To prevent injury, Liftgate should be placed on level ground in shipping position
before installing mounting plate kit.

NOTE: Install this mounting plate kit before mounting Liftgate on vehicle. After this kit
is installed, refer to GPTLR Series Installation Manual (GPTLR-25, GPTLR-33,
GPTLR-44 and GPTLR-55) to install the Liftgate.
1. Position liftgate on level ground
with access to the original mounting plates
(FIG. 2-1). Unbolt the original mounting
plate from bracket on the LH side of the
main frame (FIG. 2-1). Remove mounting
plate. Discard the bolts and flange lock
nuts. Repeat for RH side.

NOTE: Gravity down models have plastic ties to secure cylinder vent tubes and hydrau-
lic hoses to the main frame. Remove plastic ties so the tubes and hoses can be
moved enough to remove and replace mounting plates.

2. Measure vehicle chassis to determine the distance needed between the new
mounting plates. Then, position the mounting plates an equal distance from the
center of the main frame, based on the distance measurement, plus 1/4” for the
LH plate and 1/4” for the RH plate (FIG. 3-1).

If mounting plate bracket interferes with
access to weld new mounting plate, cut
bracket down to no less than 1/4” above
the surface of the main frame (FIGS. 4-1
& 4-1A) to allow clearance for welding.
Repeat for RH side.

Before welding new mounting plates in
position, wrap hydraulic hoses close to
the welds, with small welding blanket
(FIG. 5-1A). Protect hoses on the main
frame, from heat and splatter, with
another welding blanket (FIG. 5-1).

7. Install liftgate on vehicle according to
instructions in the installation manual.
6. Remove welding blankets.

Para prevenir lesiones, el elevador hidráulico se debe colocar en suelo nivelado
en su posición de envío antes de instalar el kit de placas de montaje.
ADVERTENCIA
NOTA: Instale este kit de placas de montaje antes de instalar el elevador hidráulico en
el vehículo. Después de instalar el kit, consulte el Manual de Instalación para
Series GPTLR (GPTLR-25, GPTLR-33, GPTLR-44 y GPTLR-55) para instalar el
elevador.
1. Posicione el elevador al nivel del suelo
con acceso a las placas de montaje
originales (FIG. 7-1). Desatornille la
placa de montaje original del soporte en
el lado izquierdo del bastidor principal
(FIG. 7-1). Retire la placa de montaje.
Elimine los pernos y las tuercas de
seguridad con brida. Repita para el lado
derecho.

NOTA: Los modelos con descenso por gravedad cuentan con cintillos de plástico para
asegurar los tubos cilíndricos de ventilación y las mangueras hidráulicas en
la carcasa principal. Retire los cintillos de plástico para que los tubos y las
mangueras se puedan manipular lo suficiente para retirarse y reemplazar las
placas de montaje.

2. Mida el chasís del vehículo para determinar la distancia necesaria entre las
nuevas placas de montaje. Después, posicione las placas de montaje a la
misma distancia del centro del bastidor principal, basado en la medida de la
distancia, más 1/4” [6 mm] para la placa izquierda y 1/4” [6 mm] para la placa
derecha (FIG. 8-1).

Si el soporte de la placa de montaje
interfiere con el acceso para soldar la
nueva placa de montaje, corte el soporte
no más de 1/4” [6 mm] por encima de la
superficie del bastidor principal (FIGS. 9-1
y 9-1A) para que haya suficiente espacio
para soldar. Repita para el lado derecho.

Antes de soldar las nuevas placas de
montaje en su posición correcta, envuelva
las mangueras hidráulicas cercanas a
las soldaduras con una pequeña manta
ignífuga de soldadura (FIG. 10-1A). Proteja
las mangueras en el bastidor principal del
calor y de las salpicaduras con otra manta
ignífuga de soldadura (FIG. 10-1).

7. Instale el elevador hidráulico en el
vehículo de acuerdo a las instrucciones
en el manual de instalación.

soldadura.
