Overview
Maximum width = 6,000mm. Maximum projection = 3,000mm
Minimum width (manual) = Projection + 330mm
Minimum width (motorized) = Projection + 310mm
Standard brackets ex. Factory is face fit only. Fabricated galvanized Rafter, Fascia &
Head fix adaptor brackets can be made for an extra charge
Adjustable pitch from 0 to 50 deg. Minimum of 20 deg for rain water run off

Tape measure, Spirit Level and String Line. Soft head rubber mallet
Electric drill with hammer option –12mm dia masonry drill bit for Chemset
Sockets set, spanners, screw drivers & torque wrench
Ramset wire brush and air pump (use safety glasses when using air pump
Measuring
Guidelines
Awning will be made to sizes specified. No deductions are made by manufacturing
Use tape measure to check awning projection, pitch & headroom under front bar
Check roof if access is required. Cliplok roofing cannot be removed
Check solid brick wall & minimum 7 courses bricks above brackets or use spreader
brackets fixed below 7 courses of braicks
3 brackets required if awning is over 4 metres wide. 2 end brackets close to arms

Assessments
Check State & Federal Licensing Requirements for Shade Systems Installation
Check for obstructions - electrical cables, water pipes, lighting, trees, etc.
Folding arm is spring loaded. Do not disconnect from brackets
Working from Heights
Before using platform step ladders up to 2 metres height Risk Assessment required
Risk assessment, W.M.S. & permit to work required for heights of 2 metres & above
Scaffolding in accordance with Safety Laws
Electrical hazards –Only qualified electricians may do electrical work
Installation
Position the 2 end fixing brackets within 50mm of arm brackets, as marked by labels on
the awning which state “INSTAL BRACKETS HERE”. Cassette will twist if +/- 50mm
tolerance exceeded
Drill holes for M10 Chemset anchors.
IMPORTANT –wire brush holes, blow clean using air pump. REPEAT 2 TIMES
Insert M10 x 90 Chemset 101 Anchors & fully drive in M12 studs. 15 min CURE
IMPORTANT: ALL TYPES OF INSTALLATION BRACKETS MUST BE MOUNTED
ABSOLUTELY ALIGNED, IN BOTH HORIZONTAL & PERPENDICULAR PLANES, TO
PROVIDE A FLAT SURFACE TO MOUNT THE CASSETTE. IF THE BRACKETS ARE NOT
ALIGNED THE CASSETTE HOUSING WILL BOW AND THE AWNING WILL NOT FULLY
CLOSE. . PACK (SHIM) IF REQUIRED
Lift awning & hook back extrusion slot onto brackets. Check fully located & tighten
locking screws
Recommended to set pitch at 12 deg. Adjust if required to suit customer & re-tighten all
screws

Electrical Wiring
Wire colour code
oBrown = Live
oBlue = Neutral
oGreen/Yellow = Earth
Cable entry at bottom of cassette. Loop in cable to stop water running into motor
IMPORTANT NOTE –When you turn on power to the motor the motor is in program
mode. Do not press buttons for a short period of time
Programming
ED Motor
PAIR THE MOTOR TO THE REMOTE;
1. Turn on the power & within 4 seconds
2. Press the P2 button on the back of the remote TWICE
3. Press the UP button for anti-clockwise rotation
4. Press P2 button. Motor will emit a beep to confirm paired
SET OPEN LIMIT
1. Press P2 button inside the back of the remote. Awning will jog up & down
2. Press close (UP) button & the motor will beep back
3. Press (DOWN) button & the awning will move open
4. Press the STOP button to confirm open limit position
5. Press the STOP button 5 times –awning will close & open to confirm setting
SET THE CLOSED POSITION
1. Press the close (UP) button to fully close the awning
2. Press P2 button ONCE
3. Press the UP button ONCE
4. Press P2 button ONCE again. The motor will JOG then BEEP twice to confirm
the setting is programmed

Wind sensor should be installed with turbine blades horizontal
Mount on wall or eave to sense wind approaching open awning
Push to remove top cover over bracket & connect 2 wires in
terminal block to 240 volts power
Centre connector is for neutral wire
Left or right connector is for direction to retract on
activation

PROGRAMMING
DC116 WIND SENSOR PROGRAMMING
1. Turn power on to awning motor & wind sensor
2. Press P2 button inside the back of the remote TWICE
3. Within 6 seconds use a ball point pen to PRESS button on wind sensor
4. Wind sensor is now paired to the motor
5. 3 positions to adjust sensitivity to suit
6. With awning open spin wind sensor turbine to confirm working
