N3G005W – Quick Install Guide

Connecting your device

1. With the supplied Ethernet cable, connect your

computer to the LAN port of the N3G005W.

2. Connect a compatible 3G USB modem to the

socket labelled USB on the back of the N3G005W.

3. Connect the supplied Power Adapter to the wall

power outlet and to the socket labelled Power on

the N3G005W.

4. Wait for 2 minutes to allow the N3G005W to

power up.

5. On your computer, open a web-browser (such as

Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari) and type in

192.168.123.254 into the address bar.

6. Press enter to launch the web-based conﬁguration

screen. Enter the default password admin in to

the system password ﬁeld, and press Login.

7. Select Wizard and click Enter to start conﬁguring

the N3G005W.

8. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the wizard

and click apply settings.

9. Wait 2 minutes to allow the N3G005W to apply

the settings, and then re-login to the device

following the steps above, in order to check the

internet link status.

Establishing a Wireless Connection:

You can connect multiple wireless devices, including

laptops, desktops and PDA’s to your N3G005W by

following the 2 basic steps.

1. Using your wireless device, scan the wireless

networks in your area and select the network

called NetComm n3g series, then click connect.

2. Enter the following default security key:

a1b2c3d4e5

Note To ensure wireless security, we recommend you change

the default settings through the Conﬁguration Interface. For

more detail, please consult the User Guide.
