この度は、本製品をお買い上げいただきまして誠にありがとうございます。

本製品を取り扱う前に本書の内容をよく読み、指示に従ってください。また、本製品を取り付ける前に、

取り付ける本体に添付の「ユーザーズガイド」に記載されている注意事項も参照してください。

また、増設にあたっては、最寄りの保守サービスセンターに依頼することをお勧めします。

引き起こす原因となることがあります。

電源プラグを抜く

オプションの取り付け、取り外し時は電源プラグをコンセントから抜

き、外部装置と接続しているケーブルを外してください。

故障や感電する恐れがあります。

本書に記載されている場合を除き、絶対に分解したり、修理・改造を

行ったりしないでください。装置が正常に動作しなくなるばかりでな

く、感電や火災の危険があります。

本製品を箱から取り出した後は、次の注意事項を必ずお守りください。

ほこりの多い場所や水などの液体のかかるおそれのある場所に置かないでください。

強い磁気を発生させるものの近くに置かないでください。

本製品を第三者へ譲渡（または売却）する場合には、本書を一緒にお渡しください。

本書に記載のない本体装置について

本書に記載のない本体装置に搭載する場合は、搭載する本体装置のユーザーズガイドを参照して取

り付けを行ってください。

TPMキットの取り付け

１．準備確認事項

(1) 危険防止及び故障防止のため、作業を行なう際には本体装置の電源スイッチをOFFにし、電源プラ

グをコンセントから抜いてください。

２．増設手順

(1) TPMキットの取り付け準備

本体装置ユーザーズガイド「2章(1.3 取り付け/取り外しの概要)」の手順1～3を参照して準備

します。

1. トップカバーを取り外します。

2. TPM キットの取り付け位置を確認してください。

(2)TPMキットの取り付け

1. マザーボード上のコネクタに TPM キットのコネクタをまっすぐ挿します。

2. ナイロンリベットで固定します。

● TPMキットやマザーボードの端子部分には触れないでください。

汚れや油が付いた状態で取り付けると誤動作の原因になります。

● TPMキットに過度の力を加えるとTPMキットやマザーボードを破損

するおそれがあります。

User’s Guide

Thank you very much for purchasing this Trusted Platform Module Kit.

Read this guide thoroughly and follow the instruction when handling the Trusted Platform Module.

In addition, refer to “Notes on Use” described in the User’s Guide of the server to which to install this product

before the installation.

We recommend that you have your local service/maintenance center do this expansion work.

WARNING

If you disregard the precautions, it may cause malfunction of the device, human body injury,

fire and/or damage to the machine parts around the device.

Unplug the power

plug.

Make sure to unplug the power plug from the electrical outlet and

unplug the cables connected to external devices from the machine

before installing or removing the product.

Touching the device of the NEC Express server with its power plug

connected to a power source may cause an electric shock even if the

NEC Express server is powered off.

Never attempt to disassemble, repair, or alter the NEC Express server

under any circumstances other than described in this guide. Failure to

●Do not put this product in a dusty place or a place where liquid such as water may splash onto it.

●Do not put this product near strong magnetic sources.

When transferring (or selling) this product to a third party, please make sure to provide this guide along with

the product.

Use of a Server not Described in this Guide

When installing this product in a server which is not described in this guide, refer to the user’s guide of

the server to perform installation.

Installing the Trusted Platform Module

1. Prior confirmation

To avoid danger and prevent malfunction, turn off the power of the server and unplug the power plug

from the outlet before performing the installation.

2. Installation procedure

(1) Prepare for installing the Trusted Platform Module.

1. Slide the top cover (rear) to the rear of the server and remove it.

2. Check the installation position for the Trusted Platform Module on the motherboard.

(2) Install the Trusted Platform Module.

1. Insert the connector of the Trusted Platform Module straight into the connector on the

motherboard.

2. Fix it by the nylon rivet.

IMPORTANT

●Do not touch the terminals of the Trusted Platform Module and motherboard with

your bare hand. Fingerprints and dust left on them cause the server to

malfunction.

● Be careful not to apply excess force to the Trusted Platform Module. Doing so may

damage the Trusted Platform Module and motherboard.
