BASIC SAFETY INFORMATION
INTENDED USE
I LOCK IT GPS serves as a bicycle lock to lock the rear wheel.
I LOCK IT GPS is controlled by a Bluetooth connection to a
smartphone with the I LOCK IT App installed, or to a
I LOCK IT key fob+.
Use I LOCK IT GPS only as described in this operating
instructions. Any other use is considered improper and can
lead to material damage or even personal injury.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by
improper use.
I LOCK IT GPS is intended for private use.
Before using your I LOCK IT GPS, please read the safety
instructions and the user manual carefully. Only in this way you
can use all functions safely and reliably. Keep the operating
instructions in a safe place and hand them over to a possible
subsequent owner.

You will find the following signal concepts in this manual:
This signal refers to a hazard with a medium
degree of risk which, if not avoided, could result
in death or serious injury.
This signal denotes a hazard with a low risk
gradient which, if not avoided, can result in a
minor or moderate injury.
This signal refers to important information or useful
tips for use.

Read these notes and follow all instructions.
Electric shock hazard: Excessive mains voltage
can lead to electrical shock.
• Use only accessories recommended by us.
• Use only a suitable plug-in power supply. Make sure that the
correct voltage is applied.
For more information, please refer to the plug-in power supply.
• Check the power supply regularly for damage. Do not use
the plugin power supply if its housing is defective or has other
visible damage.
• Use the plug-in power supply only indoor and not in damp
areas, and protect it against dripping and splashing water.•
• Never open the housing of the plug-in power supply or
the I LOCK IT GPS.
• Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when a
thunderstorm threatens.
BASIC SAFETY INFORMATION
Risk of explosion: Batteries (especially lithium
batteries) may explode if handled improperly.
• Keep I LOCK IT GPS away from heat sources (e.g.
ovens, radiators, amplifiers etc.).
• Do not attempt to dispose I LOCK IT GPS by incineration.
Only use accessories and equipment parts (e.g. battery)
which are offered or recommended by us.
• Protect the battery from strong heat, such as direct sun-
light, fire etc.
• Do not place open fire sources such as burning candles
or similar on or directly beside I LOCK IT GPS.
• If the housing is defective, do not use I LOCK IT GPS and
keep it out of the reach of children.
• Refer all repair and maintenance to qualified service
personnel.
An inspection and|or repair is necessary if I LOCK IT GPS
has been damaged in any way.

Operate I LOCK IT GPS only in the following environments
conditions:
• Min --20 °C ambient temperature
• Max 40 °C ambient temperature
Only charge the battery under the following environmental
conditions:
• Min 0 °C ambient temperature
• Max 30 °C ambient temperature
The use of the article can lead to accidents or malfunctions in
certain places.
• Do not use I LOCK IT GPS in explosive atmospheres or
dangered environment.
• Use Bluetooth® only in places where wireless radio trans-
mission is permitted.
I LOCK IT GPS and the flex adapters must be checked for the
following before each journey:
• Damage
• Fixed mounting on the bicycle frame

After each opening procedure it must be checked that
I LOCK IT GPS has been completely opened before the
journey begins. After each locking procedure, check that the
locking bar is completely closed.
Hearing loss due to acoustic sounds is possible.
I LOCK IT GPS should not be brought close to
your hearing.
• I LOCK IT GPS may only be fitted to the rear wheel.
• Mounting on motorcycles such as scooters, motorcycles
or S-pedelecs (pedelecs with up to 45 km|h assistance)
is not permitted.
• The maximum permissible tyre width is 64 mm.
If I LOCK IT GPS emits an acoustic signal while
riding, I LOCK IT GPS must be taken out of service
immediately and our customer service contacted.
Keep a safe distance from the locking bar during
the locking process, there is a danger of crushing.
• If the spokes are painted, it can lead to abrasion of the
paint through the locking bar.

2. FIRST SET-UP
2.1. CHARGING THE BATTERY
Before using your I LOCK IT GPS for the first time, you should
fully charge the battery. To do this, follow these steps:
I. Open the USB cover on the right side of I LOCK IT GPS.
II. Connect the supplied USB magnetic charging cable to the
magnetic charging port on I LOCK IT GPS.

III. Connect the USB magnetic charging cable to a USB-power
adapter, battery pack or the USB port of a computer.
To charge I LOCK IT GPS use only
voltage sources, which supply the USB output
with 5 V direct voltage (DC).
While I LOCK IT GPS is charging, the button LED
lights up red. When the battery is full, the LED
goes out.
If there is no power outlet near the bicycle
we recommend charging by using a battery pack to
avoid disassembly from the bike.
IV. Once I LOCK IT GPS is fully charged, you can remove the
USB magnetic charging cable and close the USB cover
again.
If the battery reaches a low charge level, an
acoustic warning tone will sound each time the
lock is opened. The battery should then be
charged to ensure that I LOCK IT GPS is ready
to use.

2.2. SETTING UP THE I LOCK IT APP
Once fully charged, you can connect your I LOCK IT GPS to
your smartphone.
The following steps can only be performed when
setting up a smartphone for the first time. If you
want to set up another smartphone or a key fob+,
please follow the steps in chapter 3.6.
I. Download the I LOCK IT app:

The Bluetooth functionality of your
smartphone must be activated before
starting the I LOCK IT app.
II. Install and start the I LOCK IT app on your smartphone.
III. Register in the I LOCK IT app and activate your account.
IV. Log in with your account.
V. Follow the further instructions in the app for setting up your
I LOCK IT GPS.
Initial setup of a smartphone is only possible when
I LOCK IT GPS is in setup mode. This is indicated
by a flashing blue button. Follow the instructions in
the app to put I LOCK IT GPS into setup mode.

If the initial setup was completed successfully, the I LOCK IT
App establishes a secure connection to your I LOCK IT GPS.
Once the process is complete, the I LOCK IT GPS button lights
up blue for 5 seconds and the I LOCK IT app confirms success-
ful pairing.
If the blue LED goes out before a connection is
established, then the button must be pressed again
to enable the connection.
The first time you set up I LOCK IT GPS with the I LOCK IT App,
you set your personal color code. This code is used to open
I LOCK IT GPS if there is no Bluetooth connection to the
smartphone or key fob and should not be passed on to third
parties.
The color code can be viewed and changed via the
I LOCK IT app.
The personal color code is very important and must be be
kept safe by you! If you lose your smartphone, your personal
color code cannot be recovered by our customer service.
• In the I LOCK IT app you can select which
I LOCK IT is meant to create a connection.
Individual configurations can also be setted.
• Your smartphone can only be connected
with one I LOCK IT at the same time.
