This appliance is intended for indoor domestic use only, and has not been designed for commercial, industrial or trade use.
WARNING
Electrical shock hazard
• Unplugthe SmartThermo Cookerfromoutlet when notinuse,and beforecleaning. Donot put onortakeo parts whilethe SmartThermoCooker is in
operation.
• Do not puttheSmartThermo Cookerin water or otherliquid.Cleanwith a dampclothonly. No wateror dirt should enterthebase unit.
• Do not operatethe SmartThermoCooker if thecordor plugbecomesdamaged,if theappliancemalfunctions,or if theSmart Thermo Cookerisdropped
ordamagedin anymanner.The Smart ThermoCookercanonly bedisassembled andrepairedby the manufacturer, itsserviceagentorsimilarly qualified
persons in orderto avoida hazard.
• Avoidspillageon theconnector.
• Ifwinding the powercord,avoid tight bendsasthis coulddamagethecord.
To avoid scalding, burn injury and laceration hazard, do not try to open the bowl lid by force.
• Neverforcethe bowl lidopen.
• Only openthebowllid whenthespeed issetto “0”.
If the hole in the bowl lid is blocked with food and the heating is active, an overpressure can build up in the bowl and the hot contents can
erupt from it.
• While cooking,ifyoufind theholein thebowllid blocked or ifthe measuring cupis being pushedup,unplugthe SmartThermoCooker. DONOTtouch the
controls.
• Do not fillthebowl past themaxfill line(3litres).
• Ensurethatthe hole inthe bowl lidremainsfreeoffood.
• Neverhold downorfix themeasuringcup whenprocessinghotfood.
You may get burned or scalded by escaping hot food or steam or by touching hot surfaces. The heating element surface is subject to residual
heat after use.
• Ifthe applianceisoverfilled,boilingwatermay beejected.
• Removethe bowlcarefullyto helppreventcontentsfromspilling or splashing.
• Do not letthepowercordhang overthe edgeof atable or counter, ortouchanyhot surface,such asa stove.
• Place theSmart ThermoCooker onaclean, solid,evensurfaceto helpprevent itfromslipping.
• The useofattachments oritemsnotrecommended orsoldbyBalcoBrands maycausefire,electric shock orinjury.
• To avoidinjury when processinghotfood,placethe measuringcupintothe openingofthebowl lid. Nevertouch, holddownorfix themeasuringcup when
processinghotfood.
• Usingthe pulse modeorabruptly increasing mixing speedwith hot foodmay result inscaldinginjury. When processing hotfood, increase the speed
gradually.
• Do not touchthe surfaceof the bowl,thebowllid, thesteamerkit and parts ofthemeasuring cupas they willbecomehot when processinghotfood.
• Touch onlythe handlesonthe sidesofthe steamerkit whenthesteamer kit ishot.
• The Smart ThermoCookercangeneratea constantflowof steam whilecookingdepending on thechosen settings.Keep away fromthe steam.Hotsteam
willcontinue to riseupthroughthe holeinthe bowllid whenremovingthe entiresteamer kit.Hot steam mayescape at thesidesand fromthe topofthe
Steamerlid during operation.
• Do not usetheSmartThermo Cookerwith damaged accessories.
• Scalding duetofoodboilingovermayoccur ifheatinglargequantitiesof food at hightemperatures. Ifboilingoveroccurs, switchothe power button to
stopthemachine.
• When removing thesteamerlid, tilt thelidaway fromyourface andbodyto avoid escapingsteam.
• Ensurethatsome slotsofthe steamer basketand trayremain uncoveredoffoodtoavoidan uncontrolledescape ofsteam.
• Positionthesteamer kit correctlyontothebowl and theSmart ThermoCookertopreventthe steamer kitfrombecomingdetached.
• Removespatula fromthe inner basketafterremovinginner basketand placingiton alevelsurface.If leftininner basket, spatulamaycause innerbasketto
tipand spillhotcontents.
• Contents of innerbasketmaysplash during removal.Use carewhen removingthe inner basket.
• Do not disassemblethe blade fromthe bowlwhileit ishot.
• Be carefulif hotliquidis pouredintothe SmartThermoCooker asit can beejected out oftheappliance duetoa sudden steaming.
