Important Safety Precautions
When using your Vivitar 4K Waterproof Camcorder, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR CAMCORDER.
2. Shut down immediate and remove the battery if it is exposed to water or
short circuiting.
3. Do not allow children or the infirm to play with your camcorder without
adult supervision.
4. Do not expose your camcorder to excessive heat, flames or fire.
5. Always press all buttons or switches carefully. Do not manhandle your
camcorder.
6. Do not use in extremely dry environments, as this can lead to static
discharge during usage.
7. Do not expose your camcorder to temperatures above 50°C.
8. Do not attempt to repair this product yourself. Contact a qualified service
center if your dash cam is in need of service.
9. Do not drop, puncture or expose your camcorder to excessive trauma.
10. Your camcorder is not intended for commercial use.
11. Do not place near objects that generate a strong magnetic field.
12. Unplug this device when not in use for long periods of time or during
lightning storms.
13. Only use the supplied battery. Do not use if the battery has expanded
or leaked. If the battery or any parts have been swallowed, seek medical
attention immediately.
14. Do not operate your camcorder while you are driving an automobile.
15. Store in a cool, dry environment when not in use.
16. Before use, make sure that the battery has been fully charged and that a
suitable memory card inserted.

-Do not dispose of in fire or expose to excessive heat.
-Do not crush, puncture, incinerate, or short circuit
external contacts.
-Please recycle or dispose of the battery properly.

er, item DVR48K. You can use your camcorder to capture high
quality videos and photos. In order to get the best results when
using this device, please read this manual first before using.

Button Functions
-Press to power on the camcorder.
-Press and hold to power o the camcorder.
-Press to pull up settings menu.
-Press to exit menu or return to previous menu.
-Press the UP & DOWN Buttons to toggle through
selections on the display screen.
-Press to switch between camera modes.
-Zoom in or out in (wide/telephoto) in photo/video mode.
-Adjust volume during video playback.
-Toggle through menus.

-In video mode, press to start and stop recording.
-In photo mode, press to take a picture.

Before powering on your camcorder, insert a Micro SD memory
card into the memory card slot. A Micro SD memory card is
required in order to store recorded photos and videos. To
ensure smooth performance, it is recommended to use a
memory card rated class 10 or above, with a capacity between
16-128GB.
NOTE:
1. If a “Card is Full” error message appears on your display
screen, you can either delete files or use another card in
order to take more photos or videos.
Inserting a Memory Card
2. You may need to format a memory card for the
camcorder to recognize it properly. Be sure to backup
any files stored on a memory card before formatting, as
the formatting process will delete all files stored on the
card.
1. Close the monitor to
turn off device
2. Open the battery
cover
3. Insert a Micro SD
card into the
memory card slot.
Push the Micro SD
card inward once,
then pull it out.

Opening and Closing the Battery Cover
To Open the Battery Cover
1.Slide the cover lock downward
and hold.
2. While holding the cover lock
down, push the battery cover to the
right.
3. Lift the cover slowly.
To Close the Battery Cover
1. Flip down the battery cover.
2. Press the cover down while sliding
it to the left until it clicks into place.
Make sure the waterproof seal fits
around the edge of the cover.
NOTE: The cover lock automatically
goes to LOCK position when battery
cover is properly closed. If the
security lock is on UNLOCK position,
the cover is not properly closed.
CAUTION
Do not let water or debris
get inside the battery cover,
doing so will result in
damage to battery and
waterproof seal. Damages or
scratches to the waterproof
seal and battery cover will
compromise waterproofing
ability and result in leaks.

Charging the Battery
A rechargeable battery is included
with your camcorder.
Open the battery cover and insert
battery into the battery slot. The
battery should slide securely in
place.
Plug the Micro USB Charging Cable
into the USB port. Then attach the
other end of the cable to a
computer or an AV adapter. Plug
the AV adapter to an electric outlet.
The charging light indicator will emit a green
light while device is charging.
