A. InstallationTips
TheDakotaMicrowirelessadd‐onisapowerfulwirelessaudio/videotransmitter,whichwillallowyoutoviewareasout
ofreachofcables.Inselectingalocationforthetransmitterusethefollowingguidelines.Trainingvideosareavailableon
theDakotaMicrowebsiteatwww.dakotamicro.com.
Locationwithin2,000feetofreceiverlocation(unlessusinglargerantennas).
Lineofsite,meaningthatthereisnoobstruction,suchasabuildingortreebelt.Shorterrangesfewerthan300feet,are
lesscriticalof“lineofsite”.However,steelbuildingsandsteelwallswillinterferewiththesignal.Wallsconstructedof
woodandsheetrockaremoretransparenttothesignal.Theabilityforthesignaltopenetrateglassdependsuponifthe
glassisleadlined.Thereareseveralenvironmentalconditions,suchashighpoweredelectricallines,otherwireless
devicesignalsfromcellphonecompanies,governmentagenciesandradiostations;forexample,thatmayaffectthe
rangeoftransmission.ThereforeDMcannotguaranteeanyspecificranges.
Standardtransmittersandreceiversmustbeinstalledindoorsinadrylocation.Forsteelbuildings,youmustusean
externalantenna.Waterprooftransmittersmaybeinstalledoutsideintheweather/rain.
YoumayuseAgCam®cablestomountcameraupto160feetfromtransmitter.HoweverDakotaMicro,Inc.power/video
cablesarenotabletocarryaudiosignal.Ifyourequireaudio,youmustobtainspecialcablesfromyourdealer.

C. ReceiverInstallation
WhenbeingusedwiththeDakotaMicro,Inc.
monitor:
1) PlugtheOverViewconnectorintooneofthe
availablemonitorconnectors(1).
2) Powerthemonitorasinstructedinthemanual
(2).OnlyusetheACadaptorsuppliedwithyour
monitor.
IMPORTANT:Powermustbeavailableforboththetransmitterandreceiver.Useonlytheprovidedpowersupplyordamagewill
occur.DONOTusethefrontinputsandtheOverView®(rear)inputatthesametime,asseriousdamagewilloccurtothe
transmitter.However,bothoftheoutputsofthereceivermaybeusedatonetimeforsimultaneousdisplayonaTVand
OverView®monitor.Donotallowthetransmitterorreceivertogetwet.

VIII. EMISSIONSNOTIFICATIONS
ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,pursuanttoPart15oftheFCCRules.
Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotectionagainstharmfulinterferenceinaresidentialinstallation.Thisequipment
generatesusesandcanradiateradiofrequencyenergyand,ifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstructions,maycause
harmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.However,thereisnoguaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurinaparticular
installation.Ifthisequipmentdoescauseharmfulinterferencetoradioortelevisionreception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturning
theequipmentoffandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrecttheinterferencebyoneormoreofthefollowingmeasures:
Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna.
Increasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver.
Connecttheequipmentintoanoutletonacircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthereceiverisconnected.
Consultthedealeroranexperiencedradio/TVtechnicianforhelp.
InordertocomplywithFCCrulesforprotectionagainstradiofrequencyexposure,thisdevicemustbeinstalledinamannerto
provideaminimumseparationof20cm(8”)betweentheantennaandallpersons.
ChangesormodificationsnotexpresslyapprovedbyDakotaMicrocouldvoidtheuser'sauthoritytooperatetheequipment.

Thisdevicehasbeendesignedtooperatewithanantennahavingamaximumgainof15dBi.Antennashavingahighergainisstrictly
prohibitedperregulationsofIndustryCanada.Therequiredantennaimpedanceis50ohms.
Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:(1)thisdevicemaynotcauseinterference,and(2)thisdevicemustacceptany
interference,includinginterferencethatmaycauseundesiredoperationofthedevice.
Toreducepotentialradiointerferencetootherusers,theantennatypeanditsgainshouldbesochosenthattheEquivalent
IsotropicallyRadiatedPower(EIRP)isnotmorethanthatrequiredforsuccessfulcommunication.

WhenselectingacamerasystemfromDakotaMicro,besuretoutilizetheappropriatesystemforyouruse.AgCamand
EnduraCamcamerasaredesignedforhighimpact,moisture,vibrationandavarietyofotherroughconditions.
OverViewcamerasandkitcomponentsaredesignedforlightuse,lowvibrationandlowmoisture.OverView
equipmentisnotwarrantedwhenusedinsituationsoutsideoftheabovementionedparameters.Wealwaysrequest
thatcustomerskeepinmindthatourlessexpensiveOverViewproductlineischeaperbecauseitdoesnotfeaturethe
reliabilityanddurabilityofourAgCamandEnduraCamlines.Thewarrantyavailableontheseproductsreflectthat
durability.
Toavoidelectricalshockandmaintainoptimalfunctionality,donotopentheenclosures.Highvoltagemaybepresent
andtherearenouserserviceablepartsinside.Allwarrantieswillbevoidshouldanyenclosuresbetamperedwithin
anyway.
Donotuseanyharshchemicalsolvents,cleaningagentsorcorrosivedetergenttocleanawaydirtonthesurfaceofthe

chemically,theyshownostresspattern.Inspectyourlensesfrequently.Chippedorscratchedsurfaceswillreduce
protection.Suchlensesshouldbereplacedonlybythemanufacturer.
Powertocamerasisnotinterruptedbyturningoffmonitor;12vpowersourcemustbeterminatedwhennotinuseto
