Connection
Mains Power
• This unit is designed to operate with an AC ~230V 50Hz power supply.
• Unwind the mains cable to its full length. Connect the mains plug to the mains
socket. Make sure the mains plug is firmly inserted into the mains socket. The unit
is now connected and ready to use.
• To switch the unit off completely, withdraw the mains plug from the mains socket.

Playing Music from a USB Device
The USB port is located on the front of the unit. Insert
a USB memory device into the port.

Playing music from an Audio Device
The AUX IN socket is located on the bottom left on the front of the unit. Use a 3.5mm
stereo audio cable (not included) to connect to the audio device through the AUX IN
socket.

Basic Operation
Powering ON/OFF
When you first connect the unit to the mains socket.
• Switch the POWER ON/OFF switch at the rear of the unit to the ON position to
turn the unit on.
• Switch the POWER ON/OFF switch at the rear of the unit to the OFF position to
turn off the unit.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit
off completely.
Selecting Modes
Turn the FUNCTION Selector to switch between USB, AUX, FM and AM modes. The
POWER indicator will be illuminate red.
Adjusting the Volume
Turn the VOLUME control to adjust the volume.
Radio Operation
1. Turn the FUNCTION selector to AM or FM mode.
2. Turn the TUNING control to tune to a station.
3. Adjust the VOLUME control to the desired level.
For Better Reception
FM - Fully unwind the FM aerial. Extend the FM aerial and place it in the position that
sounds best.
AM - Reposition the unit to get better AM reception.

AUX IN
1. Before connecting to the mains socket, use a 3.5mm stereo audio cable (not
included) to connect to the audio device through the AUX IN socket.
2. Connect the mains cable to the mains socket and switch the POWER ON/OFF
switch at the rear of the unit to the ON position.
3. Turn the FUNCTION selector to AUX mode.
4. Turn the VOLUME control on the unit to adjust the sound level.
5. In AUX IN mode, you may operate your audio device directly for playback
features.
USB Operation
1. Connect a USB device to the USB port directly.
2. Turn the FUNCTION selector to USB mode.
3. The USB indicator will illuminate once a USB device has been connected.
4. The unit will search for all available MP3 files, and start playback automatically.
MP3 Playback
Press the button to start playback.
To Pause Playback
Press the button to pause playback. To resume playback, press the button again.
To Stop Playback
Press the button to stop playback.
Skipping to Another Track
Press the buttons to skip to the beginning of the current track (or previous
track) or the next track.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
Ensure to unplug the unit from the mains socket before cleaning.
• To clean the unit, wipe the case with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any cleaning fluids containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasives.
• Do not spray an aerosol at or near the unit.
Hints and Tips
Problem Solution
No Sound • Adjust the volume control, it may not be turned up.
Sound is distorted • Volume is too high. Adjust the volume control.
Poor FM reception • Make sure FM aerial wire is fully extended.
• Electrical interference in your home can cause poor
reception. Move the unit away from them (especially
those with motors and transformers).
Poor AM reception • Rotate the unit horizontally until orientation with best
reception is found.
Unable to insert USB
device
• Insert the USB device the other way round.
Cannot play some
files from USB device
• Some USB devices may not be compatible with the unit.
• Only MP3 files format is supported.
