2 Optional BSC Card

An optional BSC card enables Huawei's UPS and other vendor's UPS to form a dual-bus

system.

With the optional BSC card, Huawei UPS can function as a slave device to trace the output

phases of other vendor's UPS or the phases of other 80–280 VAC power supplies in real time.

The following describes how to sample the output phases of other vendor's UPS.

Item

Description

Indicator description

POWER (green)

On: Other vendor's UPS has output.

Off: Other vendor's UPS has no output.

FAULT (red)

On: L and N wires of the sampling cable are incorrectly

connected.

Off: L and N wires of the sampling cable are correctly connected.

BSC1 and BSC2 ports

Signal ports, connected to the ECM, transmit BSC signals

L/N ports

Sampling ports, connected to the output U and N of other vendor's

UPS or other 80–280 V AC power supplies

Sampling voltage range: 80–280 V AC

Sampling frequency range: 44–66 Hz

A1.5 mm2sampling cable is recommended.

Install the fuse close to the power supply to be traced. The fuse breaking capacity should be at least

20 kA.

The fuse box and sampling wiring terminal shown in the figure are for reference only. The sampling

cable length, terminal, and fuse box installation mode need to be determined based on site survey

results. The customer can also purchase and install these components by themselves.

Procedure

Step 1 Connect the ground cable for the ESD wrist strap, and put on the ESD wrist strap and ESD
