Setzen Sie den Logger niemals hohen
Temperaturen aus! Führen Sie keine Ver-
suche in Mikrowellengeräten durch!
Explosionsgefahr der Lithium-Batterie!
Beachten Sie die Vorschriften für den
Einsatz in explosionsgefährdeten Berei-
chen! Geräte mit einer Beschädigung der
Metallisierung dürfen im Ex-Bereich nicht
mehr verwendet werden - Explosions-
gefahr!

The operating manual introduces you with
clear and simple instructions to the
handling of the device.
Information that are useful and important
for understanding the function are
highlighted in the instructions text.
On behalf of a safe handling of the data
logger, follow the safety notes marked
with the character .
Safety notes
Never expose the logger to high tempe-
ratures! Do not carry out tests in
microwave devices! Risk of explosion of
the lithium battery!
Please follow the instructions for use in
explosive areas! Risk of accident when
explosion occurs! In case of damage to
the metallization of the housing, the
logger must no longer be used in
hazardous areas.

Consignes de sécurité
N’exposez jamais l’instrument à de
hautes températures ! N’utilisez pas
l’enregistreur dans un appareil à micro-
ondes ! Risque d’explosion de la pile au
lithium !
Observez les prescriptions pour l’emploi
en zones explosives! Risque d’accident
en cas d’explosion! En cas
d’endommagement de la métallisation du
boîtier, l’thermometrè de données ne doit
plus être utilisé en zone explosible.

Hinweis zum Einsatz von Fühlern
zusammen mit dem Logger EBI-
2T-402-Ex
Es dürfen alle Thermoelemente die so-
genannte “einfache elektrische Betriebs-
mittel“ sind zusammen mit dem Logger
EBI-2T-402-Ex eingesetzt werden.
Definition laut Norm EN 50020:2002,
Punkt 5.4 c):
Energiequellen, beispielsweise Thermo-
elemente die nicht mehr als 1,5V, 100mA
und 25mW erzeugen müssen als einfa-
che elektrische Betriebsmittel betrach-
tet werden.
“Einfache elektrische Betriebsmittel“ wer-
den nicht als potentielle Zündquellen
angesehen, die eine Explosion verursa-
chen könnten, und brauchen nicht nach
Abschnitt 12 gekennzeichnet zu werden.
Desweiteren sind nachfolgenden
Punkte der Norm EN 50020 zu beach-
ten:
-5.4.1) und 5.4 2) Übereinstimmung
ist gegeben durch Übereinstimmung
mit 5.4 c)
-5.4.3) ist nicht relevant in Verbindung
mit unserem batteriegespeisten
Messgerät.
-5.4.4) ist nicht relevant hinsichtlich
Werkstoff.
-5.4.5) Temperaturklasse im Ex-Be-
reich siehe III Technische Daten
-5.5.6) nicht anwendbar; Kategorie 2G

sation de capteurs conjointe-
ment avec les Enregistreur de
température EBI-2T-402-Ex
Tous les thermocouples, qui sont de
„simples matériels électriques“, peuvent
être utilisés conjointement avec les
enregistreur EBI-2T-402-Ex
Définition selon la norme EN
50020:2002, point 5.4 c):
Les sources d’énergie, telles que les
thermocouples, qui ne produisent pas
plus de 1,5 V, 100 mA et 25 mW, doivent
être considérées comme de simples
matériels électriques.
„Les simples matériels électriques“ ne
sont pas considérés comme des sources
d’allumage potentielles, qui pourraient
provoquer une explosion, et n’ont pas
besoin être marqués conformément au
paragraphe 12.
De plus, il faut observer les points
suivants de la norme EN 50020:
-5.4.1) et 5.4 2) La conformité est
donnée par la conformité avec 5.4 c)
-5.4.3) n’est pas important en rapport
avec notre instrument de mesure
alimenté par une pile.

Note regarding the use of
sensors in conjunction with the
logger EBI-2T-402-Ex
All thermocouples, which are so-called
„simple electrical equipment“, may be
used in conjunction with the logger EBI-
2T-402-Ex.
Definition according to the standard
EN 50020:2002, Point 5.4 c):
Sources of energy, e.g. thermocouples
which generate no more than 1.5V,
100mA, and 25mW, must be considered
as simple electrical equipment.
„Simple electrical equipment“ is not
considered as potential ignition sources,
which could cause an explosion, and
needs not be marked according to
chapter 12.
Moreover, the following points of the
EN 50020 standard must be observed:
-5.4.1) and 5.4 2) The conformity is
given by the conformity with 5.4 c)
-5.4.3) is not relevant in connection
with our battery-operated measuring
instrument.
-5.4.4) is not relevant with regard to
the material.
-5.4.5) Temperature class in the
hazardous area, see III Technical Data
-5.5.6) not applicable; category 2G

1Beschreibung
Der Temperatur– Datenlogger ist ein
handliches, mit einer Lithiumbatterie be-
triebenes Temperatur-Aufzeichnungs-
und Speichersystem.
An den Logger können verschiedene
NiCr-Ni-Fühler – je nach Messaufgabe –
angeschlossen werden.
Die Elektronik wird durch einen Mikro-
prozessor gesteuert. Dies garantiert eine
hohe Messgenauigkeit und Linearität
über den gesamten Messbereich.
Über die Schnittstelle RS 232 schließen
Sie den Logger an einen PC an. Die Soft-
ware WINLOG 2000 ermöglicht Ihnen die
Programmierung und das Auslesen der
Daten.

1Description
The temperature data logger is a handy
temperature recording and storage
system operated with a lithium battery.
Depending on measurement jobs, vari-
ous NiCr-Ni probes can be connected to
the logger.
The electronics are controlled by a
microprocessor. This ensures a high
measuring precision and linearity over the
complete measuring range.
Connect the logger with a PC via RS 232
interface. The WINLOG 2000 software
allows you to program and readout data.

1Description
L’enregistreur de températures et de
données est un système pratique d’en-
registrement de la température, alimenté
par une pile au lithium.
Selon les besoins, cet enregistreur peut
recevoir différentes sondes NiCr-Ni.
La partie électronique est commandée
par un microprocesseur qui garantit des
valeurs exactes et linéaires sur toute la
plage de mesures.
Vous pouvez connecter l’enregistreur à
un PC par l’interface RS232. Le logiciel
WINLOG 2000 vous permet la pro-
grammation de l’instrument et la récu-
pération des données.
