Pro Diving
oTip: When using serial connections with an Ethernet OmniSport, the network
port must be disabled to allow serial communications.
MENU > 4 > 7 > 7 NETWORK PRO: OFF will allow you to shut off the
Network Pro option.
oVerify software is up to date. *Verify version entitlement; Contact Daktronics
Help Desk if questions arise.
oVerify software opens correctly without errors.
oIf customer has an Ethernet OmniSport it can communicate via network, or
connect (USB/Serial adapter) to Pro Dive laptop and install driver (if
needed).
oConnect standard Ethernet cable from Pro Dive laptop directly to Ethernet
Omni or a network router/switch.
oIf serial, connect cable from J4 EXPANSION PORT on the OmniSport 2000
to the serial cable/adapter on the Pro Dive computer.
oVerify communication between devices. *May need to change com port
value in Pro Dive, or set to UDP.
oTip: When using serial connections with an Ethernet OmniSport, the network

oVerify communication between Hy-Tek and the OmniSport 2000 (via serial
or network). *Ethernet OmniSport 2000s have the ability to do both options.
oFor serial communication to function, the Network MMR feature needs to be
OFF in the OmniSport 2000 menu.
MENU > 4 > 7 > 7 NETWORK MMR: OFF
Ensure that the proper drivers are installed if using a USB-Serial
Adapter, and document the com port being assigned in
Device Manager.
Serial communication uses a straight serial connection to the J6
RESULTS PORT on the OmniSport 2000.
oFor Ethernet Communication to function, the Network MMR feature needs to
be ON in the OmniSport 2000 menu. Connection can be directly between
the two, or go through a switch/router.
