2. Overview

2.1 Introduction

The ServSwitch DT DisplayPort KVM with USB and Audio combines USB KVM,

keyboard/video/mouse switching and USB peripheral sharing in one device. Two

models are available: 2-port (KV9702A) and 4-port (KV9704A). You can easily

operate up to four PCs, G3/G4 Macintosh®computers, or Mac®Pros from a single

USB keyboard, USB mouse, and monitor, saving you space, time, equipment, and

money. Its peripheral sharing function enables you to share more USB peripherals

among all computers. The units also support bidirectional audio. Users can switch

among up to two or four KVM sources and control the systems using a USB key-

board and mouse, USB peripherals, and bidirectional audio, and view them with a

DisplayPort supported monitor.

Installation is as easy as connecting USB A-B cables between computers and the

ServSwitch DT DisplayPort KVM. To select a port, just press the front-panel

button(s). The built-in USB hub ensures smooth switching from one computer to

the other. It reduces redundant cables and encourages a neat and tidy working

environment.

2.2 Features

• Supports high-resolution video up to UXGA (1600 x 1200)/Full HD (1920 x

1080)/WUXGA (1920 x 1200), WQXGA (2560 x 1600).

• 2–4 computers can share up to four different USB peripherals (KB + MS + USB

operate independently.

• Front-panel push buttons and hotkeys make computer selection easy.

• Supports keyboard and mouse plug-n-play.

• Buzzer sound confirms computer switching.

• Front-panel buttons activate autoscan (KV9704A only).

• Scan time interval is selectable.

• Supports the DisplayPort monitor.

• No software is required.
