Trim & Position Buttress Wall Jamb
The Wall Jamb used in this step is shipped with the shower door
unit. Check Wall Jamb for installation holes before trimming.
Trim buttress Wall Jamb (E) to length as per “Spec #1” (see
specification table on page 2). Position it up against the shower
wall and align it 1” from the buttress edge as shown. Hold plumb,
then pencil mark the installation hole locations onto shower wall.
Remove Jamb and lightly center punch the installation hole
locations. Drill1"deepinstallationholesusinga3/16"masonrybit
and insert Plastic Screw Anchors (Y). Reposition Jamb as before
and secure to shower wall using 1-1/4” Installation Screws (W ).
Install Buttress Sill and Glass
TrimbuttressSill(N)tolengthasper“Spec#2”(see specification
table on page 2). Apply a bead of caulking the full length of
underside of buttress Sill. With one end into buttress Wall Jamb,
set Sill atop buttress curb as shown and square it with the curb
edge.
Insert two glass support Setting Blocks (P ) into buttress Sill (refer
topartslist,frontsheet). SettheGlassPanelontheSettingBlocks
and slide glass a 1/2" into buttress Wall Jamb. Hold Glass Panel
inplacebyinstallingshortlengthofPostGlazingvinyl(S)between
Glass Panel and buttress Wall Jamb, both inside and out.
Trim & position Base Sill
Trim base Sill (A) to length as per “Spec #3” (see specification
table on page 2). With weep holes facing toward the interior,
center Sill piece (A) on shower curb. Temporarily tape Sill to curb.
Trim, Assemble & Install Corner Assembly
Trim Corner Assembly pieces (M & AA) to length as per “Spec #4”
(see specification table on page 2). Assemble the Corner Assem-
bly by sliding or snapping pieces (L, AA & M) together as shown in
detailabove. SetCornerAssemblyintobaseSill(A)andslideover
the exposed edge of Glass Panel by 1/2". Hold Corner Assembly
in place by installing short length of Vertical Glazing Vinyl (S )
between Glass Panel and Corner Assembly, both inside and out.
Place Assembly onto buttress Sill, hold plumb, then mark and drill
an installation hole. Secure to buttress wall using one (1) 1-1/4"
installation screw (W).

Position Wall Jamb
The Wall Jamb used in this step is shipped with the shower door
unit. Check Wall Jamb for installation holes before installing.
Position Wall Jamb (E) into end of
base Sill and up against the shower
wall. Plumb the Wall Jamb, then
make a pencil mark on the shower
wall thru each of the three (3) instal-
lation holes. Remove Wall Jamb
and lightly center punch the installa-
tion hole locations. Drill 1" deep
installation holes using a 3/16" ma-
sonry bit and insert Plastic Screw
Anchors (Y). Reposition Jamb as
before and secure to shower wall
using three(3) 1-1/4" Installation
Screws (W).
Assemble Header
AssembleHeader by insertingthe Corner Bracket(U) into Header
Pieces (B & C) as shown above. Pull the corner together, then
using the corner bracket’s elongated holes as guides, mark and
drillthe header pieces with a 9/64" drill bit. Loosely secure Corner
Bracket to Header pieces with two #8 x 3/8" machine screws (V).
Pull the corner tightly together, drill the two remaining holes and
secure with two additional screws. Tighten all screws.

Attach Drip Rail
Notchand extend VinylSweep (g2) passDrip Rail edgeas shown in
figure below. Attach Drip Plugs (Z) onto Drip Rail (see exploded
view - sheet 1), be sure to remove the knockout on the hinge side
drip plug so the water will drain. Clean bottom rail of door with
alcohol to remove any oil. Failure to clean door rail prior to installa-
tion of Drip Rail (G) may cause tape to release. Remove backing
from tape and position Drip Rail flush with backside of Hinge Stile
(f2) as shown in figure below.
Sweep should cover gap at bottom of Door as shown in figure be-
low. Slightly elevate Drip Rail at strike side prior to securing to cre-
ate a sloping effect.
Glass Note:
Two (2) optional self drilling
screws (O) are provided in
case you want to further se-
cure the drip rail. If using
screws to attach drip rail . . .
never drill holes within 5/8”
of exposed glass! To do so will result in glass breakage.
Trim top & bottom Dam Strips
MeasurethedooropeningwidthatSillandHeaderlevels. Trimtop
and bottom Dam Strips (D) to measurements obtained. With high
lipstowardexterior,positionDamStripsontheHeaderandSilland
snap them into place.

Install DoorAssembly
Insertthe DoorAssembly’s Hinge Post(f1) into the Post fromwhich
it is to swing, then insert the Strike Post (J) into the post it will strike
(see exploded view - sheet 3). Magnet on door should face toward
interior when installed, while magnet on strike post should face
toward exterior.

Attach Door Handles
Attach the Door Handles (H) to the door using two(2) Door Handle
Screws (I) as shown in exploded view - sheet 3.
Secure Header
From interior, secure Header to Wall Jambs and to CornerAssem-
bly using 638THS Screws (K), see explode view - sheet 1. Screw
(K) is not self drilling, therefore, pre-drill pilot holes using a 7/64”
drill bit. To prevent glass breakage when drilling the Header, tem-
porarily slide glass panel away from Wall Jamb. When done, re-
center glass panel as before.
Leak Proof Your Installation
Run a bead of clear mildew resistant caulking down the full length of
each Wall Jamboutside where the Jambs meet the Walls. Now run
a bead outside where the Sills meets the curb. Follow caulking
manufacturer’sinstructions beforeusingshower(normally 24 hours).
Installation is now complete.
Adjust DoorAssembly
Adjust Door Assembly and
Strike Post as needed for
proper Door operation.
Note:DoorAssembly bottom
must always remain parallel
to Sill in order for door to
operate properly. When satisfied with door operation, secure Hinge
Post(f1) andStrikePost (J)tothe vertical postsusing six(6)638PHPT
Installation Screws (X). See exploded view - sheet 3.
PARALLEL TO SILL
Insert Glazing Vinyls
Insert Vertical and Horizontal Glazing Vinyl (S & T) to secure the
Glass Panels (R & Q) in place. Use a vinyl roller to speed up
installation.
Measure, trim & position Header
Measure from walls to outside of Corner Assembly as shown
above. TrimHeaderpieces (B&C)tolengthasper“Spec#5”(see
specification table on page 2). When done trimming, position
Header on top of Jambs. Do not secure at this time.
