General Information
Intended purpose:
The Rack Mount Kit Type 1 (RMK1)
contains a mounting frame.
The mounting frame is used for
mounting an ISD300 or myUTN-80 in
19" racks.
There are a variety of racks on the
market, which may mean the
installation procedure will differ
slightly. Also refer to the installation
instructions that came with the rack
you are using.
Prior to Assembly:
• Read and observe this Installation
Guide and the listed safety regu-
lations.
• Read and observe the safety regu-
lations in the Quick Installation
Guide. You will find the Quick
Installation Guide in the product
delivery carton.
• Read and observe the safety regu-
lations of the rack.
• Check the size of your rack and
compare the data with that of the
RMK1.

Information
Verwendungszweck:
Das Rack Mount Kit Type 1 (RMK1)
beinhaltet einen Einbaurahmen.
Der Einbaurahmen wird für die
Montage von einem ISD300 oder
myUTN-80 in 19-Zoll-Serverschränke
verwendet.
Auf dem Markt existieren mehrere
Serverschrank-Varianten, die sich im
Aufbau leicht unterscheiden. Lesen
Sie auch die Dokumentation zu Ihrem
Serverschrank.
Vor dem Einbau:
• Lesen und beachten Sie diese Ein-
bauanleitung sowie die aufge-
führten Sicherheitsvorschriften.
• Lesen und beachten Sie die
Sicherheitsvorschriften im Quick
Installation Guide. Sie finden den
Quick Installation Guide im Liefe-
rumfang Ihres Produktes.
• Lesen und beachten Sie die
Sicherheitsvorschriften zu Ihrem
Serverschrank.
• Überprüfen Sie die Maße Ihres
Serverschranks und vergleichen
Sie die Daten mit denen des
RMK1.

• Slotted screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver
• Fasteners for mounting the frame
in the rack (not included in deliv-
ery)

Safety Regulations
Note the following safety regulations.
• The RMK1 may be used for
ISD300 or myUTN-80 only.
• The RMK1 must not be used for
any other purpose than that for
which it has been designed.
• The RMK1 may be mounted only
in the way described in this
Installation Guide.
• The installation must only be car-
ried out by qualified personnel.
• There is a risk of crushing and
injury during installation and use.
Be careful with your fingers and
other body parts.
• Always make sure the rack is sta-
ble.
• Always make sure that there is
sufficient ventilation for the
device in the rack and, if possible,
leave a gap between adjacent 19"
units. The permissible operating
temperature range for your
ISD300 or myUTN-80 can be
found in the Quick Installation
Guide.
Sicherheitsvorschriften
Beachten Sie folgende Sicherheits-
vorschriften.
• Das RMK1 darf nur für das ISD300
oder den myUTN-80 verwendet
werden.
• Das RMK1 darf nur für den
beschriebenen Verwendungs-
zweck verwendet werden.
• Die Montage des Einbaurahmens
darf nur auf die in dieser Einbau-
anleitung beschriebene Weise
erfolgen.
• Der Einbau darf nur von qualifi-
ziertem Fachpersonal durchge-
führt werden.
• Bei Einbau und Verwendung
besteht Quetsch- und Verlet-
zungsgefahr. Achten Sie auf Ihre
Finger und andere Körperteile.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass der Ser-
verschrank einen sicheren Stand
hat.
• Sorgen Sie für eine ausreichende
Belüftung des Geräts im Server-
schrank und lassen Sie nach Mög-
lichkeit Abstand zu weiteren 19-
Zoll-Einschüben. Den zulässigen
Temperaturbereich für Ihr ISD300
bzw. myUTN-80 entnehmen Sie
dem Quick Installation Guide.

Preparation
If you want to install your ISD300 or
myUTN-80 into a rack at a later point
in time, you have to prepare your
device.
Proceed as follows:
1. Shutdown the device.
(only ISD300)
2. Switch off the device via the
power switch.
(only ISD300)
3. Remove the power cord from the
device.
(Interrupt the power supply)
4. Remove the network cable
(RJ-45) from the device.
Installation
Follow the steps of the product-
specific procedure for the installation
process.

• myUTN-80 10
Vorbereitung
Falls Sie Ihr ISD300 oder Ihren
myUTN-80 nachträglich in einen
Serverschrank einbauen möchten,
müssen Sie das Gerät vorbereiten.
Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
1. Fahren Sie das Gerät herunter.
(nur ISD300)
2. Schalten Sie das Gerät über den
Netzschalter aus.
(nur ISD300)
3. Entfernen Sie das
Stromversorgungskabel
(Netzkabel) vom Gerät.
(Stromzufuhr unterbrechen)
4. Entfernen Sie das Netzwerkkabel
(RJ-45) vom Gerät.
Einbau
Zum Einbau folgen Sie den Schritten
des produktspezifischen Ablaufes:
• ISD300 5
• myUTN-80 10

ISD300 – Step 1
Remove all the rubber feet (P1) from
the ISD300.
Proceed as follows:
1. Place the ISD300 carefully upside
down on a solid surface.
2. Remove the pin from the rubber
foot using a small slotted screw-
driver.
The rubber foot detaches
automatically.
3. Repeat step 2 for the other
rubber feet.
Please keep pins and rubber feet in a
safe place. You might need them in
the future.
ISD300 – Schritt 1
Entfernen Sie alle Füße (P1) des
ISD300s.
Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
1. Plazieren Sie das ISD300 kopfüber
auf eine feste Auflage.
2. Hebeln Sie mit einem kleinen
Schlitzschraubenzieher den Stift
aus dem Fuß heraus.
Der Fuß löst sich automatisch.
3. Wiederholen Sie Schritt 2 mit
allen anderen Füßen.
Bewahren Sie Stifte und Füße für
einen eventuellen zukünftigen Einsatz
gut auf.

ISD300 – Step 2
Once assembled, the ISD300 type
plate (P2) is covered by the mounting
frame.
Transfer all relevant ISD300 data to
the RMK1 type plate (P3), so that this
information will be visible after
assembly.
ISD300 – Step 3
Remove the two screws indicated (P4)
with a Phillips screw driver.
Do not remove any other screws!

Beim Zusammenfügen wird das
ISD300-Typenschild (P2) durch den
Einbaurahmen verdeckt.
Übertragen Sie alle relevanten
ISD300-Daten auf das RMK1-
Typenschild (P3), um die Daten
jederzeit einsehen zu können.
ISD300 – Schritt 3
Entfernen Sie die zwei gekenn-
zeichneten Schrauben (P4) mit einem
Kreuzschlitzschraubenzieher.
Lösen Sie keine anderen
Schrauben!

Position the frame (P5) on the ISD300.
The two screw heads remaining in the
ISD300 serve as guidance when
aligning the frame to the ISD300. The
screw heads will fit the pre-drilled
holes (P6) in the frame.
ISD300 – Schritt 4
Legen Sie den Einbaurahmen (P5) auf
das ISD300.
Die zwei in dem ISD300 verbliebenen
Schraubenköpfe dienen als Führung.
Die Schraubenköpfe passen exakt in
die Bohrungen (P6) des Einbau-
rahmens.

Insert and tighten 2 of the provided
screws (M3 × 5mm) in position (P7).
Do not use the screws removed in
step 2!

Befestigen Sie 2 der mitgelieferten
Schrauben (M3 × 5 mm) an Position
(P7).
Nutzen Sie nicht die in Schritt 2
entfernten Schrauben!

Please note: One of the screws
(M3 × 5 mm) included in delivery and
the cable fixture are not used for the
ISD300.
Bitte beachten Sie: eine mitgelieferte
Schraube (M3 × 5 mm) und die Kabel-
befestigung werden für das ISD300
nicht benötigt.
