2. Switching the Weight Mode
Note: For use only with model containing the weight mode button
The weight mode can be changed any time, except when “88888” appears on the display. Press the
“kg/lb-oz” button and the display will show the preset unit of measurement.
If you want to change the mode, press “kg/lb-oz” button until the desired mode is selected.
The mode will be stored after shut off.
3. Inserting the Batteries
Open the battery cover on the back of the measuring platform. Insert the
supplied AA-batteries as indicated
Note: Be sure that the polarity of the batteries is set properly. If the batteries
are incorrectly positioned the fluid may leak and damage floors. If you do not
intend to use this unit for a long period of time, it is advisable to remove the
batteries before storage
Please note that the included batteries from factory may have decreased
energy levels over time
4. Important Notes
•Do not get the scale wet or store in a humid place
•The scale is a precision instrument –do not drop it, jump on it or drop heavy
objects onto it
•Do not dismantle or adjust the scale
•When pressing the On/Tare button, do not hold it down. This will cause the
“Err” (error) message to appear on the display

5. Taking Weight Measurement
Turn on the power by pressing the On/Tare button
“88888” will appear on the display
Wait for the display to read “0 0.0” and place the baby on the scale (within 60 seconds.)
Display will show weight
After taking the baby away from the tray, the display will return to “0 0.0” and turn off
automatically after approximately 3 seconds
6. Tare Function
The Tare function allows you to weigh the baby with another item (i.e. towel or blanket)
without skewing the actual weight of the baby.
Turn on scale
Place item (i.e. towel or blanket) on the baby tray.
Press the On/Tare button to reset scale to “0 0.0”.
Place baby on the scale
Note:
When the total weight of item and baby’s weight exceeds 40 lb or 20 kg, the display shows “OL” (overload.)
7. Recall Function
The previous reading can be obtained using the RECALL button
(Recall will only display one previous reading.)
While the weight result is being displayed, press the RECALL button. The display automatically shows the
previous reading of weight for 10 seconds. Press the RECALL button again to go back to the current weight.
While the scale is off, press the RECALL button. The display automatically shows the previous reading of
weight for 10 seconds.
8. Replacing Batteries
If “Lo” appears on the display, batteries are running down and need to be replaced.
If nothing appears on the display the batteries are dead and need to be replaced.
