Intended Use of ULTRA Isolator + SRB
The MotoCrane ULTRA Isolator + SRB are designed to isolate cinema camera
stabilizers (brushless gimbals, or “stab heads”) and camera packages from vibration
and low to medium frequency shock loads caused by rapid changes in terrain. They are
intended for use with vehicles travelling over paved surfaces (concrete, tarmac, asphalt)
and also on moderate off-road such as gravel roads, fields, and state trails.
The SRB is designed for compatibility with industry standard “1-½ Speedrail”
rigging which is aluminum alloy pipe with an outer diameter of 1.9” (48.3mm) and
Schedule 40 wall thickness (.145” or 3.7mm). The SRB is intended for rigging that
complies with all industry standard practices such as load triangulation and the use of
any structural reinforcements required for achieving proper safety factors.
The SRB is intended for use with single or dual vertical Speedrail configurations.
For maximum rigidity and safety factor, it is recommended to use dual vertical
Speedrail configurations whenever possible. Please use the dimensional drawing below
to properly gap/space your dual vertical Speedrail for compatibility with the SRB:
Dual vertical Speedrail should be spaced 63-64mm apart for compatibility with the SRB
