2.1 Cabling Your System
1. Connect the HDMI cable supplied into the interface marked HDMI on your media unit and the
other end into a HDMI socket on your TV.
2. Connect your Ethernet cable from the media to a free port on your router/modem.*
It is strongly recommended that you use an Ethernet connection rather than a wireless
connection to your router. If the cable will not reach the location of your router, then a longer
cable can be purchased, or a powerline Ethernet adapter that will use your electrical wiring to
establish the connection can be purchased via our website at www.triotechgroup.com.
If you do decide to use a wireless connection, configuration details are give in section 2.4

2.3 Check Your Network Connection
If you are using a wired Ethernet connection, your network should be automatically configured. To check
you are online, check the system time in the top right of the Home Screen. If it is correct then you are
already connected and able to watch some TV.
Should your time be incorrect, please follow the procedure in the next section to connect your Ethernet or
Wifi network.
2.2 Powering on/Off
Once your unit is plugged in, the on/off button on the front of the unit will turn red. You can switch the unit
on and off by either pressing the button or using the power button on your remote. By selecting the HDMI
source on your television remote, you should see Clearstream Home Screen as below.
After a minute or so, you will see the Home Screen appear.

7
2.4 Configure your Network
Access the Android settings Icon under Programs from your TV menu. You will then be able to select
either an Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection. Follow the on screen prompts to enable the selected connection.
Whichever you choose, please make sure the BLUE toggle switch in the top right of the menu is set to
on by using the remote.
2.5 Enabling SMART DNS Service for access to ITV/BBC iPlayer.
If you require access to the full BBC iPlayer or ITV player catch-up services, you will need to configure a
smart DNS service such as Unotelly or Overplay. This service will give you a valid UK network address
so you can access these Addons without having to connect via a VPN etc.
To find out more, go to the ONDEMAND section on our website at www.triotechgroup.com/ondemand,
or go to the HELP icon from the Video Addons tab on your Home screen and look at the FAQ section.

3. Using your Remote Controller
You will then go through a process of moving the RIGHT ANGLE with the remote cursor buttons until
it’s fits square in the top left of the screen. The same process is carried out in the bottom right of the
screen, followed by selecting where the subtitles should appear. Finally you will see a square in the
centre of the screen. Use the LEFT/RIGHT buttons on your remote to make it a perfect square and
press return. You can exit the menu back to the home screen using your BACK or RETURN button
on your remote Your screen is now calibrated.
2.6 Calibrating Your Screen
If you find that some of the text is missing in the corners of your Home screen, your system needs to
be calibrated to your TV. To do this, from the Home screen, go RIGHT to: SYSTEM—> SETTINGS .
Then select :VIDEO OUTPUT - VIDEO CALIBRATION as shown below.
After a minute or so, you will see the Home Screen appear.
Please refer to the REMOTE KEYCARD sheet that came with your unit.

player and entertainment hub for digital media. It was designed for network playback, so you can
stream your multimedia from anywhere in the house or directly from the internet using practically any
protocol available. This software is provided pre-configured and at no charge with your system.
In addition to this, we have also provided our unique Clearstream management software that provides
automatic updates when required, directly to your unit each time you switch on. It also provides several
tools to check Internet speed, maintain your system and a RECOVERY option which will download and
install a default image to your unit to bring it back to the state when purchased.
