Instructions for Use

Quick Start:
Charge the Silk’n Clear™ batteries for the first time by plugging
the Base Unit to electrical current and placing the Applicator in it
for up to 6 hours .
Treat daily for 3-4 minutes on each infected area. Later repeat the
treatment twice a week for mainenence.
Before treatment the skin should be, clean, dry and free of any
powder, gel or cream.
Remove Silk’n Clear Applicator from its cradle in the Base Unit.
Press the Power On/Off Switch.The green Ready/Treatment
Indicator Light (I) will start blinking, and shortly afterwards will be
lit steadily.
Your Clear is ready for treatment.
Place theTreatment Surface on your skin.The Led light will
automatically activate.
Keep holding the Clear Applicator against the skin area for 3-4
minutes.TheTreatment Surface temperature will slowly increase.
Move theTreatment Surface to the next location and hold against
the skin for another 3-4 minutes.
Perform the treatment for 3-4 minutes on each infected area.
Throughout the treatment course and maintenance period, it
is recommended to wash the infected areas daily, using Silk’n
Acne™ soap.

Before You Start
Before using Silk’n Clear for the first time, please read this manual
in its entirety. Pay particular attention to sections on device use
procedures, device operation, and after-use procedures.
What is Silk’n Clear?
Silk’n Clear is a hand held light emitting diode (LED) device for
Acne treatment.
Typical areas for Silk’n Clear treatment are the neck, the chin, the
cheeks, the forehead, and every other face or body site infected
with acne.
Silk’n Clear device description
Silk’n Clear device consists of a Base Unit, an Applicator and
an Adaptor.
Silk’n ClearApplicator is a hand held unit that contains aTreatment
Surface at the Applicator tip, On/Off Switch and Indicator Panel.
Silk’n Clear Base Unit is used to charge the Applicator batteries.

To protect your skin, a temperature sensor is embedded in the
treatment tip of the Silk’n Clear. This sensor ensures the skin’s
surface will not exceed 41°C / 106°F.
When to avoid using Silk’n Clear?
Certain conditions may temporarily prevent the use of Silk’n
Clear. DO NOT USE Silk’n Clear if any of the following conditions
apply to you:
If you have eczema, psoriasis, lesions, open wounds or active
infections, such as cold sores in the area to be treated.Wait for
the effected area to heal before using Silk’n Clear.
If you have abnormal skin conditions caused by diabetes or
other systemic or metabolic diseases.
If you are currently or have recently been treated with Alpha-
Hydroxi Acids (AHAs), Beta-Hydroxi Acids (BHAs), Retin-A
®
,
topical retinoids or azelaic acid.
If you have been treated with Accutane
®
(isotretinoin) within
the past 6 months.
If you have been on a steroid regimen within the past 3 months.
If you have a history of herpes outbreaks in the area of
treatment, unless you have consulted your physician and
received preventative before using Silk’n Clear.
Safety with Silk’n Clear
Reducing the risk of injury
• Keep Silk’n Clear out of the reach of children.
• Keep Silk’n Clear out of the reach of persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities.

Keep Silk’n Clear away from water!
Do not use or store Silk’n Clear in a wet environment
(e.g. near a shower or a bathtub)!
• Keep the device and its adaptor dry!
• Do not use Silk’n Clear if the Adaptor or the Applicator is damaged!
• If the Applicator is damaged, make sure it is replaced with an
original part from Home Skinovations!
• The Applicator contains a dedicated transformer. Never replace
the Applicator with another plug!
If you are unsure if Clear is safe for you to use, please consult with
your doctor or dermatologist.
Possible side effects using Silk’n Clear
When used according to the instructions, side effects and
complications associated with use of Silk’n Clear are rare.
However every cosmetic procedure, including those designed for
home use, involve some degree of risk.Therefore it is important
that you understand and accept the risks and complications that
can occur with energy based systems designed for home use.
Silk’n Clear treatments are generally very well-tolerated. Most
users sense the moderate heat applied by the device during use,
with no further discomfort.
• Minor Skin Discomfort
Your skin may become slightly irritated after using Silk’n Clear.
This is a typical and transient phenomenon. If the irritation does
not disappear within three days, please consult a physician or a
dermatologist.
• Skin Redness
Your skin may become slightly red right after using Clear.This
should disappear a few hours after treatment.

Protect your Silk’n Clear
• Store the device in a clean area free of dust.
• Do not cover the ventilation slots during use.
• Never shake or drop Silk’n Clear or subject it to severe shocks.
• Silk’n Clear is sensitive to environmental temperature during use.
Do not expose the Clear to environmental temperatures lower
than 15°C / 59°F or higher than 35°C / 95°F during use.
• Silk’n Clear can not tolerate extreme change of temperature.
When moved from a cold environment (under 10°C / 50°F) to
a warm environment, avoid use for approximately 3 hours.
• Do not expose Silk’n Clear to direct sunlight or UV light for
long periods of time.
• Silk’n Clear is designed for occasional home use (as opposed
to exhaustive commercial or professional use).Avoid such ex-
haustive use.
• Avoid covering Silk’n Clear and its adaptor during recharge.

Skin Treatment the Clear Way
The benefits of Silk’n Clear
Using Silk’n Clear according to instructions is expected to
result in the destruction of the bacteria causing acne, the
reduction in the appearance of new pimples and the quick
healing of existing pimples.
Best results can be expected 3-7 weeks after completing the
recommended course of treatment.
Silk’n Clear facial treatment areas
Typical areas for Silk’n Clear treatment are the cheeks, forehead,
chin, neck and back.
First Steps with Silk’n Clear
Silk’n Clear Setup
1. Remove Silk’n Clear Base Unit,Applicator,Adaptor and other
components from box.
2. Before using the Silk’n Clear for the first time, fully charge the
battery.This may take up to 6 hours.
Silk’n Clear Battery Charging
Insert the Applicator into its cradle in the Clear Base Unit.

Caution!
Never cover Silk’n Clear and its
adaptor while recharging!
Note!
Silk’n Clear can not be used
while recharging
Plug the Adaptor Plug into the Base Unit socket.
Plug the Adaptor into an electrical outlet. An orange Battery –
Charging - Indicator Light (K) will illuminate to indicate that
your Silk’n Clear is in the process of charging.
When Battery – Charging - Indicator Light (K) turns off and
Battery – Full - Indicator Light (L) illuminates, your Silk’n Clear is
fully charged and ready to start.
(Recharging will be needed when Ready Mode Indicator I
(Green) is blinking)
Plan your Silk’n Clear treatment for best results
The efficiency of the results varies from person to person and
according to the frequency of use. Some may see results sooner
than others.
A Silk’n Clear treatment course should include daily treatments
of all infected areas, over a period of 6-8 weeks
For maintenance use Silk’n Clear™ and Silk’n Acne™ soap, the
same way, once a week.
