BEFORE FIRST USE - AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
ANTES DEL PRIMER USO
Remove toaster from packaging.
Sortez le grille-pain de son emballage.
Saque el aparato de su empaque.
Clean the toaster with a damp cloth.
Nettoyez-le avec un linge humide.
Limpie el tostador con un paño húmedo.
Plug the toaster into the wall outlet. Unwind the power cord
completely. Never operate with cord partially unrolled.
Branchez l’appareil.
Conecte el aparato.
Turn the dial control to maximum browning setting without
inserting any bread.
Mettez le réglage à la position 6.
Con el tostador vacío ponga el botón de control sobre el
nivel 6.
Press toast lever for 3 sequential toasting sessions to re-
move “new” smell.
Faites fonctionner l'appareil à vide 3 fois pour éliminer
l’odeur d’appareil neuf.
Ponga el tostador en marcha 3 veces.

TOSTADO DEL PAN
Insert bread.
Mettez le pain dans l'appareil.
Coloque las rebanadas de pan.
Select browning level from 1 to 6 using the dial control.
Réglez le grillage de 1 à 6.
Gradúe el nivel de tostado.
Press down the lever to start toasting.
Abaissez la manette de commande.
Baje la palanca para empezar el tostado.
The toasting begins.
Le grillage commence.
El proceso de tostado comenzará.
Plug the toaster into the wall outlet.
Branchez l’appareil.
Conecte el aparato.

Push lever up in the high position.
Maintenez le levier en position élevée.

Remove toast.

Press the CANCEL button at any time to stop the toasting
cycle.
Bouton CANCEL : pour arrêter le cycle de grillage à tout

To remove smaller-sized breads after the toasting cycle.

Do not try to force lever up.

REHEAT* - RÉCHAUFFAGE* - RECALENTAMIENTO*
Insert bread.
Mettez le pain dans l'appareil.
Coloque las rebanadas de pan.
To reheat previously toasted breads without further toasting them, use the
REHEAT button.
Pour réchauffer du pain déjà grillé sans le griller davantage, utilisez la fonction
REHEAT.
Para calentar pan previamente tostado utilice la función REHEAt.
Press down the lever to start toasting.
Abaissez le levier de commande.
Baje la palanca.

Press the REHEAT button.

BAGEL*
Insert the bagel as shown, with the cut sides facing in.
Placez votre bagel coupé en deux, la mie orientée vers
l'intérieur.
Coloque el bagel con la parte blanca hacia el interior.
To toast a bagel use the BAGEL button.
Pour griller un bagel utilisez la fonction BAGEL.
Para tostar el Bagel use el botón BAGEL.

Press down the lever to start toasting.

Baje la palanca para empezar el tostado.
The toaster will come on for just a short time to heat up the
bread that has already been toasted.
L’appareil va fonctionner pendant un temps court, adapté
simplement pour réchauffer votre pain déjà grillé.
El tostador va a funcionar solamente por un tiempo corto
para calentar pan previamente tostado.

CLEANING - NETTOYAGE - LIMPIEZA
Unplug the toaster from the wall outlet.
Débranchez le grille-pain.
Desenchufe el tostador.
Allow the toaster to cool completely.
Laissez-le refroidir complètement.
Deje enfriar completamente.
Clean the toaster with a damp cloth.
Nettoyez l'extérieur avec un linge humide.
Limpie el exterior del tostador con un paño húmedo.
Press the BAGEL button.
Appuyez sur la touche BAGEL.
Oprima el botón "BAGEL".

A removable crumb tray is provided for easy cleaning. Pull
out the tray completely and discard the crumbs.
Videz le tiroir à miettes amovible.
Limpie la charola recogemigas.
Place back the crumb tray after cleaning.
Remettez le tiroir à miettes en place après le nettoyage.
Coloque de nuevo la bandeja recogemigas.
Do not operate toaster under or around any flammable ma-
terials.
Ne faites pas fonctionner l'appareil à proximité de matières
inflammables (rideaux ...).

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed in-
cluding the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or this appliance in water
or other liquid.
4. Not intended for use by children. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being
used near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting
on or taking offparts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance mal-
functions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest autho-
rized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may
cause injuries.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect
turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet.
12. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
13. Oversize foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in a toaster as
they may involve a risk of fire or electric shock.
14. A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including cur-
tains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
15. Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
The packaging of your product is made of recyclable materials. Do not throw it out
with your usual garbage; take advantage of your local recycling program.
DO
• The toaster must always be used in the upright position (not on its side or tilted
forward or back).
• Before each use, make sure that the crumb tray is in its proper location.
• Regularly remove crumbs from crumb tray.
• The control lever must be in the “Up” position before attaching or disconnecting
the plug from wall outlet.
• If bread jams in the slots after toasting, the unit will automatically shut off. Dis-
connect the plug immediately from the wall outlet and wait for the appliance to
cool before attempting to remove the bread.
• Disconnect the appliance if it shows any working abnormalities.
