Le temps à l’état pur

La montre CLASSIQUE s’inspire direc -

tement des créations d’A.-L. Breguet.

notre fondateur. Le sceau du style

Breguet.

Le modèle CLASSIQUE à tour d’heures

excentré est la version contempo-

raine d’une montre de poche créée

en 1829 par A.-L. Breguet. La dis-

position élégante des fonctions sur

le cadran est typique de son style

audacieux. C’est vers 1812 que notre

fondateur conçut ses premiers

cadrans à tour d’heures exccentré,

imposant ainsi une esthétique tota-

lement nouvelle dans l’horlogerie.

Tant dans son apparence que dans

sa conception mécanique, votre

montre CLASSIQUE marque l’aboutis-

sement d’une longue quête de la

perfection.

“CLASSIQUE” WATCH, OFF-CENTRED HOUR CHAPTER RING, CALENDAR,

MOON-PHASES, SELF-WINDING, WATER-RESISTANT TO 3BAR (30 M)

The crown has two positions:

1. Neutral position

(manual winding)

2. Time-setting position

Starting the watch

Crown in position 1. This position

enables manual winding of the

self-winding movement, meaning

winding by rotating the crown

upwards (▲), about 30 to 35 turns.

Afterwards, when worn on the wrist,

the watch is automatically rewound.

If not worn, it will stop after about 45

hours.

Setting the time

Pull the crown out to position 2. Turn

the crown upwards (▲) to move the

hands forwards to the date change at

midnight. Then set your watch to the

desired time by turning the hands

(Please note: if you set your watch

during the afternoon, you must first

move the hands past noon). For accu-

rate time-setting, ensure that the last

operation was done in a clockwise

direction. Then push the crown back

to position 1. After this operation,

rotate the crown downwards (▼) to

make sure it turns freely.

Nota bene

Corrections of the date (push-

piece I), the day of the week

(push-piece II) and moon- phases

(push-piece III) must under no

circumstances be done when the

watch shows a time between 8pm

and 6am. If you are uncertain of the

time shown by the hands (whether it

is am or pm), move the hour and

minute hands forwards (crown in

position 2) up to 6am, after the date

change. Then correct the date, the day

of the week and moon-phases as nec-

essary, before setting the watch to the

correct time.

Correcting the date (1-31) –

push-piece I

Press push-piece Iusing the gold sty-

lus. Repeat the operation until the

exact date appears.

Correcting the day of the week –

push-piece II

Press push-piece II using the stylus.

Repeat the operation until the exact

day of the week appears.

Correcting the moon-phases –

push-piece III

Press push-piece III using the stylus,

so as to place the moon in the centre

of the window. Use a diary to count

the days since the last full moon.

Then press the push-piece the corre-

sponding number of times. You will

thus have set the moon-phases to date.

Important note

This watch is guaranteed water-

Time in the Breguet style

The CLASSIQUE watch is directly

inspired by the work of A.-L. Breguet.

It embodies the principles with

which he revolu tionized watch

design: purity of form, harmony of

proportion and clarity of informa-

tion, reflecting the ordered beauty

of the movement within. Its features

are the hallmarks of the Breguet

style, from its finely-fluted caseband

to its hand-engraved “guilloché”

dial. With its strong personality,

your CLASSIQUE represents the ideal

face of time.

The CLASSIQUE model with off-centred

hour chapter ring is inspired by a

pocket watch made in 1829. The dial

design is remarkable for the daring

and elegant disposition of the hour

chapter ring, calendar and moon-

phases. A.-L. Breguet created his first

off-centred or eccentric dials in about

1812, thus introducing a major styl-

istic invention. With these highly orig-

inal dials, always in exquisite taste,

he found the culmination of his quest

for aesthetic perfection.
