Product Overview
Wheelers’ Paramill is a patented treadmill technology designed for wheelchair users—from the
sedentary to the athletic and to those in SCI rehabilitation. The experience of a powerful cardio
workout like none experienced before—with ease, control, and convenience. Every action that is
performed in a forward motion can also be performed in a backward motion. By using the backward
motion the person exercising can strengthen his or her core and back muscles.
Did you know that your Wheeler’s Paramill wheelchair-accessible treadmill qualifies as ADA
compliant? This is important since Article 236.1 of the ADA states that each type of exercise machine
must be ADA compliant. Use this to your advantage to help generate additional revenue for your
facility as well as receive possible tax credits.

Wheeler’s Paramill cannot anticipate every possible circumstance that might involve a potential
hazard. Therefore, the warnings and cautions in this manual or any found on the equipment may not
be all inclusive. Use care and good judgment in the operation and maintenance of this equipment.
Always take precautions to protect yourself and others. Follow all applicable federal, state, local, and
industry-specific safety regulations and standards.

IMPORTANT: Before beginning any exercise program, consult your personal physician.
Stop using the Paramill and consult your physician before continuing if you experience
• pain or tightness in your chest
• irregular heartbeats
• shortness of breath
• faintness, or
• other unusual discomfort while exercising.

Do not use the Paramill if you have one of the conditions listed below unless directed by or under the
supervision of a physician.
• Acute thrombosis
• Acute hernia, discopathy, or spondylolysis
• Cardio-vascular disease
• Diabetes
• Epilepsy
• Migraines
• Injury or recent surgery
• Pregnancy
• Tumors
• Wearing
o a pacemaker or
o recently-fitted coils, metal pins, bolts, or plates

General Safety Precautions
• Replace defective components immediately and/or keep the Paramill out of use until it is
repaired.
• Do not use the Paramill if the power cable becomes damaged or worn.
• Turn the power off after use.
• Do not insert any object into any openings.
• Do not leave the Paramill until it stops completely and the roller is completely lowered or at rest
(meaning the wheels no longer touch the roller).
• Do not use the Paramill outdoors or near water.
• Only one person at a time should use this Paramill.
• Always use this Paramill on a clear and level surface.
• Supervision is required when children and pets are near the Paramill.
• Supervision or instructions by a person responsible for their safety are required for persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or who lack
experience and knowledge of the use of the Paramill.
• Paramill weight limit is 350 pounds.

Before beginning your Workout
Apply the following checklist for each workout:
A. IMPORTANT: Inflate wheelchair tires to the maximum recommended pressure to ensure
performance is not compromised.
B. Examine the Paramill for damage and wear.
C. Check power cables, straps, connection points, etc.
D. Inspect the Paramill to ensure that all nuts and bolts are fully tightened.
E. Make sure the two (2) latch pins are securely attaching the ramp in place.
