Using access plate (B) as a template, drill six 5/32" (4 mm) dia. holes to a minimum depth of 2.5" (64 mm). Attach

access plate (B) to centers of wood studs using six #14 x 2.5" wood screws (H) shown.

Installation to Wood Stud Wall

• Installermust verify thatthe supporting surfacewill safely supportthe combined loadof the equipmentand all attached

hardwareandcomponents.

• Tightenwood screws sothat wall plateis firmly attached, butdo not overtighten.Overtightening can damagethe

screws,greatlyreducing their holding power.

• Never tighten in excess of 80 in. • lb (9 N.M.).

• Make sure that mounting screws are anchored into the center of the stud. The use of an "edge to edge" stud finder is

highlyrecommended.

• Hardwareprovided is forattachmentof mount throughstandard thickness drywall orplaster into woodstuds.Installers

areresponsibleto provide hardware forothertypes of mounting situations.

Position access plate (B) at desired position on wall.Use

access plate (B), making sure that it is level, as a tem-

plate to mark holes. Drill six 1/4" (6 mm) dia. holes to a

minimumdepth of 2-1/2"(64 mm). Concretemust be 2000

psi density minimum. Insert anchors (G) in holes flush

with wall as shown in figure 2.3. Place access plate (B)

over anchors and secure with six #14 x 2-1/2" (6 mm x 65

mm) wood screws (H) as shown in figure 2.4. Make sure

wall plate is level and tighten all fasteners.

Tighten all fasteners.

• Tighten wood screws firmly, but do notovertighten.

Overtighteningcandamage the screws, greatly

reducingtheirholdingpower.

• Never tighten in excess of 80 in • lb (9 N.M.).

WARNING

• When installing Peerless wall mounts on cinder block, verify that you have a minimum of 1-3/8" of actual concrete

thickness in the hole to be used for the concrete anchors. Do not drill into mortar joints! Be sure to mount in a solid

part of the block, generally 1" minimum from the side of the block. Cinder block must meetASTM C-90 specifications.

It is suggested that a standard electric drill on slow setting is used to drill the hole instead of a hammer drill to avoid

breakingout the backof the holewhen entering avoid or cavity.

• Concrete must be 2000 psi density minimum. Lighter density concrete may not hold concrete anchor.

• Makesure thatthe supporting surface will safelysupport thecombined load of the equipmentand allattached hard-

wareandcomponents.
