HOLD
To use the “HOLD” function.
1) Turn the scale ON.
2) Place your mail piece (or other items) on the scale.
3) Press the “HOLD” key. The symbol “HOLD” will show on the display.
4) The scale will capture the weight and sound Beep (*optional)
5) The scale holds the reading for 5 seconds, you can read the value after removing the item
from the scale´s platform.
6) To clear the HOLD value, simply predd the HOLD again.
TARE WEIGHING
1. Press ON/OFF button as described above
2. Place the “tare item” on the platform
3. Press TARE and wait for several seconds until “0” is displayed
4. Add the “net-weigh-item”
This process can be continued up to 12 items.
NOTE: When all weight is removed from the scale, the tared value of a container will be displayed as
a negative number. Depress tare again to return the display to 0.

PROPER HANDLING
Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold. Your scale should be operated at normal room temperature.
Always allow the scale to adjust to room temperature for one hour per degree change before use.
Give your scale sufficient warm up time. It usually takes 20-60 seconds for the internal components
to stabilize.
CARING FOR YOUR SCALE
Your scale should be kept in a clean environment free from dust, dirt, moisture and vibration. Do not
place close to other electronic equipment. All can adversely affect the reliability and accuracy of your
scale.
Handle with care. All items to be weighed should be placed gently onto weighing surface. Although
this scale is designed to be quite durable, rough treatment may permanently damage the internal
sensor.
Avoid shaking, dropping or otherwise shocking the scale. This is a precision instrument and must be
handled with extreme care.
Only operate the scale on a stable, vibration free surface.
