Quick Guide

Choose one of 3 possible dispensing parameters for media:

• Use a preset program

• Scan a test data matrix code

• Manually customize the parameters

Dispensing Media and Filling Sample Bags

on the ReadyStream®System

Preset Program

Press the [PROG] button to move from one preset to

another. The LED corresponding to the selected preset

will turn green and the respective parameters are

displayed.

The system is ready to dispense media.

Scan a test data matrix code

Scan a test data matrix, the corresponding “Scan”

LED turns green and the respective parameters are

displayed.

The system is ready to dispense media.

Manually customize the parameters

To modify the volume, temperature or concentration,

the user can select the parameter to be modied by

pressing either [ml], [°C] or [X:1].

The system is ready to dispense media.

Any customized program can now be be stored as a

new preset

Dispensing media

Position a container or the test bag in the holder on the

dispensing unit. The test bag can be maintained by 2

sticky tack dots (not provided) positioned at the

top of each internal face of the holder.

Press [MEDIA] to dispense media according to

the displayed parameters of your sample.

Filling Sample Bags

Select either the standard ReadyStream®bag holder for

single samples or the large ReadyStream®bag holder

for pooling size samples, and add to the ReadyStream®

dispensing unit. The height of the dispensing holder

can be adjusted on the stand to accommodate for the

bag holders and bag sizes. Standard positions for the

standard and large bag holders are marked by yellow

tags.

Remove the blue cap and

connect the lter to the outlet

of the media preparation unit

Place a bag on the media

unit. Extend the tray for the

10 L bag

Connect the blue connector

of the media bag to the grey

connector of the lter set

Install the tubing on the two

pins

Install the gray dispensing

connector on the media

dispensing unit

Insert the stopcock valve in

the actuator

Position the tubing through

the peristaltic pump. Do not

close the pump

Using the barcode reader,

scan the data matrix code on

the label

Remove the orange cap from

the lter and store it in a

sterile container

Position the tubing in the

guiding pins

Using the barcode reader,

scan the data matrix code on

the media bag
