WARNING

• Shut off power at the circuit breaker or fuse panel before removing the old fixture or

installing the new one.

CAUTION

• DO NOT USE THIS FIXTURE WITH A DIMMING CIRCUIT. If you presently have dimmer controls,

you will need to remove them, and replace them with regular electrical switches. If you have a three-

way dimmer, you will have to replace it with a regular three-way switch. If you are unfamiliar with

electrical installations, it is recommended you have a qualified electrician do your installation.

1. Drill out 2 holes on the base of the fixture (A) that line

up with the electrical box ears (Fig. 1). Thread the supply

leads through the electrical box gasket (FF).

Connect the supply leads from the electrical box to the

fixture wire leads using the wire nuts (AA) supplied

in your installation hardware kit as per the

illustration. The black lead from the fixture

goes to the black supply lead and the white

lead from the fixture goes to the white

supply lead (Fig. 2). Secure the wire nuts

properly to prevent the wires from coming

loose. Tape the wire nuts (AA) to the wire

using electrical tape. Carefully push the

excess wires back inside the electrical box.

3. Secure the fixture (A) base onto to the electrical box

using the machine screws (CC) (Fig. 3). Do not mount this

fixture (A) without the electrical box gasket (FF) in place.

With power disconnected to your electrical box, remove the old fixture. If your old fixture is attached to

an electrical box having more than two (2) wire leads, it is recommended you use tape and markings

to keep track of which wires were attached to each other.

4. Remove the diffuser (B) by unscrewing the 4 diffuser

screws (D) (Fig. 4). Set the screws (D) aside while

installing the bulb (C).

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Insert the proper GU24 base 23W compact fluorescent

bulb (C) into the socket (Fig. 5). Hold the bulb (C) by its

base, insert the pins into the 2 curved slots in the bulb

socket and twist clockwise until the bulb (C) "seats". The

bulb can only go into the socket one way. Do NOT force the

bulb (C). CAUTION: DO NOT HOLD THE BULB (C) BY THE

GLASS DURING INSERTION OR REMOVAL TO PREVENT

ACCIDENTAL BREAKAGE! HOLD THE BULB (C) BY THE

PLASTIC BASE.

Re-install the diffuser (B) on the fixture (A) body. Do not

over-tighten the screws (D).

Restore power to the electrical box to make sure your fixture

(A) is working properly.

Your fixture (A) MUST be mounted with one of the UP

arrow ( ) symbols facing upward (Fig. 6). The arrow ( )

symbols are molded to the back surface of the housing.

To adjust the angle of the fixture (A), untighten the friction

lock at the side of the diffuser arm. Adjust the diffuser arm

to the proper angle, and tighten into place (Fig. 7). To

adjust the diffuser on a horizontal axis, loosen the

adjustment cog on the base of the diffuser arm and rotate

the diffuser as necessary. Retighten the adjustment cog

when the desired angle has been achieved.

1. If your security light cycles ON and OFF, the

dusk-to-dawn sensor (E) may be activating due to reflected

light from a nearby surface. Place the sensor hood (DD)

firmly over the dusk-to-dawn sensor (Fig. 1). This should

prevent extraneous light from ‘tripping’ the dusk-to-dawn

sensor (DD).

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Your indoor/outdoor lantern is controlled by a dusk-to-dawn photo light sensor (E). Therefore, for your

lantern to work properly, the electrical switch to the lantern MUST be turned ON at ALL times.

You may want to periodically clean the fixture using a mild, non-abrasive glass cleaner and soft

cloth. Do NOT use solvents or cleaners containing abrasive agents. When cleaning the fixture,

make sure you have the power turned off and do not spray liquid cleaner directly onto the bulb,

socket, ballast, or wiring.

To disable the dusk-to-dawn sensor (E), you will need to

install the sensor cap (EE) over the dusk-to-dawn sensor

(E) (Fig. 2). This will prevent the dusk-to-dawn sensor (E)

from controlling the ON/OFF function, and should allow you

to control the fixture (A) with the wall switch.

1. Remove the diffuser (B) by unscrewing the diffuser screws (D) and pulling the diffuser (B) straight

out (Fig. 1).

This fixture uses one (1) GU24 CFL23W self-ballasted fluorescent bulb.

Before replacing bulb (C), shut off power to the fixture at the circuit breaker or fuse panel. Allow

sufficient time for fixture and lamp to cool.

4. Dispose of the old lamp(s) in accordance with local, state, and/or federal laws, or go to

www.lamprecycle.org for more information.

2. Remove the defective bulb by grasping it by the

plastic base and unscrewing it from the bulb socket 1/4

turn in counterclockwise direction (Fig. 1).

3. Install the new bulb in the same manner you

removed the old bulb. Put the diffuser (B) back onto the

fixture (A), and screw into place. Restore power to the

fixture (A).

BULB REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Minor problems often can be fixed without the help of an electrician. Before doing any work on the

fixture, shut off power supply at the circuit breaker panel to avoid electrical shock.

The manufacturer warrants this lighting fixture to be free from defects in materials and workmanship

for a period of (3) years from the date of original purchase by the consumer. We will repair or replace

(at our option) the unit in the original color and style if available, or in a similar color and style if the

original item has been discontinued, without charge. The manufacturer warrants the lamp for 3 years,

providing the lamp is not used in a commercial application where it is on 24 hours per day, but is

used in a residential environment for 3 - 5 hours per day. Defective units must be properly packed

and returned to the manufacturer with a letter of explanation and your original purchase receipt

showing date of purchase. Call 1-866-994-4148 to obtain a return authorization number and an

address where to ship your defective product. Note: No C.O.D. shipments will be accepted. The

liability of the manufacturer is in any case limited to replacement of the defective light fixture product.

1. Percez deux trous dans la base du luminaire (A)

de manière à ce qu’ils s’alignent aux oreilles du

coffret de branchement (Fig. 1). Passez les fils

d’alimentation à travers le joint d’étanchéité du coffret

de branchement (FF).

Raccordez les fils d’alimentation provenant du coffret

de branchement aux fils de raccordement du

luminaire à l’aide de capuchons de connexion

(AA). Raccordez le fil noir provenant du

support du luminaire (A) au fil

d’alimentation noir et raccordez le fil blanc

provenant du support du luminaire (A) au fil

d’alimentation blanc (Fig. 2). Assurez-vous

que les capuchons de connexion (AA) sont

solidement fixés. Vous pouvez enrouler du

ruban isolant autour des capuchons de

connexion (AA) pour les empêcher de se

détacher. Repoussez les fils raccordés avec

précaution à l’intérieur du coffret de branchement.

Fixez la base du luminaire (A) au coffret de

branchement à l’aide de vis à métaux (CC) (Fig. 3).

N’installez pas ce luminaire (A) si le joint d’étanchéité

du coffret de branchement (EE) n'est pas en place.

Coupez l‘alimentation électrique au coffret de branchement, puis retirez l’ancien luminaire. Si l’ancien

luminaire est relié à un coffret de branchement doté de plus de deux (2) fils de connexion, nous vous

suggérons d’utiliser du ruban isolant et des marques de repère pour déterminer quels fils étaient fixés

ensemble.

INSTRUCTIONS POUR L’ASSEMBLAGE

Retirez le diffuseur (B) en dévissant les quatre vis qui

le retiennent (D) (Fig. 4). Mettez les vis (D) de côté

pendant que vous installez l’ampoule (C).

1. Il est possible que votre luminaire de sécurité, utilisé à

l'extérieur, s’allume et s’éteigne constamment si des reflets

de lumière provenant d’une surface à proximité activent le

capteur crépusculaire (D). Fixez solidement le capuchon

(DD) sur le capteur (Fig. 1). Le capuchon empêchera toute

source de lumière autre que celle du soleil de déclencher le

capteur crépusculaire (D).

MODE D’EMPLOI

Votre lanterne pour l’intérieur et l’extérieur fonctionne à l’aide d'un capteur crépusculaire (D). Ainsi,

pour assurer le bon fonctionnement de votre lanterne, il est nécessaire de TOUJOURS laisser le

luminaire SOUS TENSION en TOUT temps.

INSTRUCTIONS POUR L’ASSEMBLAGE

Insérez l'ampoule fluorescente compacte (C) de 23 w à

base GU24 dans la douille (Fig. 5). Tout en tenant l'ampoule

recourbées de la douille de l'ampoule (C) et tournez dans le

sens des aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à ce que l'ampoule

placée dans la douille que d'une seule manière. NE serrez

PAS trop fort. MISE EN GARDE : NE TENEZ PAS

L'AMPOULE PAR SA PARTIE EN VERRE PENDANT SON

INSERTION OU SON RETRAIT AFIN D'ÉVITER DE LA

CASSER PAR ACCIDENT ! TENEZ L'AMPOULE PAR SON

CULOT EN PLASTIQUE.

Réinstallez le diffuseur (B) sur le corps du luminaire (A).

Ne serrez pas trop les vis (D).

Rétablissez l’alimentation électrique du coffret de

branchement.

6. Votre luminaire (A) DOIT être monté avec l’un des

symboles de flèche vers le haut ( ) orienté vers le haut

(Fig. 6). Les symboles de flèches ( ) sont moulés sur

la surface arrière du logement.

Pour ajuster l’angle du luminaire (A), desserrez le

serrage à friction qui se trouve à côté du bras du

diffuseur. Ajustez l’angle du bras du diffuseur, puis

fixez-le fermement (Fig. 7). Pour ajuster le diffuseur à

l’horizontale, desserrez les dents de réglage de la base

du diffuseur et faites-le tourner au besoin. Resserrez les

dents de réglage lorsque le diffuseur est dans l’angle

souhaité.
