USING

YOUR

UNIT

Your

Trimmer

is

equipped

with

the

semi-automatic

Tap-N-Go®

Cutting

Head

that

cuts

with

the

tip

of

a

monofiiament

nyion

iine.

The

nyion

cutting

iine

can

easiiy

remove

grass

and

weeds

from

around

waiis,

fences,

trees,

and

fiower

beds.

The

cutting

iine

aiso

can

cut

the

tender

bark

of

trees

or

shrubs

and

scar

fences.

For

this

reason,

it

is

very

important

to

iearn

the

proper

techniques

of

cutting

around

and

near

ob

jects.

The

iife

of

the

cutting

head

and

iine

is

affected

by

the

foliowing

conditions:

•

The

nylon

cutting

line

will

wear

faster:

—

when

you

are

cutting

against

rocks,

bricks,

concrete,

metal

fences,

etc.,

than

against

trees

or

wooden

fences.

—

when

allowed

to

contact

solid

objects

at

a

higher

speed

than

necessary

to

cut

the

desired

material.

•

The

cutting

head

will

wear

prematurely:

—

if

allowed

to

continuously

contact

the

ground

during

normal

cutting.

—

if

the

line

iimiter

is

not

kept

sharp.

WARNING!

Never

use

wire

in

place

of

the

monofiiament

cutting
