READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
Safety instructions:
The use of any electrical appliance requires the user to follow
some common-sense safety rules. Failure to comply can cause
damage to the appliance.
Unpack the Electric Blanket (“Blanket”) and ensure it has not
been damaged during transportation or opening.
When the Blanket is folded, crumpled or used abnormally the
Blanket can overheat which will activate the permanent protection
function. This cannot be repaired at home and should
be returned. Please email us: info@bielay.com.
If the power voltage is lower than recommend, the temperature of
the Blanket rises slowly. This situation is not a malfunction of the
Blanket. Users should pay attention and check power voltage
level.

To prevent damage or malfunction, please observe the following
while using the Electric Blanket. Failing to do so will void our
guarantee:
Do not use folded or rucked. (Fig.1). Never turn the Blanket on
while folded or creased.
Ensure the Blanket is flat when in use. (Fig.2)
Do not use pins on the appliance. Do not scratch with sharp
devices. Do not attempt to secure the Blanket with pins or other
metal objects (Fig.3)
Use the Blanket under the body only. Do not wrap the body with
the blanket or use in any other way. (Fig.4)
Do not use with a helpless person, an infant, or person insensitive
to heat. (Fig.5)
Do not turn on the Blanket when there is any folded bedding or
heavy objects on it, so as not to cause the Blanket to overheat.
(Fig.6)
Do not expose the Blanket to direct sunlight. Do not iron the Blanket.
Avoid any damage to the insulation of the heating wires. (Fig.7)

Do not use together with any other heating appliances (such as foot
warmer, hot-water bottle). (Fig.8)
Do not use with anything that can start a fire on the bed such as
cigarettes, sparks etc, which can lead to fire. (Fig.9)
Switch off the Blanket power supply when not in use. (Fig.10)
Do not dry clean. (Fig.11)
Not to be used by very young children (0-3 years). (Fig.12).
Children under the age of three are not to use this Blanket due to
their inability to react to overheating.
This Blanket is not to be used by young children over the age of
three unless the controls have been pre-set by a parent or guardian
and using the appliance under supervision.

Warnings
Please dispose of in the correct manner and separately from
domestic waste.
Do not unplug the power plug by pulling on the power cord and do
not move the Blanket by pulling on the power cord.
Only operate and control using the switch unit or controller.
The Blanket is not to be used in hospitals.
Do not attempt to repair the Blanket by yourself.
The power cord of the Blanket cannot be changed or repaired. If
the cord is damaged, the appliance must be disposed of.
If used on an adjustable bed, please check the Blanket or cord
cannot become trapped and the cord is not stretched.
Children should not use the Blanket unless their parents or
guardian have already set it up in advance, or unless the child has
been adequately instructed on how to use it safely.
Children should not be allowed to treat the blanket as a toy.
Do not use when crumpled.
Do not tuck under the mattress.

Do not insert pins.
If the heating wire has been cut, do not attempt to repair it by
yourself. Please contact us and we can help.
For all night, and or prolonged use, please set the switch button to
“1” only. Do not set above “1”.
Do not try to repair a fuse link or thermal link. The appliance must
be returned to us or sent to a professional if the link has ruptured.
Users must observe all the above points. Improper use of the
Blanket can lead to fire, body injury or property loss.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Please note the Bielay Electric Blanket can be washed
but NEVER DRY CLEANED.
HAND WASH OR MACHINE WASH (40 degrees)
BEFORE WASHING DISCONNECT THE PLUG FROM THE
MAINS POWER SUPPLY.
Ensure the Blanket is at room temperature before cleaning.
Prior to washing it is essential that you measure the Blanket and
ensure that it has returned to approximately its original size after
washing.
Hand washing - unplug the Blanket from the power socket,
disconnect the control switch and cord from the Blanket. Use a
mild washing powder or detergent and warm water, soak for 5
minutes, gently wash and rinse thoroughly in clean water.
Machine wash – unplug the Blanket from the power socket,
disconnect the control switch and cord from the Blanket. Wash as
wool at 40 degrees.
WARNING: DO NOT ALLOW HEAT SWITCH OR CONTROL
UNIT TO GET WET DURING WASHING.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Drying
When not in use please store as follows:
Inspection prior to use
Never wring the Blanket
Please re-shape the Blanket prior to drying.
Air dry on clothes line. DO NOT peg on the wired area of the
blanket as it will damage the circuit.
Please ensure the Blanket is completely dry before use.
Tumble dry on low heat setting if required.
Inspect to ensure that no wire is visible through the surface,
ensure the wires have not formed loops or twisted back. Hold to
the widow. Check the controller, power supply cord and plug
regularly for cuts or damage.
When not in use for prolonged periods, please unplug the blanket
from the mains socket.
When storing the appliance, allow it to cool before folding.
Do not place heavy items on the Blankets as this causes deep creases
that may damage the wiring. The best method to store is to leave on the
bed; however, you may roll or fold without creasing.

Fitting Instructions
1.Use the cord at point 1A underneath the mattress to point 1B, to
tighten and tie a secure knot.
2.Use the cord at point 2A underneath the mattress to point 2B, to
tighten and tie a secure knot.
3.Ensure that your Blanket is positioned correctly as above.
