1.0 UNPACKING AND
INSTALLATION
BEFORE UNPACKING, REFER TO SAFETY NOTES PREVIOUS PAGE
1.1 UNPACKING
•The instrument should be unpacked and inspected immediately upon receipt:
•Check the instrument visually for damage, particularly if the packaging is
damaged.
•Verify the voltage and frequency marked on the instrument matches the
local power supply.
•Report any damage, shortfall or problems with the instrument to ORBIS BV
immediately.
•Retain all packaging for future use in shipping or long-term storage of the
instrument.
Area conditions
The instrument should be installed in an area that meets the following
conditions:
•A stable room temperature of around 18-25 °C.
•The instrument should be placed on a stable bench capable of supporting

1.2 ASSEMBLY COLDBLOCK
IMPORTANT:
Before switching on ColdBlock, remove the 4 black clamps from the bottom
of the unit. (During transport these clamps fix the inside cooling engine to the
unit’s body. When in operation, the cooling engine should be free from the
unit’s body to prevent vibration).
How to remove the clamps:
•carefully tilt ColdBlock a little bit sideways.
•remove the bolt that holds the clamp (wrench size 8). Remove the clamp.
(image 1 & 2)

the instrument side of the cable to the mains connector.
2. When working with one AirSTAR unit and one Zebra printer or PC/Server,
connect both “clients” directly with network cable (image 4).
3. When working with multiple AirSTAR units, and/or connection with Zebra
printer or PC/Server is required, connect all “clients” in a local network using
a network hub (image 5).
4. Power up ColdBlock with the switch on the rear side of the unit
5. Switch on the iPad and unlock it (no passcode required from factory)
