Connecting the Printer to the 10 inch Tablet
Connect the USB hub to the adhesive pad on the
backside of the tablet holder.
Fix the tablet to the adhesive pad on the top of the
tablet stand and connect the hub to the tablet.
Connect the USB cable to the USB hub and connect
the other end of the cable to the USB port on the
back of printer.
Plug the tablet power supply into the tablet and
connect to the mains supply. Turn on the mains
supply to start charging the tablet battery.
Plug the printer power supply into the back of the
printer and plug the mains cable in to the mains
supply.
You can now switch on the tablet using the Power
button on the top left side.
Then, switch on the printer using the ON/OFF
button located on the back of the machine.

Connecting the Printer to the 12 inch Tablet
Connect the USB cable to the USB port. Connect
the other end of the cable to the USB port on the
back of the printer.
Plug the tablet power supply into the tablet and
connect it to the mains supply. The tablet will start
automatically.
Please take note that the 12 inch tablet does not
have a battery. If the tablet does not start, please
make sure all the cables are properly connected.
Plug the printer power supply into the back of the
printer and plug the mains cable in to the mains
supply.
Turn on the printer using the ON/OFF button
located on the back of the machine.

1. Setting up Satin and Ink
1.a. Setting up the Satin
Select the Satin ribbon, Spindle and Guides.
Unwrap the Satin ribbon and fit onto the spindle.
Place a Guide on either sides of the Satin ribbon to
stop it from slipping off the spindle when using the
printer.
Open the lid of the Printer and fit the Spindle into
the slots towards the back of the Printer as shown
in the photo.
Make sure the Satin ribbon feeds / unwinds from
the top towards the front of the Printer and is
secured in the middle of the Spindle with the two
Guides.
Using the green button, marked “PUSH”, release
the printing mechanism. Open it and ensure it at
maximum elevation.
Once the printing mechanism has been raised,
locate the green ribbon guides. Push down the
small black button in order to move the green
ribbon guides apart.
Make sure the smaller triangle on the sensor and
triangle on the printer are aligned (as they could
move inside the printer).
Slide the Satin ribbon under the printing
mechanism and use the same black button to close
the guides to secure the ribbon. Ensure the Satin
ribbon is not caught or wrinkled between the
guides.
For smaller widths use our Satin Supports.
Feed the Satin ribbon between the black plastic
casing and the metal cutter plate. The Satin ribbon
must come out at the front of the printer.

1.b. Installing the Ink
After placing the Satin ribbon in the Printer, you can install the Ink.
Locate the thermal Ink and the Ink Spindles.
Unpack the Ink, only remove the shrink film, leave
the red tape.
Fit the Spindles into the cardboard core and the Ink
core as pictured in the left photo.
Spindle A holds the empty cardboard core, spindle
B the thermal Ink.
Place Spindle A with the empty cardboard core in
the highest position by entering the left side of the
spindle first. Complete the installation of Spindle A
by entering the right side of the Spindle in the
suitable opening.
Flip the Spindles over each other. The Spindle with
the Ink (Spindle B) should be on top. Do not take
the Spindle out of it’s position.
Open the printing mechanism by pushing the
green button “PUSH” located on the right side of
the printing mechanism. Ensure it is at maximum
elevation.
Cut the red tape.

Pull Spindle B gently over the printhead and place
Spindle B in the lower position. Enter the left side
first and the right side second.
The matt side of the Ink should be facing outside.
Make sure the Ink is in the middle, exactly above
the already inserted Satin ribbon.
Make sure the Ink is inserted as shown in the photo
on the left. This an important step which involves
the winding system of the printer.
If the satin is inserted the wrong way, please
reassemble and assemble the right way.
Close the printer by pressing the black buttons with
"PUSH" on each side. You must hear a "click". Use
both hands to push at the same time in order to
make sure it is fully closed.
This is very important!
The Ink is installed and the printer is ready for use.

2. Configuration
2.a. Set Language
To change the language, click on the flag in the top
right corner on the homepage. Choose in the drop-
down menu the desired language.
To change the system language into another
language, go to the Settings in Android.
1. Click on the numbers 1 - 2 - 3, located in the
top right corner of the tablet.
2. A password is required. Type the letter “e” three
times (eee) and confirm.
You are now in the extended menu.
3. Click the button "INFO" shown by a ribbon icon.
4. Press the “Close app”.
5. A password is required. Type the letter “e” three
times (eee) and confirm.
You are now in the Settings in Android.
6. Scroll down to “PERSONAL” and choose
“Language & input”.
7. Choose the desired language.
8. Press the “Home” button located in the bar on
the bottom of the screen to go back to the PIY
application.
