Assembling the Wispr Ranger Series Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS)
1. Landing Gear Overview

7
2. Attach landing gear to UAS body
a. Insert each landing gear into the landing gear bracket on the bottom of the UAS
b. Make sure that antenna mounts are facing outward of the UAS away from payload area.
c. Make sure that both of the landing gear feet are parallel to each other, and the UAS sits
flat on the ground.
d. Tighten each screw on each of the landing gear mounts until screws have been fully
tighten.
e. Attach antennas to Velcro on the antenna mount and make sure Velcro is fastened and
antennas are mounted securely.

8
3. Attach the propellers to the motors
a. The propellers come in pairs one counter-clockwise (ccw) propeller and another
clockwise (cw) propeller. The cw propeller has a L marked on the propeller and the ccw
propeller has a R marked on it so you can easily tell the difference in the cw and ccw
propellers. Ranger Propellers are 18.5” with a pitch of 6.3
(R) or counterclockwise spinning
propeller
(L) or clockwise spinning
propeller

9
b. Attach the cw propellers to the front left and back right motors with the KDE logo on the
propeller facing upward towards the sky. Screw in propellers using the 2.5mm driver
given with each drone sold. Make sure propellers are mounted tight to the motor and
have no play.
c. Attach the ccw propellers to the front right and back left motors with the KDE logo on
the propeller facing upward towards the sky. Screw in propellers using the 2.5mm driver
given with each drone sold. Make sure propellers are mounted tight to the motor and
have no play.
Clockwise propellers
go on the front left
and back right motors
Propeller’s logo must be
facing the sky and
propellers must be
mounted securely.
Counterclockwise
propellers go on the
front right and back
left motors
Propeller’s logo must
be facing the sky and
propellers must be
mounted securely.

4. Inserting Battery into UAS
a. Ranger Series Batteries are 22.8V LiPo HV, 6S, 17000mAh or 17Ah –
i. When inserting the Ranger Series Battery, make sure the silver side is up when
inserting.
ii. Run the strap between the red and black wires and around the standoff then
attach the Velcro strap tightly to prevent the battery from potentially sliding
out.
Insert battery with silver side up with
the XT90 plug wires on the right side.
Pull Velcro strap through red and
black XT90 plug and around standoff
then tighten Velcro strap.
