Operating instructions.
CAUTION: Lead-Acid batteries can emit explosive gases w en c arged. Prevent sparks and
fire sources close to t e battery. Provide good ventilation – appliance s ould be used only
in well ventilated areas.
Typical c arge:
. Connect the charger connectors to corresponding battery terminals. It is recommended to
connect the positive connector before connecting the negative. Preserve correct polarity (+/-).
If t e battery is installed inside a ve icle disconnecting negative (c assis/ground) clamp from
t e battery is advised.
2. Ensure that the charger connectors have been connected properly and securely. Connect
the charger to AC mains power source. The “Power” LED indicator and LCD display will light up.
3. Battery voltage is indicated on the LCD display.
If the battery voltage is below 3.7V or above 5V no further action will be allowed due to
safety reasons.
Note: CBC-4 charger automatically detects battery type and after 0s of user inactivity it will
automatically start charge process with 0.8A current.
3. . Voltage range of 3.7-7.3V corresponds to 6V battery.
Pressing “MODE” button will activate/deactivate 6V battery automatic charge programme.
3.2. Voltage range of 7.3-7.5V corresponds to fully charged 6V battery or a deeply discharged
2V battery.
Pressing “MODE” button will perform battery check function. It will take about 90s, the display
will show “---” symbol. If battery's voltage is still in range of 7.3-7.5V, the connected 2V
battery is faulty and the charger will switch to standby mode. If the detected voltage is above
7.5V the charger will start battery recovery programme until 0.5V voltage is reached on the
battery.
3.3. Voltage range of 10.5-15V corresponds to 2V battery.
Pressing “MODE” button will activate 2V battery soft charge (0.8A) programme.
Pressing again “MODE” button will activate 2V battery regular charge (3.8A) programme.
Additional operating mode can be activated with next press of “MODE” button. It will raise the
full charge cut-off voltage from 4.4V to 4.7V (only for 2V batteries). It may improve
charging efficiency in low temperature (close to 0 Celsius degrees) conditions. This mode can
be also used to fully charge some AGM rechargeable batteries (refer to battery's manual for
further information).
4. Charging progress is indicated on LCD – flashing bar symbols. When the charge is finished, a
solid full battery symbol will be indicated.
The voltage of 7.3V corresponds to a fully charged 6V battery.
The voltage of 4.4/ 4.7V corresponds to a fully charged 2V battery.
5. Fully charged battery is monitored and in case of a voltage drop, the charging process will be
automatically restarted.
6. When the charging process is finished disconnect the charger from AC mains power source,
next disconnect negative connector from the battery. Next, disconnect the positive connector.

C arge stages description:
. Battery recovery function.
This step is valid only for 2V batteries. When low voltage (7.5- 0.5V) is detected on the
connected battery the charger automatically switches to recovery mode. High frequency
pulses are used to recondition the battery. When the voltage reaches 0.5V, charger will
continue to charge according to preselected programme.
2. Charging the battery.
In this step the charger uses preselected programme with default current to charge the
battery. Battery voltage is continuously monitored.
3. Topping up the battery.
To prevent gas emission and/or heating up of the battery, charge current is limited to 3.0A and
further to 0.8A towards the end of process.
4. End of charge, maintenance charge.
The charge process is terminated when the battery voltage reaches cut-off value of
4.4V/ 4.7V for 2V battery or 7.3V for 6V battery. The charge state of the battery is
continuously monitored. When the self-discharge occurs, charge is reapplied automatically to
maintain full charge state.
Notice:
. In case of a bad battery connection or other fatal error the charger stops operating. The
failure, red „+-” indicator will light up.
2. In case of abnormal operation the charger stops operating and switches to standby mode.
3. In case of a quick temperature increase, charger will reduce output power for maximum
safety. It protects the appliance from damages.
4. Regular supervision of c arging process is advised.

. Read the instructions before using this charger.
2. This charger is intended for use only with 6V/ 2V batteries - VRLA, AGM, VLA, SLA, WET,
GEL, LEAD ACID. Always check battery's manual for technical specification, charger
recommendation and safety precautions. Attempting to charge other types of batteries may
cause personal injury, damage to the charger or lead to a fire and/or explosion.
3. The charger is intended for indoor use only. Exposure to any liquids or moisture can cause
damage to the charger and battery. Do not allow foreign objects to enter the charger. This
could result in electrical shock or fire.
4. Disconnect the charger from the power socket when not in use.
5. Never use an extension cord or any attachment not recommended by the manufacturer.
6. Do not operate the charger if it has been subjected to shock or damage. Take it to a qualified
serviceman for repair.
7. Do not attempt to disassemble the charger as it may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
8. Unplug the charger from the power supply before attempting any cleaning. Use only a soft
damp cloth. Do not use water, detergents or alcohol.
9. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been

given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
0. Lead-Acid batteries can emit explosive gases when charged. Prevent sparks and fire
sources close to the battery. Provide good ventilation – appliance should be used only in well
ventilated areas.
. Never charge a frozen or damaged battery.
2. Never place the charger on top of the battery. Do not cover the charger when in use.
3. Never use the charger with a damaged power cord. Risk of electric shock.
4. Danger of acid burns. Using safety goggles and protective gloves is advised. In the event of
contact with electrolyte rinse the eyes or skin immediately with copious amounts of clean
running water and consult a doctor without delay.
Product disposal:
The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol on your product, battery, literature or packaging,
reminds you that all electrical and electronic products, batteries and accumulators must
be taken to separate collection at the end of their working life. This requirement applies
in the European Union. Do not dispose any of these products as unsorted municipal
waste.

EN Important notice.
EverActive CBC-4 c arger is equipped wit an additional c arging mode for equalizing single
cells that are installed in every 6V or 2V battery.
Equalizing charge mode is a transparent process activated automatically only after the battery
is fully charged during regular operating mode.
The charger tries to equalize any deviation between the battery cells by using safe, low
amperage charging pulses.
To fully utilize the capabilities of this mode, the user should leave the charger connected to
battery for a longer period of time (even for a few days) even after regular charge is finished
(when the full battery symbol is presented on the LCD).
Equalizing c arge partially regenerates t e battery and recovers lost capacity. It can also
improve output performance of t e battery.
During the equalizing charge some of t e batteries, especially wit low capacities can
ac ieve a voltage of above 15V (for 12V battery) or 8V (for 6V battery) in extreme – this
should not be considered as error or charger’s malfunction.
At the same time, for best charging results it is required to disconnect t e c arger from
battery if t e voltage indication exceeds t e value of 15V (for 12V battery) or 8V (for 6V
battery).
The equalizing charge process is strictly controlled and safe for the battery. Low amperage
charging pulses do not cause battery gassing, do not provoke thermal runaway and do not lead
to battery unseal or rupture.

Instrukcja użytkowania.
UWAGA: Baterie kwasowe, kwasowo-ołowiowe (Lead-Acid) itp. mogą emitować gazy
wybuc owe podczas ładowania. Należy zapobiegać obecności źródeł ognia i iskier w
pobliżu ładowarki. Należy zapewnić odpowiednią wentylację – produkt do użytku
wyłącznie w dobrze wentylowanym otoczeniu.
Typowe ładowanie:
. Podłączyć konektory ładowarki do odpowiednich biegunów akumulatora. Zaleca się
podłączenie bieguna dodatniego przed ujemnym. Zachować poprawną polaryzację (+/-). W
przypadku gdy akumulator zainstalowany jest w pojeździe, zaleca się odłączenie klemy masy
(-) od akumulatora.
2. Upewnić się, że połączenia ładowarki i akumulatora zostały wykonane dokładnie i
poprawnie. Po podłączeniu ładowarki do źródła zasilania AC zapali się dioda “Power”.
3. Wskazanie napięcia akumulatora pojawi się na wyświetlaczu LCD. Ze względów
bezpieczeństwa dalsza praca ładowarki będzie zatrzymana w przypadku wykrycia napięcia
poniżej 3.7V lub powyżej 5V.
Uwaga: Ładowarka CBC-4 automatycznie wykrywa typ akumulatora i po ok. 0s bezczynności
użytkownika automatycznie rozpocznie ładowanie prądem 0.8A.
3. . Napięcie w zakresie 3.7-7.3V odpowiada akumulatorowi 6V.
Naciśnięcie przycisku “MODE” uruchomi automatyczny program ładowania akumulatora 6V.
3.2. Napięcie w zakresie 7.3-7.5V odpowiada w pełni naładowanemu akumulatorowi 6V lub
głęboko rozładowanemu akumulatorowi 2V.
Naciśnięcie przycisku “MODE” uruchomi funkcję sprawdzenia baterii. Proces może potrwać ok.
90s, na wyświetlaczu pojawi się symbol “---”. Jeżeli wykryte napięcie będzie nadal w zakresie
7.3-7.5V, oznaczać to będzie, że podłączony akumulator 2V jest wadliwy – ładowarka
przełączy się do trybu gotowości „Standby”. W przypadku wykrycia napięcia powyżej 7.5V
ładowarka rozpocznie program regeneracji akumulatora dopóki nie zostanie osiągnięte
napięcie 0.5V na zaciskach akumulatora.
3.3. Napięcie w zakresie 10.5-15V odpowiada akumulatorowi 2V.
Naciśnięcie przycisku “MODE” uruchomi program ładowania akumulatorów 2V o niskiej
pojemności (prądem 0.8A).
Ponowne naciśnięcie przycisku “MODE” uruchomi program ładowania akumulatorów 2V o
wysokiej pojemności (prądem 3.8A). Dodatkowy tryb ładowania zostanie uruchomiony poprzez
kolejne naciśnięcie przycisku “MODE”. W tym trybie podwyższeniu ulega próg napięcia pełnego
naładowania – z 4.4V do 4.7V (dla akumulatorów 2V). Może to poprawić skuteczność
ładowania w niskich (bliskich 0°C) temperaturach. Ten tryb pozwoli również na pełne
naładowanie wybranych akumulatorów AGM (należy sprawdzić informacje zawarte w instrukcji
do akumulatora).
4. Proces ładowania sygnalizowany jest na wyświetlaczu LCD – ruchomy, mrugający symbol
baterii. Po zakończeniu ładowania wyświetlany jest symbol pełnej baterii.
Wskazanie napięcia 7.3V odpowiada w pełni naładowanemu akumulatorowi 6V.
Wskazanie napięcia 4.4/ 4.7V odpowiada w pełni naładowanemu akumulatorowi 2V.
