Die Vertikalbeleuchtungen S dürfen nur für die nachfolgend beschriebenen Zwecke verwendet werden.

Die Bedienungsanleitung des verwendeten Mikroskops (SteREO Discovery) ist zu beachten.

Schmutz und Staub können das Gerät in seiner Funktionstüchtigkeit beeinträchtigen. Das Gerät

ist daher weitgehend vor solchen Einflüssen zu schützen.

Beschreibung

Mit Hilfe der Vertikalbeleuchtung S können tiefenausgedehnte Objekte wie z. B. Bohrungen,

Vertiefungen und Löcher ausgeleuchtet werden, da der Winkel zwischen Beleuchtung und Beobachtung

klein ist und das Licht auf die Feldmitte konzentriert wird.

Die Vertikalbeleuchtung S kann mit vorhandenen Standard-Kaltlichtquellen, vorzugsweise mit der

CL 1500 ECO, betrieben werden. Die Vertikalbeleuchtung S ist über einen optionalen, flexiblen Lichtleiter

mit Durchmesser 4,5 mm mit der Kaltlichtquelle zu verbinden.

Sie ist verwendbar für die Objektive Plan S 1,0x, Achromat S 1,0x, Achromat S 0,63x, Achromat S 0,5x,

PlanApo S 1,0x und PlanApo S 0,63x.

Inbetriebnahme

•Vertikalbeleuchtung S (Bild 1/2) von unten auf

das Objektiv (Bild 1/1) des Stereomikroskops

aufstecken, in Nord-Süd-Richtung ausrichten

(Zugstange (Bild 1/5) zeigt nach vorn zum

Bediener) und mit beiden Schrauben (Bild 1/6)

festklemmen.

•Flexiblen Lichtleiter (Bild 1/3) bis zum Anschlag

in die Aufnahme der Vertikalbeleuchtung S

einschieben (dazu Rändelschraube (Bild 1/4)

ggf. etwas lösen) und Rändelschraube (Bild 1/4)

festziehen.

•Flexiblen Lichtleiter mit der Kaltlichtquelle

verbinden.

•Kaltlichtquelle einschalten.

Bedienung

Der Beleuchtungsspiegel der Vertikalbeleuchtung S

ist in Nord-Süd-Richtung zwischen 0 und 19 mm

beweglich und feststellbar, was bei einem Objektiv

Plan S 1,0x einem Winkel von 0 bis 8° entspricht.

Somit kann je nach Objektiv und Zoomstellung der

Beleuchtungsspiegel bezüglich Probenausleuch-

tung und Vignettierungsfreiheit optimiert werden.

•Durch Verschieben der Schubstange (Bild 2/3)

den Beleuchtungswinkel des Spiegels (Bild 2/1)

für eine optimale Betrachtung des Objektes

einstellen.

•Die Position der Schubstange durch Festziehen

des Klemmknopfes (Bild 2/2) fixieren.

•Befindet sich das Objektiv am Objektivschlitten

S/doc oder am Objektivrevolver S/doc, 3-fach,

6x cod. in der Mono-Position muss die Schub-

stange für eine optimale Betrachtung des

Objektes erneut eingestellt werden. In der

Mono-Position am Objektivrevolver S/doc muss

zudem auch die Vertikalbeleuchtung S in Nord-

Süd-Richtung neu ausgerichtet werden.

Eine Skalierung in 2 mm Schritten an der Zugstange erlaubt eine reprodu

zierbare Einstellung

der Spiegelposition.

S must not be disposed of with the household waste;

dispose of them in compliance with the provisions of the law.

Also specimens have to be disposed of properly according to the applicable legal provisions and

internal work instructions.

Description

The Vertical Illumination Device S is a very suitable accessory to illuminate objects extended in depth, such

as bores, recesses and holes, due to the small angle between illumination and observation and the

concentration of the light towards the field center.

The Vertical Illumination Device S can be operated in combination with an existing standard cold-light

source, preferably with the CL 1500 ECO. An optional, flexible light guide of 4.5 mm diameter is used to

connect the Vertical Illumination Device S with the cold-light source.

It can be combined with the objectives Plan S 1,0x, Achromat S 1,0x, Achromat S 0,63x,

Achromat S 0,5x, PlanApo S 1,0x and PlanApo S 0,63x.

Putting into Operation

•Attach the Vertical Illumination Device S

(Fig. 1/2) from below to the objective (Fig. 1/1)

of the stereomicroscope, orientate it to north-

south (push-pull rod (Fig. 1/5) projects

frontward, i.e. to the user) and fix it using both

screws (Fig. 1/6).

•Introduce the flexible light guide (Fig. 1/3) into

the mount of the Vertical Illumination Device S

as far as it will go (if necessary, loosen the

knurled screw (Fig. 1/4) slightly) and tighten the

knurled screw (Fig. 1/4).

•Connect the flexible light guide with the cold-

light source.

•Switch on the cold-light source.

Operation

The illumination mirror of the Vertical Illumination

Device S is movable between 0 and 19 mm in

north-south direction and can be locked in any

position within this range. With a Plan S 1,0x

objective, this corresponds to an angle of 0 to 8°.

This allows the position of the illumination mirror

to be optimized in dependence on the objective

and zoom setting in order to obtain the

appropriate illumination of the specimen and

exclude vignetting.

•For an optimum observation of the object,

adjust the illumination angle of the mirror

(Fig. 2/1) by shifting the push-pull rod (Fig. 2/3).

•Fix the position of the push-pull rod by

tightening the clamping knob (Fig. 2/2).

•If the objective is attached to the objective slider

S/doc or to the triple objective nosepiece S/doc,

6x cod. in mono position, the push-pull rod

must be re-adjusted to optimize the observation

of the object. If the mono position on the

objective nosepiece S/doc is used, also the

Vertical Illumination Device S must be re-

adjusted in north-south direction.

The scale with 2 mm intervals on the push-

pull rod allows the reproducible adjustment of the

mirror position.
