LP340/350 Lamp Maintenance





In dirty or dusty environments, the dust filter screens on LP340/350 lamp modules can become plugged,

causing excessively high temperatures inside the lamp module. The high temperatures can cause

premature lamp failure. Routine maintenance to remove dust and dirt from the filter screens lowers the

lamp operating temperature and lengthens lamp life.

This Tech Tip describes how to clean the lamp module dust filter screens. Clean them every 200-250

hours when the projector is used in areas with high levels of airborne contaminants like lint, dust or

smoke.

You must remove the lamp from the projector to clean the dust filter screens.

CAUTION! The lamp module gets very hot during operation. Allow the lamp to cool for 30 minutes before

handling it.



 Remove the lamp door on the bottom of the projector by releasing the two tabs on the inside

edge of the door with your fingers. Then swing the door open.



If necessary, you can also use a coin. Take care not to scratch the finish on the projector.
