UNPACKING AND INSTALLATION
The box contains the scale, AC adapter and allen wrench. The rechargeable battery is pre-installed in the base of the
scale. Examine the package and scale carefully for any signs of damage. Report any damage to the delivering carrier
immediately, as the carrier will not honor damage claims after 30 days.
Remove the scale from the styrofoam packing. Remove plastic covering from indicator and tower. Use the allen wrench
to tighten the screws when the tower is in desired position. Save the box and all packing material for future transporta-
tion.
Your scale can be operated with the rechargeable battery or using electric current.
Before operating the scale with electric power, check to insure the voltage at your power supply is 110 volts. Operation
using electrical power can be obtained by inserting the prong of the AC adapter into the terminal located on the rear of
the indicator and securely connecting the adapter into a wall receptacle. To prevent damage from power surges, light-
ning, etc. it is recommended a spike bar be installed between the electric power source and your scale.
Always use the AC adapter provided, as using the wrong adapter may result in damage to your scale and void the war-
ranty.
Always unplug your scale if it will not be used for an extended period of time.
The scale can be used by pressing the “ON” button.
Refraining from use as soon as practical when the “LOW BATTERY” signal appears will prolong battery life. The battery
should be recharged as soon as possible using the AC adapter as indicated above. A full charge can be obtained in
approximately 10 hours.
