Safety Instrucons
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precauons should always be
followed including:
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instrucon
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than
8 years old.
Always ensure the voltage on the rang label corresponds to the voltage in
your home.
Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the
plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualied electrician or a service
repair centre. If in doubt please contact our customer service team.
The appliance is intended for domesc use only. Industrial or commercial use
will void the warranty. The supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or
damage if the appliance has been used for anything other than its intended
use.
Incorrect operaon and use can damage the appliance and cause injury to
the user.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. If
the unit has been damaged take the unit for examinaon and or repair by an
authorised service agent.
Do not immerse or expose the motor assembly, plug or the power cord in
water or any other liquid for any reason.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by
someone who is suitably qualied to avoid a potenal hazard.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the
cord is not in a posion where it can be pulled or tripped over accidentally.
Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place the cord near
hot gas or electric burners or in a heated oven.
Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However
if it is necessary to use an extension cord, ensure that the extension cord is
equal to or greater than the power consumpon of the appliance to avoid
overheang of the appliance and extension cord. Do not use any other
appliance on the extension cord. Do not place the extension cord in a
posion where it can be pulled on by children or animals or be tripped over.
Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even and stable surface. Do not

place the unit on a hot surface.
Always remove the plug of the appliance safely. Do not pull on the
appliances cord to remove the appliance plug from the electrical socket.
Never handle or operate the appliance with wet hands.
Appliance specic safety instrucons
Do not move the inducon hotplate during cooking or with hot cookware on
top of it.
Do not place any metal objects on the hob other than inducon compable
pans whilst the hob is switched on.
Warning: if the surface is cracked, switch o the appliance to avoid the
possibility of an electric shock.
Suitable pot diameter: 16-26cm.
Installing the device
Place the device on a stable and level surface.
Never place the device on a ammable surface (e.g. table cloth, carpet, etc.)
Do not block the venlaon slots of the device. This may overheat the
device.
Keep a min distance of 5 to 10cm to walls or other items.
Do not place the inducon hob next to devices or objects which react
sensively to magnec elds (e.g. radios, TV’s, cassee recorders, etc.)
Do not place the inducon hob next to open res, heaters or other sources
of heat.
Make sure that the mains connecon cable is not damaged or squashed
beneath the device.
Make sure that the mains connecon cable does not come into contact with
sharp edges and or hot surfaces.

Commissioning the device
Prior to connecng the device, check that the voltage indicated on the rang
label corresponds to the voltage supply in your home. Connecng to a
dierent voltage other than the one instructed could damage the product
and lead to injury to persons.
The inducon hobs surface consists of temperature-resistant ceramics. If any
damage is visible disconnect the device from the power supply immediately
and contact the manufacturer.
We recommend not placing any metal kitchen utensils, cookware, pan lids,
knives or other metal objects on the hotplate. These may heat up when the
device is turned on.
In order to avoid overheang, do not place any aluminium foil or metal
plates on the device.
Do not insert any objects like wires or tools into the venlaon slots.
Aenon: this may cause electric shocks.
Do not touch the hot surface of the ceramic eld. Please note: the inducon
hot plate does not heat up itself during cooking, but the temperature of the
cookware heats up the hotplate!
Do not heat up any unopened ns on the inducon hotplate. A heated n
could explode, therefore remove the lid beforehand.
Scienc tests have proven that inducon hotplates do not pose a risk.
However, persons with a pacemaker should keep a minimum distance of 60
cm to the device while it is in operaon.
Do not use pans that are larger than the surface area of the inducon hob.
Operang the device
Plug the lead into a suitable power outlet and an acousc signal will sound.
Place inducon compable cookware in the centre of the hotplate. (Please
note you can test the suitability of the cookware by placing a magnet such as
a fridge magnet on the boom of the cookware. If the magnet aaches to
the boom of the cookware, the cookware is suitable to use with the
inducon hob.

Press the On/Standby key once, the LED display will show “L” and the power
indicator light will ash. The cooking funcon is now ready to be selected.
(Note: if no operaon is selected for 30 seconds aer pressing the On/
Standby key, the indicator light will automacally turn o).
Press the funcon key once, the pre-set power stage “5” is selected and the
device will begin to heat.
You can change the power seng with the arrow keys at any me from the
power range of 1-10.
Press the funcon key a second me to select the temperature seng. The
pre-set temperature “120˚C” will automacally be selected.
The temperature seng can be then changed from a range of 60-240˚C by
using the arrow keys.
The inducon hob can be changed from the power level seng mode to the
temperature seng mode at any me during the operaon by pressing the
funcon key and selecng the desired funcon. The value last set in the
respecve operang mode will be stored upon switch over.
Press the funcon key a third me and the me funcon will be selected.
The display will show the number “0”. The arrow keys can then be used to
select the desired me in 5 minute intervals (up to a max of 180 minutes).
The display will then count down the duraon in minutes. Please note that
the me, power level and temperature seng can all be changed
individually during the cooking process.
Once the cooking or warming process is complete, disconnect the mains plug
from the power outlet.
Do not place any empty cookware on the ceramic plate. Heang an empty
pot or pan will acvate the overheang protecon and the device will turn
o.
Do not operate the device if it is damaged in anyway or does not funcon
properly.
The use of accessories and spare parts not recommended by the
manufacturer may lead to damaging the device and injury to persons.

If a ashing H comes up on the display of this hob, it means that the
appliance is overheang.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Ensure that the power plug is not connected to a socket prior to cleaning the
device. Do not use any causc cleaning agents and make sure that no water
penetrates the device.
To protect yourself from electric shocks, never immerse the device, its cables
and the plug in water or other liquids.
Wipe the appliances ceramic eld with a so cloth with a mild detergent.
Do not use any petrol products as this will result in damage to the plasc
components and the operang panel.
Do not use any ammable, acidic or alkaline materials or substances near the
device, as this may reduce the service life of the device and lead to
deagraon when the device is turned on.
Make sure the boom of the cookware does not scrape across the surface of
the ceramic eld as this could lead to the surface becoming scratched.
Make sure that the device is properly cleaned before storing it in a dry place.

Test method:
This product is EU EPR compliant, and has passed the following test:
Add 2.7 litres of water (room temperature) to a 24cm diameter pot. Set the Induc-
on Hob to the maximum power level (10). When the water is heated to 89 de-
grees C, please adjust the inducon cooker to the second power level. When the
water temperature reaches 90 degrees C, set the mer for 20 minutes. The total
quanty of electricity used in this process is reached by dividing by the amount of
water (2.7KG).

Aer heang food, if you want to keep the food at or above 90 degrees, we
recommend seng the inducon cooker at the second power level in order to
maintain the food of above 90 degrees in the most energy saving way possible.
Once the cooking or warming process is nished, take out the mains plug from
the socket in order to save energy.
