8. The unit has no user servi eable parts inside. Refer all servi ing to qualified servi e personnel. Servi ing is
required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, su h as power-supply ord or plug is damaged, liquid
has been spilled or obje ts have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does
not operate normally, or has been dropped.
9. Use the mains plug to dis onne t the apparatus from the AC mains. The mains plug shall remain easily
a essible.
10. To ompletely dis onne t unit power from the AC mains, dis onne t the unit’s power ord from the mains so ket.
To re onne t power, plug the unit’s power ord into the mains so ket following all safety instru tions and guidelines.
11. Never push obje ts of any kind into this produ t through abinet apertures as they may tou h dangerous voltage
points or short out parts that ould result in fire or ele tri sho k.
For PERMA E TLY CO ECTED EQUIPME T, a readily accessible disconnect device shall be incorporated
external to the equipment.
For PLUGGABLE EQUIPME T, the socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily
accessible.
Verification of the protective earthing connection of the socket-outlet by a skilled person is required for the
safe use of the product.

1. Introduction
Network Time Proto ol (NTP) an be used to syn hronize the time on network lients, a ross an IP network, to the
orre t time of an NTP time server. TimeTools NTP Servers provide a stratum 1 NTP Time Server for ensuring the time is
orre t a ross an entire network.
The Network Time Server a quires time from the satellite onstellation and distributes time a ross a network using the
TCP/IP Network Time Proto ol (NTP).
2. Key Features
Model T300: 16- hannel, high sensitivity GPS timing re eiver.
Model T550: 32- hannel, multi- onstellation timing re eiver providing re eption of GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and is
Galileo ready*1.
Timing re eiver syn hronises to less than 15 nanose onds (GPS Lo ked).
Can operate with outdoor, indoor or window lo ated antenna, saving on abling osts.
T550: Integrated high-stability TCXO os illator provides holdover during loss of signal lo k.
NTP a urate to less than 3 mi rose ond (3x10-6 se onds) UTC (GPS Lo ked).
Syn hronize in ex ess of 100,000 lients.
Model T300: Single 10/100 Mbit auto-sensing, auto-MDIX Ethernet ports.
Model T550: Dual 10/100 Mbit auto-sensing, auto-MDIX Ethernet ports.
IPv4 and IPv6 Internet Proto ol.
Integrated universal AC mains input PSU for world-wide operation.
Made in UK.

4. Front Panel
The T300 T550 models have the following front panel indi ators/ onne tors: LCD Display, Alarm, USB.
4.1. LCD Display
The T300 T550 are fitted with two line by 40 hara ter ultra-bright ba klit LCD displays for providing status and
onfiguration information to the user. The display typi ally shows urrent time, system time offset ompared to referen e
lo k, NTP status, GPS status and number of satellites urrently in use.
4.2. Alarm Indicator
A red / green bi- olour LED on the T300 T550 front panel indi ates status and fault onditions.
4.3. USB Port
A USB port is provided for onvenient and easy installation of firmware updates. Standard USB flash memory devi es
an be used for firmware updates.

5. Rear Panel
The rear panel of the T300 T550 models have the following onne tors: Power, Eth0, Eth1 (T550 only) , Antenna,
Console.
5.1. Power Inlet
Power to the applian e is applied via the double-fused IEC power entry inlet. The applian e a epts 100-240 VAC, 50-
60Hz 0.1A. Fuse spe ifi ation is two T 0.315A LBC 250V fuses.
5.2. Ethernet Ports
The T300 models have a single RJ45 10/100 MBit auto-sensing, auto-MDIX Ethernet port labelled Eth0.
The T550 models have dual RJ45 10/100 Mbit auto-sensing, auto-MDIX Ethernet ports labelled Eth0 and Eth1.

5.3. Console
The Console port is a 9-way D-type female RS232 serial onne tion for devi e onfiguration using dumb terminal
emulator. Null modem able supplied for onne tion to standard 9-way PC serial interfa e.
RS232 Console port pin-outs:
Pin 2: RX
Pin 3: TX
Pin 5: GND
The applian e has a se ondary serial port for optional serial time ode output. It is ombined into the same 9-way D-type
onne tor as the onsole port. A ustom serial able is required to utilise the se ondary serial port.

Pin 8 : RXB
5.4. GPS/G SS Antenna Connection
The GPS/GNSS antenna onne tor is a 50 ohm TNC female onne tor. It a epts a oax able to a 5V GPS/GNSS
antenna. Use only the antenna and able supplied by TimeTools with the T300 T550.
