Quick Operator’s Guide

SETUP

This procedure is for water-base paints and flushing fluids. For solvent-base paints and flushing

fluids (i.e. mineral spirits), you must read Fire and Explosion Hazard in the Operating Instructions.

* check the Graco operations manual delivered with the unit for more details.

WARNING

Remove cup. Fill 3/4 full. DO NOT

OVERFILL. Reattach and latch cup.

Turn fluid control out until trigger movement is not restricted.

Caution: Turning knob too far will remove it.

Connect air hose to gun and turbine.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT FLUID NOZZLE

For low flow rates or light

viscosity fluid, select smaller

nozzle sizes.

For high flow rates or high

viscosity fluid, select larger

nozzle sizes.

Installing the Fluid Set

Use your hand to loosen and remove the air cap retaining (A) and the air cap

housing (B).

While triggering the gun, use your hand to loosen and remove the nozzle (C)

from the gun.

Use your hand to loosen and remove the fluid knob assembly (D) and com-

pression spring (E) from back of gun and remove the old needle.

Insert the needle assembly (F) into the back of the gun. Replace the nozzle

(E,D) air cap housing (C,B,A) and air cap retaining ring and tighten by hand.

NOTE: O-ring (G) should always be on the nozzle.

Open air control valve.

Turn air cap to obtain

desired direction. Lock air cap with retaining ring.

Turn turbine on.

Wait several minutes

prior to spraying to

allow warm-up time.

SHUTDOWN

Turn off turbine. Unlatch cup.

CLEANING

Disassemble gun from cup and clean all parts with water.

Round Pattern

Set knob to RND Vertical or horizontal Pattern

Set knob to FAN

Select spray pattern by adjusting the fluid knob

and pattern selection knob. The air control

adjusts the TOTAL air to the pattern and gun.

Hold gun perpendicular, 6-8 inches

from surface. Move gun first, then

pull gun trigger to spray.

To control over-

spray, reduce

air flow or

reduce fluid

volume.

NOTE: If fluid is

not atomizing

properly, fluid

may need to be thinned further, or

a different tip size may be used.
