These instructions should be read carefully and left with the user of the product for future reference.

BEFORE USE

You must inspect the appliance including its cable and plug for any signs of damage. If the product is

damaged, DO NOT use it, and contact your supplier immediately.

PRODUCT SAFETY

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the

appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Do not cover. This symbol shown on the casing of the radiator means that the radiator should not be covered.

For indoor use only.

• Do not use in bathrooms, wet rooms or other damp locations.

• Do not use this product with an extension lead

• Not intended for use in Boats, Caravans or other similar locations.

• Please allow for a 50 cm safe area around the top and sides.

• Do not place the mains lead beneath a carpet or rug.

• Please ensure the radiator is not positioned below a socket outlet.

• Do not use the radiator in locations where paint, petrol or other ammable liquids are used or stored.

• Pleaseensuretheradiatorisswitchedoandunplug when not in use, also keep unpluggedbeforeassemblyordisassembling

parts.

• Do not use the radiator for other than its intended use.

• Do no insert any object into the radiator through the grilles. This may damage the radiator or result in overheating or

electric shock.

• Check the product regularly including the mains lead for damage. If any damage is detected stop using it immediately and

consult your supplier.

• Only use this product on a at, stable surface.

• Do not leave this product unattended when in use.

• There are no user serviceable parts in this product

• Allow to cool down before moving

• This heater is lled with a precise quantity of special oil. Repairs requiring opening of the oil container are only to be made

by the manufacturer or his service agent who should be contacted if there is an oil leak;

• When scrapping the heater, follow the regulations concerning the disposal of oil.

INSTALLATION OF FEET (FRONT)

Before attempting to t the feet turn the appliance upside down and place on a at rm surface. Holding

the product securely attach the front castor bar (the front castor bar has 5 holes) to the unit making

sure that the locator pin aligns with the locator hole (see g. 1). Make sure that the screw hole aligns

with the threaded bolt (see g. 2) and secure tightly using wing nut (see g. 3).

PAT TESTING

When used in a workplace, this product should be safety-tested yearly by a qualied electrician (PAT

Tested). We recommend that it is PAT tested regularly when used in a domestic environment.

GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Domestic wiring must be tested periodically by a qualied electrician at least once every 10 years or at

every change of occupancy.

For oce and retail premises, and buildings such as village halls, the wiring must be inspected at least

once every 5 years.

It is recommended that all buildings be tted with smoke alarms (it is mandatory for new buildings).

OPERATING COSTS

At time of going to press, the average cost of electricity is £0.145 per unit (kilowatt-hour). The amount

you are being charged will be shown on your electricity bill.

At this cost, the EH1840 will cost £0.15 per hour to run with the thermostat set to its maximum.

If the thermostat is used to regulate the temperature the operating costs will be lower, depending on

the room temperature.

OPERATION

Plug the mains lead into a 13Amp socket and switch the product on at the mains. Using the two power

switches on the side of the product select the required operation.

1. Both switches o = O

2. Left switch on right switch o = Low heat (300W)

3. Left switch o right switch on = Medium heat (700W)

4. Both switches on= High Heat (1kW)

This product is also tted with an adjustable thermostat. After selecting the required heat setting turn

the thermostat clockwise until it reaches its furthest point. Allow the room to heat up to the required

temperature and then rotate the thermostat anti-clockwise until you hear the radiator click o. Leaving

the thermostat in this position will maintain the temperature at this level.

The unit can work as a frost protection radiator, to do so turn the thermostat fully anti-clockwise to the

minimum setting. In this position the radiator will only switch on at low temperatures.

Please note that in very large room or draughty rooms the product might be insucient to reach the

required temperature.

INSTALLATION OF FEET (REAR)

Holding the product securely loop the U bolt around the spacer between the last 2 ns (see g. 4).

Attach the rear castor bar (the rear castor bar has 2 holes) to the U bolt making sure that the locator

pin aligns with the locator hole (see g. 5) and the 2 threaded bolts pass through the 2 screw holes,

securing tightly with 2 wing nuts (see g. 6). Make sure the feet are secure before turning over.

DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING

You must not dispose of this appliance with domestic household waste.

Most local authorities have specic collection system for appliances and disposal is free of charge to the

end-user.

When replacing an existing appliance with a similar new appliance your retailer may take the old

appliance for disposal.

SERVICE WARRANTY

Prem-i-Air guarantees the product free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two

years.

Should this unit be operated under conditions other than those recommended, at voltages other than

the voltage indicated on the unit, or any attempts made to service or modify the unit, then the warranty

will be rendered void.

The product you buy may sometimes dier slightly from illustrations. This warranty is in addition to, and

does not aect, your statutory rights.

MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning, turn the radiator o, and disconnect from the mains supply. The radiator may then be

cleaned using a damp cloth with a drop of washing-up liquid to remove any dust or dirt from the case.

Do no use stronger detergents or solvents as these may damage the plastic.

Using a dry 1” (25 mm) paint-brush, remove any dust from the grilles.

If the mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service centre.

If the mains plug needs to be replaced, proceed as follows:

• Connect the brown wire to the terminal labelled “L”.

• Connect the blue wire to the terminal labelled“N”.

• Make sure that the cord-grip is positioned correctly (over the outer

sheath of the cable) and it fully tightened.
