1.) Information - read carefully

Theinstructions(i.1„Generalinstructions“andi.2„Product-specic

instructions“) must always be available in the national language. If

these are not available, the seller must clarify this with SKYLOTEC

before resale. The instructions must be made available to the user.

Herewith you have purchased a lead set including emergency

lowering function. Be sure to read and observe the specic

instructions for the individual components. Before starting work, a

risk assessment and an emergency plan must be prepared and

known. Read and understand the instructions for all components

and check the set and all your equipment before each use. After a

fall, the entire set must be discarded and immediately withdrawn

from further use.

ItIt is forbidden to remove the metal cable tie from the lory itself!

(Fig.1) If this is no longer present, the set must be immediately

withdrawn from any use and sent to SYKLOTEC.

The SET has been produced in accordance with the working and

access procedure recognised in DGUV I 203-047 „Protection

against falls from a height during the construction and operation of

overhead lines“.

It must be pointed out that only persons trained by SKYLOTEC

may use the set. Only persons trained by SKYLOTEC may change

the rope or carry out the annual inspection. The rope including the

shock absorber should be replaced after 10 years at the latest.

Emergency personnel with the training „Safe working in areas

where there is a risk of falling“ (equipment set for fall protection DIN

14800-17),certiedbyastaterebrigadeschoolorequivalent,are

also authorised to use and inspect the set

The maximum distance between two belay points (also ensured by

the loop method) must not exceed 1.6m (if necessary, set an

additional belay point, e.g. with a strap loop, see also Table 1).

Attention!

Up to a climbing height of 6.5 m there is an increased danger of

contact with the ground in case of a fall. Therefore, in this range,

distancesofmax.0.5mbetweenthebelaypointsarerecommended.

2.) Check before climbing

Make sure that there is enough rope for lead-in and, if necessary,

an emergency lowering (2x height of mast + horizontal course + 2m

safety rope length = rope length).

To check the function of the Lory belay device, lock the cam (CAM)

manually by pushing it (Fig. 1). It must now be possible to pull the

rope with little resistance in both directions (Fig. 2). Then pull the

rope with a jerk. The cam must unlock and the rope must block

(picture 3).

Attention!

If the described function is not guaranteed, the set must not be

used and must be sent in for inspection.

3.) Climbing with the set

Fixthelorytoasufcientlyload-bearingattachmentpointnearthe

ground using the SEP sling.

Note:

The lory must still be accessible from the ground when the SEP

sling is taut! (Fig. 2a und 2b)

The carabiner located on the webbing fall arrester is attached to the

front upper fall arrest eyelet (sternal fall arrest eyelet) of the harness

marked A and approved according to EN361.

Unlock the cam to climb (Fig. 1). The rope-guiding hand must

always be below the lory.

The belayer must always maintain eye contact with the lead climber

and ensure that the rope runs freely. Be careful not to stand in or on

the rope yourself. (Fig.3)

Do not skip any belay point. Hook the rope into each belay point

with a secure stance. If necessary, set further belay points using

the loop method. (Fig.4a+4b+4c belay points)

4.) DGUV I 212-001 „Working using rope-assisted access and

positioning procedures“:

The following distances of the securing points are recommended.

Notes:

- Up to the 3rd intermediate belay point there is an increased risk

of contact with the ground in the event of a fall. Therefore, the

distances between the belay points should be correspondingly

smaller. (see also note in chapter 1)

- Impact on the ground or structures should be excluded.

5.) Descending with the set

When descending, unhook the rope from each belay point and

remove any additional belay points (e.g. webbing loops). The

belayer (on the ground) must always have visual contact and pull

the rope quickly through the lanyard. (Fig.5)

Slack rope formation must be avoided at all costs!

6.) Lowering a fallen person

Sollte es zu einer Notsituation kommen, kann die gestürzte und

ggf. verletzte Person wie folgt von der sichernden Person

abgelassen werden:

Make sure that the Lory belay device has blocked and that the

person who has fallen is hanging safely. Only then can you let go of

the rope (if this has not already happened due to the fall).

Note:

The rope must move freely out of the rope bag during the lowering

of the fallen person and must not get jammed by any loops or

cranes. Make sure that you do not injure yourself through friction or

crushing.

The lowering process is initiated by pressing the orange lever on

the Lory belay device. You must hold the free end of the rope with

your hand. Start at low speed and adjust according to the conditions

(see instructions MAT-BA-0173 and Fig. 6 - Lever positions).

Attention!

During lowering, always keep an eye on the person who has fallen

and may be injured. Always maintain eye contact and try to avoid

contact with obstacles and hitting the structure.

If the person who has fallen has reached the ground and is injured,

giverstaidimmediately.

The set must then be discarded.

1.) Information – sorgfältig lesen

Die Anleitungen müssen immer in Landessprache vorhanden sein.

Sollte diese nicht vorliegen ist dies vor dem Weiterverkauf vom

Verkäufer mit SKYLOTEC abzuklären. Die Anleitung muss dem

Benutzer zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

Hiermit haben Sie ein Vorstiegs-Set inklusive Notablassfunktion

erworben. Lesen und beachten Sie unbedingt die spezischen

Anleitungen der Einzelkomponenten.

Vor Beginn der Arbeiten muss eine Gefährdungsbeurteilung und

ein Notfallplan erstellt und bekannt sein.

Lesen und verstehen Sie die Anleitungen aller Komponenten und

überprüfen Sie vor jedem Gebrauch das Set und Ihre gesamte

Ausrüstung. Nach einem Sturz ist das gesamte Set ablegereif und

sofort der weiteren Verwendung zu entziehen.

Das Entfernen des Metallkabelbinders am Lory selbst ist verboten!

(Abb.1) Sollte dieser nicht mehr vorhanden sein, ist das Set sofort

jeglicher Benutzung zu entziehen und an SYKLOTEC

einzuschicken.

Das SET ist nach dem, in der DGUV I 203-047 „Schutz gegen

Absturz beim Bau und Betrieb von Freileitungen“, annerkannten

Arbeits- und Zugangsverfahren erstellt worden.

Hierbei muss darauf hingewiesen werden, dass nur durch

SKYLOTEC geschulte Personen das Set benutzen dürfen.

Nur durch SKYLOTEC geschulte und ausgebildete Personen

dürfen einen Seilwechsel oder die jährliche Revision durchführen.

Spätestens nach 10 Jahren sollte das Seil inklusive Dämpfer

getauscht werden.

Einsatzkräfte mit der Ausbildung „Sicheres Arbeiten im

absturzgefährdeten Bereich“ (Gerätesatz Absturzsicherung DIN

14800-17), zertiziert durch eine Landesfeuerwehrschule oder

gleichwertig, sind ebenfalls zur Nutzung und Revisionieren des

Sets ermächtigt.

Die max Distanz zwischen zwei Sicherungspunkten darf max 1,6 m

betragen, ist aber stets so gering wie möglich zuhalten (bei Bedarf

zusätzlichen Sicherungspunkt setzen, z.B. mit einer Bandschlaufe,

siehe auch Tabelle 1).

Achtung!

Bis zu einer Steighöhe von 6,5 m besteht eine erhöhte Gefahr des

Bodenkontaktes im Falle eines Absturzes. Daher werden in diesem

BereichAbstände der Sicherungspunkte von max. 0,5 m empfohlen.

2.) Überprüfung vor dem Steigen

Stellen sie sicher, dass genügend Seil zum Vorstieg und ggf. einem

Notablass vorhanden ist (2x Höhe Mast + horizontaler Verlauf + 2m

Sicherheitsseillänge = Seillänge).
