311 Electronic Office Scale
User Instructions
Operation
1. Place the supplied batteries in the battery compartment on the bottom of
the scale. Be sure to observe battery polarity marked inside the
compartment. Replace the compartment cover.
2. Place the scale on a flat, stable surface.
3. Press the ON/TARE button.
When 0appears, the scale is ready for weighing. See Changing Unit
of Measure below.
4. Turn the scale off by pressing the OFF button.
To perform a Tare
1. Place a container on the platform for taring and press the ON/TARE
button.
The display will return to zero, eliminating the weight of the container.
2. Put the material or object to be weighed in the container.
The net weight will be displayed.
3. Remove everything from the scale.
The display will show a negative weight.
4. Press ON/TARE again to remove the tare weight.
Scale weight returns to 0.
Auto Off
Tosavebatterypower,thescaleturnsoffautomaticallyapproximatelyoneand
a half minutes after the last key press or weight change.
Changing Unit of Measure
Press the UNITS button to change the unit of measure from g to kg to lb/oz.
General Information
Do not put excess weight or drop items on the scale. This could damage the
weighing mechanism and/or affect the accuracy of the scale.
Do not use or store the scale in a high temperature, high humidity or high
vibration area.
The batteries should be replaced when the low voltage symbol displays. The
display shows LLLLL when the battery voltage is too low to run the scale.
Remove the batteries from the scale when it will not be used for an extended
period of time.
The scale does NOT come with an AC adaptor.
Use a mild soap solution with a cloth to clean the scale, by spraying the cloth
and wiping the scale. Do not use any harsh chemical cleaner. Do not wash
down or immerse the scale in any way as this would cause permanent
damage.
WARNING: Do not let liquid get inside the scale as this could cause a
short circuit.

Notice d’utilisation
Fonctionnement
1. Placer les piles fournies dans le compartiment des piles au bas de la
balance. S’assurer que la polarité des piles correspond aux marques à
l’intérieur du compartiment. Remettre le couvercle du compartiment.
2. Placer la balance sur une surface plate et stable.
3. Appuyer sur la touche ON/TARE (MARCHE/TARE).
Lorsque 0s’affiche, la balance est prête pour la pesée. Voir
Changement d’unité de mesure ci-dessous.
4. Appuyer sur la touche OFF pour éteindre l’unité.
Exécution de la tare
1. Placer un récipient sur la plate-forme et appuyer sur la touche ON/TARE
(MARCHE/TARE).
L’affichage retourne au zéro, éliminant le poids du récipient.
2. Placer l’objet ou le matériel à peser dans le récipient.
Le poids net est affiché.
3. Enlever tout ce qui se trouve sur la balance.
L’afficheur affiche un poids négatif.
4. Appuyer à nouveau sur ON/TARE (MARCHE/TARE) pour supprimer la tare.
Le poids de la balance revient à 0.
Mise à l’arrêt automatique
Pour conserver l’énergie de la pile, la balance se met automatiquement à
l’arrêt pendant approximativement trentesecondes après la dernière pression
ou après un changement de poids.
Changement d’unité de mesure
Appuyer sur la touche UNITS (UNITÉS) pour modifier l’unité de mesure de g
à kg à lb/oz.
Informations générales
Ne pas placer de poids excessif ni faire tomber d’objets sur la balance. Ceci
pourrait endommager le mécanisme de pesée et/ou affecter l’exactitude de la
balance.
Ne pas utiliser ni entreposer la balance sous haute température, haute
humidité ou en présence de hautes vibrations.
Les piles doivent être remplacées dès que le symbole basse tension s’affiche.
Les lettres LLLLL s’affichent lorsque la tension de la pile est trop faible pour
faire marcher la balance.
Retirer les piles de la balance quand elles ne sont pas utilisées pendant une
période prolongée.
La balance n’est PAS livrée avec un adaptateur secteur.
Nettoyer la balance à l’aide d’un chiffon et d’une solution savonneuse douce,
en imbibant le chiffon et en essuyant la balance. Ne pas utiliser de nettoyant
chimique abrasif. Ne pas laver ni immerger la balance, ceci pourrait entraîner
des dommages permanents.
AVERTISSEMENT : Ne pas laisser de liquide s’infiltrer dans la balance au
risque de provoque un court-circuit.

Instrucciones del usuario
Funcionamiento
1. Coloque las pilas suministradas en su compartimento que se encuentra
en la parte inferior de la báscula. Asegúrese de acatar la polaridad de las
pilas indicada dentro del compartimiento. Vuelva a colocar la cubierta del
compartimento.
2. Coloque la báscula en una superficie plana y estable.
3. Pulse el botón ON/TARE (ENCENDIDO/TARA).
Cuando aparezca 0, la báscula está lista para pesar. Consulte más
abajo Cambio de unidad de medida.
4. Apague la báscula oprimiendo el botón OFF (APAGADO).
Para llevar a cabo una Tara
1. Coloque en la plataforma un recipiente para llevar a cabo la tara y oprima
el botón ON/TARE (ENCENDIDO/TARA).
La pantalla regresa a cero, eliminando el peso del recipiente.
2. Coloque el material u objeto a ser pesado en el recipiente.
Aparecerá el peso neto.
3. Quite todo de la báscula.
La pantalla mostrará un peso negativo.
4. Presione otra vez ON/TARE (ENCENDIDO/TARA) para quitar el peso de
la tara.
El peso mostrado por la báscula regresa a 0.
Apagado automático
Para ahorrar energía en las pilas, la báscula se apaga automáticamente
aproximadamente un minuto y medio después de oprimir la última tecla o de
cambiar de peso.
Cambio de unidad de medida
Presione el botón UNITS (UNIDADES) para cambiar la unidad de medida de
gramo a kg a lb/oz.
Información general
No coloque pesos excesivos en la báscula o deje caer artículos sobre ella.
Esto puede dañar el mecanismo de pesado y/o afectar la precisión de la
báscula.
No utilice ni almacene la báscula en zonas en que la temperatura, humedad o
vibración sean altas.
Las pilas deben ser reemplazadas cuando aparece el símbolo de voltaje bajo.
La pantalla muestra LLLLL cuando el voltaje de las pilas es demasiado bajo
para hacer funcionar la báscula.
Quite las pilas de la báscula cuando no vaya a ser utilizada por un largo
período de tiempo.
La báscula NO se suministra con un adaptador de CA.
Para limpiar la báscula, utilice una solución de detergente suave y un paño;
rocíeel pañoparaluego limpiar la báscula. Noutilice ningún limpiador químico
agresivo. No lave o sumerja la báscula de ninguna manera, ya que le puede
causar daño permanente.
ADVERTENCIA: No permita que entre líquido en la báscula ya que puede
causar un corto circuito.
