Please ensure that all these parts are in the packaging.

NOTE: Zen Garden, Tan Brick, Red Brick, all ship with the retaining

brackets in the kit. Architectural Stone panels use the bracket that ships

pre-installed on the unit.

CAUTION: The ﬁrebox panels are required for your appliance

to function correctly and safely.

Check the contents of the kits upon receipt and check for any damaged

or missing parts. If there is hidden damage, notify your freight company

or IHP dealer immediately.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

If logs are not installed according to the log installation instructions,

ﬂame impingement and improper combustion could occur and result in

soot and/or excessive production of carbon monoxide (CO), a colorless,

odorless, toxic gas.

The size and position of the log set is critical to achieve a safe, reliable

and attractive ﬂame pattern. Any attempt to use a different log set in the

ﬁreplace will void the warranty and will result in incomplete combustion,

sooting and poor ﬂame quality.

Step 1. Remove the glass door per instructions in the installation and

operation manual.

Step 2. Remove the log rack (2 screws) and install the rear log on the

retainer. See Figures 1 and 2.

Step 3. Remove brick retainer bracket and install rear panel. Reinstall

the log rack with the rear log. IMPORTANT!!! SCREWS PASS

THROUGH THE LOG RACK AND THE BURNER PAN.

TOOLS NEEDED

5/32” Allen Wrench Or T-Handle Wrench

All of these parts may scratch and bend, great care should be used

in handling them.

If you encounter any problems, need clariﬁcation of these instructions

or are not qualiﬁed to properly install this kit, contact you local distribu-

tor or dealer.

Read this instruction sheet in its entirety before beginning the installation.

ALL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS IN THE INSTALLATION AND

OPERATION MANUAL PROVIDED WITH THE APPLIANCE APPLY TO

THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

TURN OFF THE APPLIANCE AND ALLOW IT TO COMPLETELY COOL

BEFORE PROCEEDING.

Step 5. Zen Garden, Tan Brick, Or Red Brick Panel Kits ONLY - Using

a 5/32” allen wrench or t handle remove the screws holding the

brick panel brackets on each side of the ﬁrebox. Keep those

screws as you will use them when them for the new brackets.

The new brackets are included with the brick panel set. Use the

screws that were removed to attach these new brackets with the

wrench or t handle.

Step 6. Install a light layer of glowing embers (rockwool) directly over

the ports.

- A light layer will give a more constant rear ﬂame.

- A heavy layer will give more glow, but will need to

be adjusted after light up.

Step 7. Install front logs on retainer slots.

Step 8. Place volcanic stone around the perimeter of the glowing embers

(rockwool). IMPORTANT!!! Do not cover the ports with

volcanic stone.

Step 9. Place top log on pin.

Step 4. Install the side ﬁrebox panels by sliding them into place. See

Figure 3.

Step 10. Light the burner per instructions on the lighting label (in control

compartment) or in the installation and operation manual.

Step 11. If necessary, adjust the burner air shutter per instructions in the

installation and operation manual.

Step 12. Volcanic stone adjustment - To achieve optimumﬂame aesthetics:

If one or two ﬂames are substantially taller than the others, turn

the ﬂame off – open door and slightly move volcanic stone with

a screwdriver or other tool.
