IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using your flatiron, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
1. Use iron only for its intended use.
2. To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse
the iron in water or other liquids.
3. Always turn the knob to “min”before plugging or unplugging
from outlet. Never yank the cord to disconnect from outlet;
instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
4. Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool
completely before putting away. Loop the cord loosely
around iron when storing.
5. Always disconnect iron from electrical outlet when filling
with water, cleaning, emptying or when not in use.
6. Do not fill the reservoir with water before unplugging from
the socket.
7. Do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has
been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric
shock, do not disassemble and reassemble the iron by
yourself. Take it to an authorized service center for
examination and/or repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause
a risk of electric shock when iron is used.
8. This iron shall not be used by children without supervision.
Do not leave iron unattended while connected or on an
ironing board. Keep the appliance and its cord out of
children’s reach.
9. Burns can occur from contact with hot metal parts, hot
water or steam. Use carefully when you turn a steam iron
upside down –there may be hot water in the reservoir.
10. The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.

11. The iron cannot be used if it has been dropped and there
are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
12. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.
13. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be sent to
authorized service center or similarly qualified person in
order to avoid a hazard.
14. Keep the hot iron away from fabrics or very inflammable
surfaces.
15. Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands and
never leave the appliance exposed to the rain, sun, etc.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high
wattage appliance on the same circuit.
2. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10-ampere
cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may
overheat. Please arrange the cord carefully so that it
cannot be pulled or tripped over.
3. There is still heat after the temperature knob has been
turned off, do not touch the hot surface before it cools down in
case burns.

USING THE IRON FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. Before using the iron for the first time, remove the plastic
protector from the base (if it has one) clean the base with a
soft damp cloth.
2. Keep the base smooth and do not make it in touch with
metal objects (such as against the buttons, zip, etc.)
3. We recommend you to do pre-ironing on a test cloth before
ironing the garment for the first time.
4. When using the iron for the first time, you may hear some
sounds made by the expanding plastics. This is quite
normal and it stops after a short time.
5. Certain parts of the iron have been lightly greased, so the iron
could give off a little smoke when plugged in for the first time.
This will cease after a short while.
HOW TO FILL THE WATER TANK
1. Unplug the iron.
2. Set the steam knob to (dry) and temperature knob to
OFF.
3. Fill the tank through the filling hole, please note not to fill
up to the MAX line.
4. It is advisable to use only distilled or demineralized water
not hard water.
5. Do not use chemically de-limed water or perfumed.
DRY IRONING
1. Ensure steam button is turned to the (dry) setting.
2. Plug the cord into the outlet socket.

3. Turn temperature knob to desired setting. Allow iron to heat
for 2 minutes on its heel rest on a stable, protected
surface.
4. The indicator light will be illuminated. Wait until the
indicator light goes out, which indicates that the selected
temperature has been reached.
Note: While steam button is turned to the (dry) setting,
you may still use the Spray or Shot Steam function. Water
tank must be at least1/4 full of water.
STEAM IRONING
1. Fill the iron as described in the section “How to fill the
water tank”.
2. Plug the iron into the socket.
3. Turn the temperature knob to your desired temperature.
The indicator light will be illuminated. Wait until the
indicator light goes out, which indicates that the selected
temperature has been reached.
4. Turn the steam button to the desired setting.
5. When the ironing is finished or during breaks in ironing,
please place the iron in its upright position.
6. Disconnect the iron from the mains supply. Pour out any
remaining water and leave the iron to cool off.
Note: Steam ironing is only workable when the highest
temperatures have been selected. Otherwise, water may leak
through the soleplate.
SPRAY
Spray function is a powerful water spray mist that dampens
the fabric to aid in removing wrinkles from heavy fabrics and
for setting creases.

1. The spray function can be used in any temperature, either
in dry or steam ironing, as long as the water tank is filled
with water.
2. Firmly press the spray button for this function
Note: This button has to be pressed repetitively to start this
function for the first time.
SHOT OF STEAM
Shot of steam provides an extra burst of steam for deep
penetration of stubborn wrinkles. You can use this feature
while Dry or Steam ironing.
1. Place the temperature knob at the “max” position and wait
until the indicator light goes out.
2. Place the iron on top of the wrinkle and press the Shot of
Steam button each time you would like an extra burst of
steam.
3. Wait for a few seconds for the steam to penetrate the fiber
before pressing again.
Note: The Shot of Steam function may be used continuously
in approximately 3-second intervals.
ANTI-DRIP
With the anti-drip system, you can perfectly iron even the
most delicate fabrics.
Always iron these fabrics at low temperatures. The plate may
cool down to the point where no more steam comes out, but
the drops of boiling water can leave marks or stains. In these
cases, the Anti-drip system automatically activates to prevent
vaporization, so that you can iron the most delicate fabrics
without risk of spoiling or staining them.

MAINTAINING THE APPLIANCE
Cleaning soleplate: Clean with a 100% cotton cloth if starch
or other residues accumulate after iron is unplugged and
cool.
Warning: Do not immerse in liquids or use abrasive
cleansers, scouring pads or vinegar to clean the soleplate.
This will damage the finish.
Self-clean function: Use the self-clean function once a
month to maintain optimal iron performance.
1. Turn off the iron.
2. Turn the Steam knob back and forth to remove debris and
minerals from Steam Valve. This keeps water flowing into
the steam chamber.
3. Fill water tank with tap water to MAX line.
4. Plug in iron, set Temperature knob to Linen and heat for 2
minutes.
5. Unplug iron. Holding iron over a sink in a horizontal
position, press Self-clean button and hold. Water will
begin dripping from the steam vents. Slowly rock iron side
to side and front to back for 30 seconds. Dip nose of the
iron slightly below the rear to circulate water. Release
Self-clean button after one minute.
6. Open fill cap and empty remaining water. Carefully dry
soleplate with a towel.
7. Plug in iron and set Temperature knob to Linen and heat
for 2 minutes to dry out completely. Set the temperature
knob to Off, unplug the iron, and allow it to cool down.
CLEANING AND STORAGE

1. Set the temperature knob to OFF position and the steam
knob to (dry).
2. Unplug the appliance from the mains socket.
3. Empty water tank completely after each use for a longer
iron life.
4. Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
5. Loosely loop the power cord around the heel rest and store
the iron on its heel rest.
Note: Wrapping the cord around the iron too tightly can
damage the cord.
IRONING TIPS
1. Before ironing, check the garment label and follow
manufacturer’s instructions. If no instructions, start with a
low-heat setting and test by ironing a small area, and
gradually increase heat.
2. Sort garments by fabric type. Iron articles requiring a low-
temperature setting and gradually work up the temperature
range.
3. When changing from a high-temperature setting to a lower
one, allow 5 minutes for change.
4 When steam ironing, use long, slow passes over the fabric
to allow the steam to penetrate the fabric and the heat of
the soleplate to dry the moisture.
5. Iron linen garments inside out to prevent shine. An ironing
cloth or cotton fabric can be used to reduce shine.
6. If the garment is lined, use a low heat setting.
7. Ensure zippers are closed and flap is flat. Iron over the
flap, holding the garment taut
8. Fabrics that have some kind of finish (polishing, wrinkles,
contrasts) can be ironed at the lowest temperatures.
