefully

1. Sort the Laundry into Loads.

Group the laundry Into loads that

can be washed and dried together.

See the Laundry Guide for Informa-

tion and samples of typical loads

Try to mix large and small items for

best movement In the washer

2. Measure Detergent; Add to

Washer Basket.

See detergent Information on page

6 and In Section IV of the Laundry

3. Load the Washer.

Load without packing so items can

move freely for best cleaning and

least wrinkling

Spread the load evenly [Don’t put

all the towels on one side and a few

The

SUDS-MISER ’ System

Your washer has the SUDS-MISER System. It has two drain

hoses One hose moves used wash water into a storage tub and

moves it back Into the washer when it’s called for. The other hose

carries water to another tub with an open drain, or to a stand-

pipe drain

If you do not want to re-use wash water, leave the stopper out

of the storage tub so the water drains away

If you have a storage tub big enough to hold at least 20

gallons (76 liters), you can have a qualified installer convert

your washer to save all the wash water.

To Save Wash Water

Be sure the stopper is in the storage tub. The SUDS-MISER System

does not save rinse water from any cycle, nor does it save wash

water from the PERMANENT PRESSCycle.

To Re-Use Wash Water

Pull the Control Knob out.

The washer will pump most of the

water

from the storage tub back

into the washer basket. The washer

will finish filling with fresh water.

Drain the storage tub.

Water still in

the tub will have any soil that

settled out. The hose is cut on an
