SAFETY _______________________________________________
Please note the following instructions
when using the appliance:
7 The appliance is designed for domes-
tic use only.
7 Never use the appliance in the bath,
shower or over a wash basin filled
with water; nor should it be oper-
ated with wet hands.
7 Do not immerse the appliance in
water or let it come into contact with
water, even during cleaning.
7 Do not use the appliance near water
in bathtubs, wash basins or other
vessels.
7 If the appliance is used in the bath-
room, it is essential that the power
plug is pulled out after use, as water
close to the appliance can still consti-
tute a danger, even if the appliance
is switched off.
7 If not already present, for additional
protection it is recommend to install
a residual-current-operated protec-
tive device (RCD) with a rated resid-
ual operating current not exceeding
30 mA in the electrical circuit of
your bathroom. Ask your plumber
for advice.
7 The appliance can become very hot.
Never put your hair under the clip
for longer than a few seconds.
7 Avoid any contact of the skin with
the styling attachment.
7 Never cover the appliance, for
example with a towel.
7 Never place the appliance on soft
cushions or blankets during opera-
tion.
7 Pull out the power plug after use. Do
not pull out the plug by pulling on the
cable.
7 Never use the appliance if it or the
power cord is visibly damaged.
7 If the power cord is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufac-
turer, its service centre or a similarly
qualified person to prevent danger
arising.
7 Keep the appliance away from
children.

dren aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge
if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and under-
stand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without
supervision.
7 Never open the appliance under
any circumstances. No warranty
claims are accepted for damage
caused by incorrect handling.

OPERATION ________________________________________
Switching on and off
Check if the mains voltage on the type
plate (on the handle of the appliance)
corresponds to your local mains sup-
ply. The only way to disconnect the
appliance from the mains is to unplug
the power cord.
1 Place the appliance on stand G
and remove cool tip J.
2 Plug the power cord A into the
wall socket.
3 Set the temperature level with the
adjustable temperature button F.
4 Switch on the appliance by press-
ing C (ON).
– Mode indicator E lights up.
5 Place the appliance on stand G
and remove cool tip J.
6 Switch off the appliance by press-
ing D (OFF).
– Mode indicator E disappears.
7 Pull out power cord A from the
wall socket.
Caution
7 Never wind the power cord around
the appliance, as this can result in
damage.
Check the power cord and the appli-
ance regularly for visible damage.
Use
Your appliance styles hair into big curls
or voluminous waves.
1 Plug power cord A into the wall
socket, set the temperature with
temperature button F and switch
on the appliance with C (ON).
2 Fix the end of the strand of hair onto
styling attachment I by pressing
down lever H, put the strand under
the clip and release the lever again.
3 Wrap the strand of hair around the
styling attachment towards your head.
4 After 5 to 10 seconds, open the
clip and pull the styling attachment
out of the hair.
Storage
If you do not want to use the appliance
for a long period of time, please store
it carefully.
1 Always pull out the plug after use.
2 Place the appliance in a safe place
and let the styling attachment cool
down completely.
3 Store the appliance in a safe place.
Cleaning and care
Pull the plug out before cleaning.
Never submerge the appliance in water.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the appli-
ance and the styling attachment.
