1. Prepare area by removing stones, loose pieces of wood and other objects from the
cutting area.
2. Power up the tool by pressing the switch and hold. Release switch for turning the tool off,
allowing the blade to completely come to a stop, before switching to ON position again. Do
not switch the trimmer on and off unnecessarily.
3. Move the trimmer left and right, keeping it well away from the body.
4. Remove the wheels to cut taller grass, and cut in stages.
TRIMMING EDGES
1. Guide the trimmer along the edge of the lawn. Do not allow the cutting blade to contact paved
surfaces, stones or garden walls, since this will wear the blade rapidly.
2. The cutting head should be inclined slightly forward while trimming.
CUTTING AROUND TREES AND BUSHES
Carefully cut around trees and bushes so that they do not come into contact with the
cutting blade.
CHARGING ADVICE
After continuous or several repetitive charging cycles without interruption,
the charger can heat up. This is not harmful and does not indicate a technical
defect of the unit. A battery that is new or has not been used for a longer
period does not develop its full capacity until after approximately five charging/
discharging cycles. A significantly reduced working period after recommended
charging procedures, may indicate the battery needs replacing.
1. Connect the charger directly to the power receptacle.
2. Red LED is on: Battery is being charged.
3. Green LED is on: Charge process completed.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING THE BATTERY
In order to maintain the long service life of the battery, always follow
these instructions:
1. The lawn trimmer will be automatically switched off when the battery voltage is low. The
battery must then be recharged before the trimmer can be used again.
2. Always recharge the lithium-ion battery prior to any prolonged
period of nonuse.
CHANGING THE BLADE
1. Remove battery
2. Push in the direction of the arrow until it
snaps off the pivot.
3. Clean the pivot of any residual debris with a
sharp knife.
4. Refit the new blade by placing the eyelet over
the pivot and pull outwards until it
snaps into place.
