SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before installation and operation, read these instructions carefully and use this product only in the manner
described by the manufacturer in the operation manual.
The signal words shown below are used to alert you to potential personal injury and property damage hazards.
There are three hazard classifications based on potentially dangerous situations.
Obey all safety instructions that show these symbols to avoid possible injury, death and property damage.
WARNING:WARNING indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided,
could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION:CAUTION indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may
result in minor or moderate injury.
CAUTION:CAUTION used without the safety alert symbol indicates a potentially
hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in property damage.
WARNING
1. TO REDUCETHE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURYTO PERSONS, OBSERVE
THE FOLLOWING:
a) Use this unit only in the manner intended by the manufacturer. If you have questions, contact
the manufacturer.
b) Before servicing or cleaning the unit, switch power off at service panel and lock the service
disconnecting means to prevent power from being switched on accidentally.When the service
disconnecting means cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominent warning device, such as
a tag, to the service panel.
2. TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A RANGE TOP GREASE FIRE:
a) Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy
spillovers that may ignite.Heat oils slowly on low or medium settings.
b) Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or when cooking flaming foods.
c) Clean ventilating fans frequently.Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.
d) Use proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the surface element.
3. TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY TO PERSONS IN THE EVENT OF A RANGE TOP
GREASE FIRE, OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:
a) SMOTHER FLAMES with a close-fitting lid, cookie sheet, or metal tray, then turn off the burner.
BE CAREFUL TO PREVENT BURNS. If the flames do not go out immediately, EVACUATE
AND CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
b) NEVER PICK UP A FLAMING PAN - you may be burned.
c) DO NOT USE WATER, including wet dishcloths or towels - a violent steam explosion will
result.
d) Use an extinguisher ONLY if:
1) You have a class ABC extinguisher, and know how to operate it.
2) The fire is small and contained in the area where it started.
3) The fire department is being called.
4) You can fight the fire with your back to an exit.
4. Do not place any electrical parts in water or spray water on them.Such a situation could result
in fire or electrical shock.
5. In the situation of a potential gas leakage, do not switch the unit on and off as it could result in
a gas explosion.

2. To reduce the risk of fire and to properly exhaust air, be sure to duct air outside.Do not vent
exhaust air into spaces within walls, ceilings or into attics, crawl spaces or garages.

7. To protect hands from injury from the edges of the sheet metal, wear working gloves while
servicing.

CAUTION
• During cooking, do not touch the filter or filter screws.If the filter is attached incorrectly,
it may become detached and fall down injuring person(s).
• Keep your hand and other objects away from the blower unit while it is in motion, or it
may result in personal injury or damage.
NOTE
• While cooking, use the blower unit or damage may result to the blower unit from high
temperature.
• Do not use the stove, unless you are cooking with pans and the like. If overheating
occurs, the blower unit may become damaged due to high temperature.
1) Control the blower and the light with the control switch buttons.
2) The light button is on the right side.Push LIGHT button to turn on.
3) The blower has three switch buttons.HIGH, MEDIUM and LOW.
HIGH: In case of heavy cooking (smoke).
MEDIUM: Usual position.
LOW: In case of light cooking (smoke).
4) Push OFF button (on the left side) to stop the blower and turn the light off.

replacement of light bulb
When the attached light bulb burns out, replace it with a new locally purchased bulb.
Purchase bulb with the following specification.
• Mini-bulb: 120V, 40W • Size of screw: 17mm
WARNING
Before replacing the light bulb, push the OFF button and switch power off at the service
panel. Do not handle or push switches with wet hands as this could result in electrical
shock.
CAUTION
If the bulb burns out, wait until the light bulb has cooled off before removing, or you may
burn your hand.
Ordering Replacements

Remove one screw and swing the
lamp cover down in the direction of
the arrow.

Unscrew the burned out bulb and
remove it.
3
Install a new 40W bulb (locally
purchased).
4
Replace the lamp cover in the direction
of arrow and tighten the screw.

WARNING
• Before cleaning, push the OFF button and switch power off at the service panel. Do
not handle or push switches with the wet hands as this could result in electrical
shock.
• Always wear safety glasses or goggles and working gloves when cleaning.
• Keep people away when cleaning to avoid injury from unexpected falling of filter or
splashing of detergent.
CAUTION
• Wipe filter gently to avoid injury to your hand on the corners or edges.
• Do not use thinner, scouring powder and alkaline detergents or the like.Using these
materials may result in changing the quality or color of the filter.
• When using chemically treated cleaning cloths or the like, refer to and carefully follow
the product's instructions.

Refasten the filter and other parts securely. Incorrect attachment may result in personal
injury or damage to property.
Removing the Filter
While holding the filter in one hand, remove the screw, then slide to the right until it is
freed of the latches.
Replace the filter following the instructions above in reverse order.

• Do not operate the blower without the filter in place.This could result in injury to

NOTE
Clean the filter at least once a month to avoid grease contamination and grease
build-up.

• Service parts are kept at the manufacturer for a maximum of six years after ceasing
the production of this model.
• Requesting service indirectly can be done through contacting the dealer who sold
this blower unit to you.
• When the blower unit is not working normally even after checking common errors,
