SHARPContentDistributorisusedtobuildanelectronicsignagesystemusingSHARPLCDmonitors.
• Youcancopy(distribute)lesoverthenetworkfor“Autoplayback”toaUSBashdriveorSDmemorycardconnectedtothe
LCDmonitoronwhichthelesaretobeplayed.Youcanalsoeasilycopy(distribute)lesfor“Autoplayback”toaUSBash
drive or SD memory card connected to your computer.
Forinformationon“Auto playback”,seetheoperationmanualfortheLCDmonitor.
• Youcanaccomplishtheentiretask,fromstartuptodistribution,bymeansofsimplesteps.

Panel LCD monitor
Content(le) Avideoorimageletobedisplayedorplayedonapanel.Pleasepreparecontentlesyourself.
Content list Alistofcontentlesthatyouarrangeintheorderyouwantthelestoplay.
Content information and the playback order are saved.
LCD monitor
Tousethissoftware,themanagementcomputermustbeconnectedtothesamenetworkastheLCDmonitortowhichthe
content will be distributed.
ThefollowingLCDmonitorsettingsarerequired.Tocongurethesettings,changetheinputmodetoamodeotherthan“Media
Player”.
• Congure“LANSETUP”inSETUPmenu.
SetFTPto“ON”.TheTelnetUsernameandPasswordcanbechangedbycontrolcommand.
• Set“POWERSAVEMODE”to“OFF”inSETUPmenu.
• Set“NOSIGNALAUTOINPUTSELECT”to“ON”inSETUPmenu.
• SetthetypeofthelesaretobeplayedautomaticallyinAUTOPLAYoftheSETUPmenu.

System management cautions
nBefore use
Beforeusingthesystem,distributethecontentlisttothepanelandplaythecontenttoverifythatitdisplayscorrectly.The
contentmaynotplaycorrectlyifthepanelhasinsufcientprocessingpower.Corruptedlesandunsupportedleswillnotplay.
nContinuous operation of management computer
Whenusingthissoftwarecontinuouslyformorethan24hours,restartthemanagementcomputeronceaday.
nAutomatic start of software
Tohavethissoftwarestartautomatically,setinthesettingsscreen.
nManagement computer power settings
Evenwhenthissoftwareissettoscheduleddistributionmode,thescheduleddistributionwillnotbeexecutedifthemanagement
computerisinsleepmode.Adjustthepowersettingssothatthemanagementcomputerwillnotentersleepmode.
nUsing multiple management computers
Thissoftwareisnotintendedformanagementofasinglepanelbymultiplemanagementcomputers.Beforeregisteringapanel,
make sure that the panel has not been registered by another management computer.
nBackup
Thissoftwaredoesnothaveadatabackupfunction.Duringuse,backup(export)thecontentlistandpanellistregularly.
nExternal memories
Forexternalmemorydevices(USBashdrivesorSDmemorycards)thatcanbeusedwiththepanelandinformationon
connectingmemorydevicestothepanel,seetheoperationmanualforthepanel.
nImages
Whenimagesaresetasthecontent,displayingthesameimageforalongtimemaycauseresidualimageonthepanel.Change
the image at regular intervals.
nContent that can be played
Forthecontentthatcanbeplayed(supportedleformats)onapanel,seetheoperationmanualforthepanel.
nMoving content
Ifyoumovecontenttoadifferentstoragelocation,recreatethecontentlist.
nPanel operation during distribution
Duringdistribution,donotperformanyoperationsonanexternalmemorydevice(USBashdriveorSDmemorycard)thatis
connected to the panel.
nOther software applications
Whenusingthissoftware,donotuseanotherTelnetorFTPclientapplicationatthesametime.

Flow of operation
Distributing over a network
Distribute(copy)contentlesviayournetworktoaUSBashdriveorSDmemorycardconnectedtothepanel.
Panel (LCD monitor) settings
• ConnecttheUSBashdriveorSDmemorycard.
• Conguretherequiredsettings.(Seepage3.)
Connecting to the network
• Connect the management computer to the same network as the panel.
Launchingthesoftwareandconguringsettings
1. Register the panel
• Registerthepaneltowhichcontentwillbedistributed.(Seepage9.)
2. Create a content list
• DraganddropcontentlesfromExplorerorothertooltothesoftwaretocreateacontentlist.(Seepage12.)
3. Distribution
• Distributethecontentlisttothepanelviathenetwork.(Seepage14.)
You can use scheduled distribution. (See page 17.)
4. Play
• Thecontentautomaticallyplaysonthepanel.
Copying to external memory connected to the management computer
Youcaneasilycopy(distribute)lesfor“Autoplayback”toexternalmemory.
Connecting external memory
• Connectanexternalmemorydevice(USBashdriveorSDmemorycard)tothemanagementcomputer.

1. Create a content list
• DraganddropcontentlesfromExplorerorothertooltothesoftwaretocreateacontentlist.(Seepage12.)
2. Distribute (copy)
• Copythecontentlisttoexternalmemory.(Seepage15.)
3. Play
• Connectexternalmemorytothepanelandplayautomatically.

Install
Thesetupprogramisrequiredinordertoinstallthesoftware.
ReadythesetupprogramdownloadedfromthewebsiteorontheCD-ROM.
Caution
• Youmusthaveadministratorprivilegestoperformthisprocedure.
1. Exit all running software applications.
2. Double-click the setup program.
• Ifasecuritywarningscreen(“Thepublishercouldnotbeveried.”)appears,click“Allow”.
• Ifthe“UserAccountControl”dialogboxappears,click“Continue”.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
TIPS
• “.NETFrameworkVersion4.5.1”orhighermustbeinstalledonthecomputeronwhichthissoftwarewillbeinstalled.Ifa
messageappearspromptingyoutoinstall“.NETFramework”becauseitisnotinstalledoranolderversionisinstalled,follow
the instructions on the screen to install.

Launching the software
1. On the desktop, double-click the “Content Distributor” shortcut icon ( ).
Youcanalsoclick“AllPrograms”-“SHARPContentDistributor”-“ContentDistributor”fromthe“Start”buttontostartthe
software.
TIPS
• Ifamessagesimilarto“WindowsFirewallhasblockedsomefeaturesofthisprogram”appearsthersttimeyoulaunchthe
program,selectallcheckboxesandthenselect“Allowaccess”.

Adding or editing a panel
nAdding a panel
1. Click .
Theaddnewpanelscreenappears.
2. Enter the information of the panel to be added.
Panelname* Setanamethatenableseasyidenticationofthepanel.
IP Address Set the IP address of the panel. You can check the IP address of the panel in the
“INFORMATION”screen.
Location* You can set the location where the panel is installed and comments.
* Amaximumof32characterscanbesetforthepanelnameandlocation.Alphanumericcharacters,spaces,andsymbols
canbeused.Thefollowingsymbolscanbeusedinthepanelnameandlocation.

• Click“Advancedsettings”toset“FTP(Username,Password)”,“Telnet(Username,Password)”.

3. Click “OK”.
TIPS
•
A maximum of 20 panels can be registered.
nEditing a panel
1. Select the panel you want to edit.
2. Click .
Theeditpanelscreenappears.
3. Change the items you want to edit.
4. Click “OK”.
Managing panels
nCheck the connection status
1. Select the panel you want to check.
2. Click .
Checkthenetworkconnectionstatusoftheregisteredpanel.Theresultofcheckconnectionappearsintheresultof
connection status area.
OK Thepanelisconnectednormally.
ERROR Theconnectionwasnotconrmedduetoaproblem.

nChecking a distribution log by panel
1. Select the panel to be checked.
2. Click .
Checkthedistributionlogoftheregisteredpanel.Thedistributionlogbypanelconsistsofthefollowinginformation.

Deleting the Panels
1. Select the panel or panels to be deleted.
2. Click .
3. Click “OK”.
Exporting a panel list
You can save the current panel list. All panels will be saved.
1. Click .
2. Specifythenameandsavelocationofthepanellistle,andclick“Save”.
Thepanellistle(.pnl)issaved.
Importing a panel list
Youcanrestoreapanellisttothestateitwasinbeforeitwasexported.Ifascheduleddistributionisset,reselectthepanelin
the scheduled distribution.
TIPS
•
Whenyouimportapanellist,thecurrentlyregisteredpanelsaredeleted.
1. Click .
2. Read the cautions and click “OK”.
3. Selectthepanellistle(.pnl)tobeimportedandclick“Open”.
Thepanellistisimported.
