Before You Begin

Inspect the glass and all parts for damage before installation.

glass and all parts for damage, missing or loose parts.
WARNING: Risk of serious injury. Always wear safety glasses while cutting and drilling.
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury. Tempered glass should not contact hard surfaces or it may
shatter. Do not touch the edge of the tempered glass panel with tools or any hard objects.
IMPORTANT! Leave this manual for the end user. Read these instruction before installing or using this
product.
IMPORTANT! This door is designed to accommodate walls that are less than 3/8″(10 mm) out of plumb.
Verify the area the door will be attached to is within 3/8″(10 mm) of plumb. The door may not function
properly if the wall is more than 3/8″(10 mm) out of plumb.
Before starting the installation, lay out and identify all of the parts. Inspect them for damage.
Closely follow the manufacturer’s instructions pertaining to the sealant application on the door.
Sealing areas other than those shown may cause leaking.
Two people should perform this installation.
If your model includes a return panel, follow the return panel instructions and consult these
instructions as needed.

1. Prepare for Installation
NOTE: Cover the drain hole to avoid losing parts.
Confirm the shower base is level.
Confirm the walls are within 3/8″(10 mm) of plumb.
Mark the walls 3/8″(10 mm) from the front edge of the bath or shower base.

2. Install the Wall Jambs
Position a wall jamb at the mark 3/8″(10 mm) from the front ledge of the shower base.
Plumb the wall jamb using a level.
Temporarily secure the wall jamb with masking tape.
Make a pencil mark at each of the four slot locations in the wall jamb.
Remove the masking tape, then move the wall jamb to a safe area.
IMPORTANT! The supplied 6 mm drill bit is not suitable for drilling through tile. For tile installations,
usea6mmtile bit.
Slowly drilla6mmhole at each of the four marked hole locations, using the provided 6 mm drill
bit for non-tiled walls.
IMPORTANT! The provided wall anchors may not be appropriate for all wall material. Use another wall
anchor when needed.
Insert an anchor in each hole. Make sure the anchors are flush with the finished wall.
Secure the wall jamb to the wall using the four #8 x 1-1/2″screws.
Repeat for the second wall jamb.

3. Position the Return Panel and Door Assembly
IMPORTANT! Two people are recommended for this procedure.
Assemble the door frame following the directions provided with the door assembly.
Move the door assembly near the installation location.
Carefully slide the return panel into the wall jamb on the side of the shower base.
While one person holds the return panel in place, move the door assembly into position.
Slide the door assembly end into the wall jamb and into the end of the return panel.
Confirm the door assembly and return panel ends engage as shown.

4. Install the Strips
Install the cover seal into the return panel wall jamb.
Position the wall jamb cover strip next to the channel in the jamb, with it positioned slightly above
the opening.
Press the cover seal into the channel.
Rotate and press the cover strip into place starting at the top and working down.
Push the cover strip down until it is flush with the top of the wall jamb.
Install the remaining seals following the directions provided with door assembly.

5. Secure the Return Panel and Door Assembly
Center the door frame between the wall jamb and corner post. Dimension Xshould be the same on
both sides.

Verify the return panel and door assembly are plumb.
On both wall jambs, using the supplied 3 mm hex wrench, turn each of the three locking screws
clockwise 1/4 turn to lock the door frame in place.

6. Complete the Installation
NOTE: Thoroughly clean all dust, dirt, or grease from the bottom track and shower ledge surfaces where
sealant will be applied. Make sure the surfaces are dry.
IMPORTANT! Carefully follow the silicone sealant manufacturer’s instructions for application and curing
time.
NOTE: When applying silicone sealant, tape the area and use alcohol pads or denatured alcohol for
cleanup.
Apply silicone 100% sealant to the seams as shown.
Apply a small amount of silicone sealant to the top of the wall jamb.
Install the cover to the top of the wall jamb.
Complete any steps required in the door assembly installation.
Care and Cleaning
For best results, keep the following in mind when caring for your KOHLER product:
•Always test your cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area before applying to the entire surface.
•Wipe surfaces clean and rinse completely with water immediately after applying cleaner. Rinse and
dry any overspray that lands on nearby surfaces.
•Do not allow cleaners to soak on surfaces.
•Use a soft, dampened sponge or cloth. Never use an abrasive material such as a brush or scouring
pad to clean surfaces.
•The ideal cleaning technique is to rinse thoroughly and wipe the product dry after each use.

Warranty
ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
KOHLER plumbing products are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for one year
from date of installation.
Kohler Co. will, at its election, repair, replace or make appropriate adjustment where Kohler Co. inspection
discloses any such defects occurring in normal usage within one (1) year after installation. Kohler Co. is not
responsible for removal or installation costs. Use of in-tank toilet cleaners will void the warranty.
